Brought in 1993 Sundowner GN trailer to give it a go over to be safe as it has set for several years. Chris and Matt give me great advice on what was needed for safe use and did a lot of updates, some much needed paint on the wheels and metal parts and toped it off with an aluminum wash. the pricing was super reasonable. When I pulled in to pick my trailer, I had to do a double take to make sure it was mine as it looked almost new. Highly recommend!!! Mr. Lance opened his shop at 6:00pm Sunday of Memorial Day weekend because I was broke down traveling from Florida to Michigan. He stayed and offered to check the air pressure in all my tires to make sure my trailer was ready to complete my trip. He had great prices, more than helpful and great personality. Great service, friendly and professional staff, very helpful! We went in to price out a 5th wheel hitch for our new to us truck, three hours later (after lunch and assembly) we drove away with it installed. Chris helped answer our questions and educate us about the installed brake controller and make sure it was working, and helped free up the gooseneck ball that was stuck in the truck, no charges for any of the shop work, just the sale of the hitch! I wasn't sure if I should post this, but here goes. My husband and I went to Lance's Trailers hoping to find a trailer to use on our farm. We were met with a friendly face from a young woman with long dark hair. She was personable and we thought it had gotten off to a great start. It went down hill after that. Apparently the owner was there that day and joined us outside to look at trailers. We were thrilled to see that the owner cared enough to give us some of his time. That was not why he was there. From the minute we started looking at trailers all of his attention was on the pretty sales girl. He was flirty and kept making jokes to her. It was very weird. She kind of went along with it and laughed. I couldn't really tell if she was uncomforatble or not. We sure were! He acted like a love struck school kid. After a few minutes we made an excuse to leave. I could see that she was married by her rings but I don't know if he is married. Either way it was embarassing and we will never go there again. The whole thing was gross and and very unprofessional. We ended up driving back up to Columbus for a trailer. read more

After wasting six weeks of dealing with Lance's trailer sales our deal completely fell through do to the company (Haulmark) they represent. At least that's their story. Bottom line is that I was working with a time frame of which they were well aware of. We got an order placed for a semi-custom trailer that could take up to 12 weeks for delivery. Then 2 weeks after placing the order I got a call from Lance's to let me know that Haulmark had told them that they had been given bad info and that this trailer could take up to 17 weeks, and that amount of time I did not have. I put a call into the owner, Chris Lance, on Friday August 4th. He was very apologetic and asked me that I give him the weekend to try to come up with a solution before I told him "to go sh$t in his hat". I agreed. Unfortunately, that was the last I have heard from him. Today is August 20th. They still have my deposit check so I am hoping that they might reach out sometime to return it. Bottom line. I gave them 3 stars because they are really nice guys. If your nearby I suggest going in for some friendly conversation. Drink your coffee, enjoy the bullshit, and then move along to somewhere else for a trailer. Now......you can go sh$t in your hat! read more

Lance's has serviced my Sooner 2 horse bumper pull and have always received great service and pricing. Can trust they'll tell you what work needs to be done and explain everything thoroughly! This place, who is in the business of dealing trailers and hitches, doesn't even own the proper tool to assemble a ball to a drawbar. He used some water-pipe pliers (channel-locks) with sharp teeth, and gouged up the chrome on the brand new ball AND nut (both sides) of the inferior drawbar I was conned into buying. I needed a 2-1/2 square tubing, sorry, they only had 2", which isn't even rated to half of the GVWR. I needed a 3" drop, sorry - you'll take this 4" drop instead. (I was told not to worry about it when I called to ensure I'd be equipped to transport it home. They said they carry a full selection of these things, and all I needed to bring was my checkbook.) The damage he did to my "new" ball far exceeds any amount of wear-and-tear I could EVER do to ANYTHING I own, ever (I own proper tools, and I'm not even in the business of servicing these things). This wrecked drawbar set me back an additional $75 and immediately went in the trash after (barely) getting the trailer home. They inflated the specifications to con me into buying. After researching the specs online, I am a victim of trusting the wrong people. The trailer is built a lot lighter than their claims, with roof centers on 24" instead of the 16" they claimed to get the sale. They also told me the GVWR was 400 lbs over what it actually is. I'm appalled at the way they con people, and cannot foresee continued profits for anyone who tricks trusting customers like this. Heed my warning, stay very far away from this amateur who is too cheap to invest in the ONE tool needed to attach a trailer ball without gouging up the chrome. (it is not "common practice" when the correct tools cost $20 and regular people own them) So cunning to deceive trusting people like this. read more
