I usually go with a standard cheeseburger to truly assess a new burger joint, but opted for the Handmade US Angus Beer and Mushroom Burger ($88) with American cheese and sautéed mushrooms and onions. The burger was cooked medium by default (without being asked) and juices started dripping out when I went for my first bite. The meat was flavorful and the American cheese reminded me of my childhood. The bun was slightly over toasted that made it less malleable around the burger, but it just made it a little messier. The bun also had a slight sweetness that surprisingly accompanied the burger well.
