OUTSTANDING!!!! Dr. James is amazing! So honest, easy to talk to, compassionate, understanding, professional, realistic. I could go on and on! The staff is incredible. Everyone is so compassionate and just truly wonderful. Thank you for taking such amazing care of Tatum. She is doing great and we appreciate all of you!!! Lamp Vet Clinic is a ripoff. My complaint: A couple months ago I took my dog to Lamp Vet Clinic and Dr James said he would approve a prescription to buy Flea medication from 1-800-PETMEDS. Thursday I placed the order and paid for the medication from 800-PETMEDS. Friday the medication order was rejected. I called Lamp Vet and the receptionist said they would not release the prescription to 800-PETMEDS unless I had a heart-worm test within a year. I made the appointment for Monday morning. Monday morning I took off work to take my dog to the test appointment. After the test they tried to sell me medication. I said that I had already paid for it at 800-PETMEDS. After lunch I called them to confirm that the prescription was released to 800-PETMEDS. I was told by the receptionist that they do not release prescriptions to online sellers and said that I could come back and buy the flea medication from Lamp Vet Clinic. Lamp is a ripoff. 2 people from Lamp Vet Clinic told me they would write the prescription for 800-PETMEDS. I made an appointment and came in and paid them for the appointment to get the prescription. Then they would not release the prescription. They should have told me this from the beginning. Instead I lost time from work (2 times today) once for the appointment and again for going down there to tell them what I think of them. Find another place to take your pet. There are 3 vets in this town and many in the area. read more

It took us well over a year to get our bully from the start. They would communicate back then. We…read morechose 4 paws for the 'guarantee' they used to have listed on their site (9-10years ago). They stood by their breeding. By the time our baby was 7 mos, he was dx with hip dysplasia. 4 paws refused to accept this. Even with X-ray verification. We didn't want to give him up for a 'replacement' as we already loved him. (By the way, 4 paws removed their guarantee after this too) He had a great temperament and was super smart! And GORGEOUS! We kept him on maintenance meds and babied him for his hips. They would cause discomfort throughout the year and weather patterns. He stayed monitored by a vet to manage this care. At 8 years old, he developed a major kidney disease that caused horrible incontinence. He was mortified and it wasn't his fault. Sweet baby. He would urinate uncontrollably in his sleep. This worsened and made it to where his muscles didn't want to function to allow him to walk. Especially adding in his hips. We had to euthanize our baby to allow him to rest and not suffer. Other than the health of our boy, he turned heads everywhere he went. He had great manners and personality. Everyone loved him! He was a wonderful boy! The health was definitely not as solid as sold by the breeding suggested.

I chose this veterinary place because I wanted the least stressful death for my 19 year old dog. Going to veterinaries even if they were good was not a fun experience for any of my pets. This mobile veterinary is everything I was hoping it was. The veterinary and an assistant came in the house, made sure my dog was comfortable and proceeded with the euthanasia process. It was still really sad, but they make the best effort to make you feel at ease and your pet. I've gotten recommended this place before and the people who recommended me this place have also have great experiences with them for other services.

Even though Colorado Valley Vet was scheduled to close one minute after my call, I explained what happened to my dog and in fear of a snake bite, they offered to stay after closing to check out my dog, especially before a long journey home. The team was so nice and caring for my dog! Checked him out and gave him appropriate medication right away and reassured us he'd be fine. Hours later, he was back to normal. Thank you to Colorado Valley Vet for your generosity in staying after hours and expertise in taking care of our beloved dog. Five stars!!!

This clinic is also known as Star Hill Veterinary Clinic, at 957 East Hill, in Bellville, Texas. Dr. Lamp has proven to be kind and knowledgeable and has a wonderful way with our pets. We've only used the boarding service one time ... with our pet, Lucy. Sadly, near the end of her first boarding experience (and while we were away on vacation), the staff discovered that Lucy was very ill. They were dedicated in searching for answers and finding out the cause of her pain and discomfort and administering the most necessary pain medication. It turns out that none of us were aware that, over a long period of time, Lucy had a large tumor growing in her abdomen. As so often happens, they're fine one day and down the next. Lucy had a high tolerance for pain and the signs were not obvious until the night before we returned from our trip. We came home to the upsetting news, but it was easy for us to see that the staff knew how much she meant to us and treated her as if she were our child. Her condition was explained in detail along with the scan that proved conclusively what we were up against. We were allowed time to consider the limited options, spend time with her and say goodbye. It was terribly sad and distressing but was made easier by a caring and attentive staff. We thank each staff member for the care Lucy received and for the kindness shown to us. read more

Ted is an amazing vet, my family drives all the way out from Houston for him and his coworkers. His prices are great and his care is even better. He stays open late for his patients and is always just a phone call away. We tell all of our friends to go here. They've been taking care of my beloved family pets for over 10 years now. It's always great to see his Dad, the founder of the clinic, puttering around giving advice as well. read more
