Definitely the best grocery store in town. Fresh produce, more choice for organics, speedy…read morecheck-out, and a staff that is friendly and responsive. It's refreshing to go into a store where the employees actually know something, and have the authority to do things to deal with challenges on the spot. Deep discounts for gasoline at their gas pump, for frequent shoppers -- up to $1 per gallon off. That single thing has me choosing this store as often as possible, for everything that I need that they happen to carry. Kroger has a great app for using digital coupons, and creating an aisle-by-aisle shopping list. The shopping list isn't perfect, but it sure helps when they decide to *move* everything about every 5 years. Every store in the area does this -- I guess we just have to live with it. They try to help customers as much as possible during the transition, by posting new aisle maps for us to use. Or, you can search for the item in the Kroger app on your phone. Great store.

Why can't there be a ZERO Star Rating? Kroger's pricing policies are insane. Fine print that can't…read morebe read. Doubled prices if you don't buy five. And you'd better watch that cash register. Their schemes end there, changing what the prices were marked. I have spoken with many employees. They hate corporate's pricing scams as much as we do. Prices that are sometimes over 100% more than Walmart. Whoever determines their Circus Pricing policies should be terminated. It is a crooked game. We're all sick of it. Even those who work there. It has got to be embarrassing for employees. We're about to put Kroger out of business in Nacogdoches. Why would anyone who is paying attention to prices even step foot in that store? It's like Kroger is run by the Mob. You deserve bankruptcy.

This Kroger store is a trade-off. On one hand, it's smaller than most grocery stores in town so…read moreit's easier get around, but on the other hand, it's definitely got a few liabilities. There is not the same selection of brands or varieties within the same brand as the larger store. Produce & meat departments sometimes don't have items as advertised in the weekly newspaper insert. Some of the staff are not very knowledgeable about the products in their departments. What's really infuriating, however, is when Kroger sends coupons through the mail for products your loyalty card indicates you may wish to buy and when you try to purchase that item and use that coupon, you find the item's not even sold at the store!

Today was my first and last time visiting this location. I visited with my young daughter and…read moregrandmother whom is blind to aid her monthly grocery shopping. Everything was fine until we reached the frozen food section where she gets her TV dinners and was met by a girl named Cossandra, Cassandra who was putting away inventory. We heard her mumbling things as the space was tight but assumed she wasn't speaking to us. We continued shopping and she carried on putting away the food and breaking down boxes until she walked around before us and slammed one of then broken down into a cart that was full of boxes that she'd previously broken down. The box scratched my back and I said excuse me. She responded by saying, "Oh did I hit you?" I said, "Yes". She then said, "Oh baby I didn't hit you, you're fine. It was just air." I didn't respond but went to the manager to explain what happened. We then continued shopping and again all was fine until we got to the front and was met by a Hispanic girl and a guy dressed in red neck attire by the name of Addison who was in conversation with a customer whom was leaned over the belt with no groceries. They glared at us before breaking up their conversation and the girl started to check out the groceries. She scanned two groceries before Addison yelled she has two cases of water, giving me no chance to tell her and I can only assume because he thought we would steal them. I ignored and walked the basket down to the end of the checkout. My grandmother likes to hear what is going on while we shop so as I reassured her that the cashier got the water with a question to the cashier, Addison leaned over close to my ear and again yelled with stern eyes, "She got the water!" I continued to load our cart although his tone alarmed and scared my daughter. As we were finishing up, I noticed that he started punching the air in which my daughter was in the cart near his fist and this too frightened her. Addison shared a glance with the cashier and they begin to laugh. At this point I was trying to hurry to get my daughter and grandmother away from the angry Addison and get them to safety. Kroger do better
