I used to think about food constantly and now, I only think about it when I eat, cook, and see food. In the sessions, we start with a warmup/ active stretch, then we do weight training and/ or stability training, and then we active stretch again. When I am feeling very sore, she teaches me new stretches with the massage ball. My squats have gotten better and I can squat with more weight, she teaches me the correct form for all exercises, and I am learning how to turn on, isolate, and feel the muscles I am working on. Ling is understanding, tailors the program to you, quiet knowledge about the body and what to work on, funny, and compassionate. You won't find a better personal trainer and health coach! I pulled up a photo today of what I looked like before I started working out with her and I can definitely see the difference now, looking back. It was time for me to start a new program but I will never forget the lessons taught by Ling. If you want to save some money, pair up with a buddy. I had a great buddy and really enjoyed working out alongside her. I will only recommend Ling as a trainer. If cost is an issue, buddy up and limit the number of times you have sessions with her.

I'm quite petite and my experience with previous trainers is that they've never really put my size into account. Their recommendations for daily calorie intake seemed extreme and the required supplements were expensive and hard to keep up with. Wes on the other hand, accounted every element and calculated everything. He was able to make sense of his recommendations purely based on numbers and facts, which is why I decided to train with him. When I came to Wes in June 2019, I was already on my own fitness journey doing kickboxing and other cardio-based classes. However, as hard as I was training I wasn't physically where I wanted to be and with my wedding coming in November 2019 I had to tone FAST! Wes and I worked on a program that focused on toning my abdomen, back, and arms. By November 2019, I actually surpassed my goal and hit MANY PRs that I never thought possible. Aside from fitting into my dress, my proudest accomplishments were my push ups and pull ups. My max rep used to be about 5 push ups, and had never been able to do a pull up in my entire life. After training with Wes, I am proud to say I can do 20+ push ups and 4 pull ups among many other things! This is physically the strongest I have ever been in my entire life and I owe it all to Wes. So if you are looking for a trainer who will challenge you and push you to do that extra rep, call you out on your bs and encourage you when you're in doubt, then Wes is definitely the trainer for you! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I've always been somewhat active but never strong....Well, I not only feel stronger but my muscles are more toned and my running has also improved. Prior to FIT, I ran a 10k in college in 1:02 (~10-minute pace). Recently, I completed another 10k and finished in 50 minutes (~8-minute pace). The BIGGEST thing for me is that I've also been able to finish my first half and I'm excited to do more! Mike is truly the ace in your hand. He's the guy you want on your side and he genuinely cares about you. As an example, he helped me prepare for my race by running the coyote creek trail with me on a weekend (his day off). Aside from boot camp, I also come out to track intervals on Tuesday mornings and they're a great way to start the day and improve your mile-time. Whether you attend spinning, boot-camp, or TRX, Mike will challenge you and make it easy to commit to being healthy. He will provide constructive criticism and celebrate accomplishments. Every workout, he gets the best out of you and you will want to do the extra set and add the extra weight! I've been able to reach some of my fitness goals and I credit Mike and Alissa...so if you are in the market for a lifestyle change, definitely give FIT a shot!

The lessons learned through working out with Meli have been invaluable--I came in as someone who only did cardio, and now I'm confident with all types of exercises and heavy weight lifting. In addition to losing weight and toning my body, Meli helped me strengthen my weak ankles and improve my hip mobility until the clicking on my hips stopped. I learned things I did not expect--like when to implement dynamic stretches vs. static stretches and different types of movements to improve flexibility and balance. Meli takes pride in her work, provides motivation when you need it, and shares your joys like they are hers--she gets just as excited as you (or more) when a new muscle starts to peek through, your Dexa scan shows muscle growth and fat loss, and the inches keep trimming off your waist. I was on crutches for like 3 weeks and got off of it fairly quickly and began walking on 2 legs.
