Staff is incompetent and Dr Philips is a pathological liar. One example (of many) is lying about when she received test results from a lab, which was clearly proven when she forwarded the email from the lab. She also had the audacity to try to gaslight me when I relayed a conversation I had with her staff and she repeatedly insisted that the things I told her never happened. I asked the staff to run every test possible on all four of my dogs, then called back later and found out they hadn't included a heartworm test in the bloodwork we sent off, so I had to tell them to add that. 10 days later I noticed two of them had unhealthy stool and sent samples to the lab at A&M, where they all tested positive for hookworms -- so evidently they didn't do a fecal test either. I understand mistakes due to miscommunication or organizational error, but the staff was overtly unhelpful every time I called, and Helen told me blatant lies every time we talked. read more

Dr. Philips is the best veterinarian I've ever had. I just absolutely adore her and her staff. I trust her judgement so much that I drive an hour to get to her. Honestly I would drive 2 hours if I had to. She's extremely knowledgeable and compassionate and very reasonably priced. I wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else. I recommend her to anyone and everyone I can. I also appreciate the fact that she will come in on weekends for a fraction of the cost of an emergency vet. Dr.Phillips has saved 2 of our dogs. One was a rescue lab that we found out later after we took her in she had eaten some rat poison ( from the original finder of the dog )....was an accident. She saved that dog ! Another dogs esophagus had collapsed, and was constantly choking . We feared she would have to put down, but Dr.Phillips told us to feed her sitting upright. And a " male enhancement drug ' ( I thought was crazy ) , was prescribed. IT WORKED ! She's to the point, and knowledgable. Other people I haev met, have similar stories. She's awesome ! read more

They handled my dog very poorly. We wanted to Switch vets after such a poor experience and have had to ask over 5 times to have my dogs records transferred. I was told each time they would but still nothing has happening. They make it extremely hard to get your pet the help they need. read more

Great service from Dr. Philips. Had an emergency visit because of a suspected snake bite on my dog. Turned out to be wounds from barbed wire. A couple staples and some antibiotics and we were on our way, all with amazing service and a bill that was hundreds less than if I had taken him when we got home to Houston. read more

I honestly don't know where else to begin except this is the ONLY vet in the area that I am comfortable and happy to take my babies. Anytime we have had to see the vet, the staff here are absolutely kind, considerate and overwhelmingly comforting. When my cat was dying a few years ago, the vet was super comforting and accommodating just over the phone. The staff take so much care in acknowledging your pet in a way that you should expect vets to. The kindness and joy I experienced today taking my baby boy in for just shots and to ease my concerns is something that money can't buy. I will forever take my babies here. read more

It started off on a bad note when I walked into the vet and the five people working the front desk did not look up and acknowledge me until I had to speak up. I went here to take my dog to get neutered and they did not provide any discharge instructions. ONE day after the procedure I noticed that his cone was rubbing his neck raw. I called to ask what I should do and did not receive a call back until 3 hours later and all they said was to put a shirt around the cone collar. I went to a vet closer to home and turns out it was a hot spot where he had to get shaved and be put on antibiotics and steroids. I am SO glad I got a second opinion because a shirt around a cone would not help an infection. I also got him chipped during his procedure and I logged onto his account and found that there was missing contact information, a description of what my dog looks like, and they even put that he was not neutered when he got that procedure done that day. They told me they would fill out that information for me, but I am glad I went back to check because the chip is useless without that information. I emailed them for my dog's blood work and still have not received it. If you want quality care for your pet DO NOT take them here. read more

Dr. Helen literally saved my Boston's life 10 years ago. She restructured my puppy's shattered hip socket and nursed her back to health--a lengthy process which took time, patience, and a lot of love. I have an appointment today--a health check up on my (now aging) BT. And I'm expecting Dr. Philips to come in the examination room, greeting the dog in her "I'm so glad to see you" voice, then sitting down on the floor with her so she can receive the excited greetings that she ALWAYS gets from my dog! Needless to say, I have total trust in this woman, her abilities, and her guidance and decisions. Guess I should ask for an "I Love My Vet" bumper sticker ... Lastly, I must also mention that the staff has been always been courteous and helpful every single time I've been in. Many of them know me by name--and almost all of them know my dog's name ;-} --and have gone way beyond expectations to meet my needs, whether it be remembering what kind of dog food I buy or staying late so I can pick up dog meds. Everyone was really nice, beautiful facility, expert care, and great prices! I took my dog to have teeth pulled and cleaned. The vet I went to first said he needed many teeth pulled. Dr. Philips was able to take the time needed to see that only one tooth needed to be extracted and the rest just needed a good cleaning! Thanks for the great care! read more

Dr. Phillips is awesome. The front desk staff not so much, everytime I have called I get someone who acts like I am a bother. Just called to ask for pricing on flea medication and the lady reluctantly tells me the price and hangs up on me.
