Dumbfounded by the bad reviews. I have done business with Lambert for almost 4 years and have NEVER once had an issue with getting someone on the phone, getting a generic box, an incorrect or delayed order. I think some people just get impatient. This is a small company and they do business nationwide. They are always very responsive, never waited for than a day for an email or call back. I'm actually here to post a review for a recent issue out of their control where the USPS said my package was delivered and I never received it. Not only did Lambert get the whole situation sorted out in just a couple of hours, but did so in a way that was stress-free for me. I ordered a product online on Thursday afternoon. I paid an additional $25 for OVERNIGHT shipping. I received an email that my product was shipped and would be arriving on Monday. A full 5 days after I ordered it! I would have paid $6 for basic shipping if I wanted my product a week later. I sent customer service an email asking for a shipping refund and they are ignoring me. After my Shitzu was treated for endless ear infections which dumbfounded my veterinarian, my vet finally gave up and said, "You may want to try a product called Claro. We don't have it here." So, I did my research and found Claro available at Lambert Vet Supply. Claro does need a prescription. Lambert contacted my vet immediately and sent me the Claro within a matter of a few days. We rescued our dog, Houdini back in May of 2019. Upon rescuing him from deplorable conditions, we learned he was heartworm positive. We set out to get him the proper treatment so he could have a good doggo life. Part of this treatment involves keeping the dog contained and calm. Unfortunately for us, Houdini is NOT a calm dog. He is high strung, scared of everything, and after years of abuse, easily worked up. He ended up with life threatening complications due to his heartworm treatment and a continuously racing heart and ended up hospitalized multiple times. The last time, we knew he was a goner. The poor guy's heart was enlarged more than 3 times the normal size, his lungs were filled with fluid, and his O2 levels were dangerously low, at 57. The medication the vet needed to help combat this was horribly expensive, and even worse, not able to be found locally at the time. I cried as I scoured websites trying to find something, ANYTHING that could get us the medication he needed...and quickly. Lambert saved my dog's life. Not only did they carry what we needed, it was at a fraction of the cost I found anywhere else, and they could next day air it directly to my vet. I am thrilled and happy to announce it has been 4 months since Houdini's last near death experience. He is officially heartworm negative, his heart, while still enlarged, is much more in range with that of a normal heart, his lungs are free and clear. He loves to chew on bones, he loves getting pats on the head, he has learned to sit, and his tail wags freely and often. He is still scared of the world, but he is alive...and he is happy. And I owe a lot of that to the services Lambert provides. Houdini will ALWAYS be on heart medications now, and I will ALWAYS order it from Lambert. Flat out, this is the place to go if you need affordable pet medications. And the customer service is really awesome. They called me to let me know they were working to fill it as fast as possible, called to let me know when it shipped, and I also got an email from their customer service a few days later following up on if Houdini survived. 10/10 on a scale of 5. read more

I started using there vet supply services in 2017 and did not have any issues...until my most recent order. I am not sure if this is related to the company switching their software, however in the past my order was always shipped and received in a timely fashion to my post office box. I ordered my last shipment from them with a window of four weeks before my dog would need another pill. I made an error this time by ordering the wrong dosage, instead of choosing to refill his prescription. They called me the following day and corrected the issue for me, and advised that the order will be shipped out the following day since they are refilling a prescription. A week later, I received a call from Mary (believe that was her name). She mentioned that the shipping terminal was down and that it was unknown as to how long it would be down, but she wanted to alert me so that the I could make the decision to obtain his med's elsewhere if need be. I told her I would wait a few days as I was not in an immediate need. Close to another week passed, so I decided to check in. I spoke to Mary again and their shipping device was still down...a day or so later she called me to say that that my order has been shipped, and she provided me with a tracking number which is standard. A few days passed....no meds....I pulled up the tracking number and the delivery information was for FEDEX and the tracking read as delivered to front door.....my address is a PO Box. Longer story made short, Lambert switched their shipping services to Fedex, Fedex does not deliver to post office boxes. This should have been caught prior to shipping the refill to me. Fedex attempted to pull up the physical address somehow and the delivery driver, then delivered the package to the wrong address. Lambert attempted to give me a hard time initially. They had to wait until the driver attempted to retrieve the package per my conversation with them, but per my conversation with Fedex they should sent out another refill and file a claim with Fedex. They ended up shipping out another prescription to me and they also updated my address so that this will not occur again. read more

Negative stars. I believe the products they are selling is counterfeit because my dog suffered nerve damage after using one of their flea collars. Her leg started twitching uncontrollably and when I would try to reach out for it she tried to bite me. She would spin in order to try and get control of her leg to scratch herself. I was very hurt and angry and was about to booked a the thing smoking to their headquarters for hurting my baby. I don't appreciate that. You should be thanking god there is no lasting damage to my child. She would look at me with staring eyes as if she was saying why would I hurt her. You should be put out of business. read more

I have ordered online from Lamberts Vet Supply a few times now and they are wonderful. Not only are the prices great but the customer service is the best! I think the poor reviews here on Yelp must be from their competitors. The meds I received were the exact meds I originally purchased from my Vet (at a fraction of the vets price). Each time I have had to mail in the original prescription and each time I received an email with tracking (this time from Shelly) and because my vet will not do a prescription over fax, Shelly called me at home to let me know so I could mail one to her. NEVER again. To begin with they don't answer the phone. They call you back. I finally figured out the same lady probably is the only person answering the phone and taking orders. I have ordered maybe 4 times total but this is the last time. Granted, she's VERY nice but if you need something reasonably quickly, look elsewhere. I am Very disappointed with delivery of a important medication. I ordered at 12:30 on a Wednesday. The delivery charge was $11 to ship something weighing between 10 ounces to a pound. Now it's Saturday and a long holiday weekend. I won't see this medication until late on the following Tuesday. My mail and UPS arrive late afternoon to early evening. That is unacceptable service for the price. A 2 day USPS bubble envelope would be about half the price with delivery by Friday. I would advice you to reconsider LVS. read more

Placed my order 5/1/2017 order#LVS180109. on 5/5 I messaged them through their website no update on tracing# whats the deal. on 5/6 I get a message left on my machine they have no idea what happened will resend. on 5/8 I message them again though their website to cancel my order. on 5/9 I message them that i am still waiting for a refund for item not recieved. on 5/11 I finally get my full refund. So upset meanwhile my Macaw is delayed at least another 7-14 days for the correct baby hand feeding formula just because these people dropped the ball. Now I ordered through Amazon which NEVER fails. I placed an order with this company for the first and last time earlier in the month and after 4 days of my order sitting in 'processing' status I decided to call. I was told by the customer service rep that the order was in deed still being processed so I requested a cancellation since I couldn't wait another 3-4 days for it to hopefully be delivered. After confirmation that the order was cancelled, since it hadn't been picked, I placed my order with a different company and received my items within 2 days. I never received any information from the refund department as indicated by the customer service rep. Finally after about a week I received notification from PayPal that I received a partial refund. It took 2 additional emails, another call to customer service and a response to their 'how was your experience' survey to finally receive an email with highlighted text indicated that the $16 not refunded was for processing. With the national shut down, we needed puppy shots. I found Lambert via a google search. Ordering was super simple, but I had a question. I got a great rep on the phone who spent 10 minutes with me walking me through everything I would need and how to do the shots. She gave me product numbers and everything. Lambert then communicated with me about the order, all through the process. Our vet would have been $190/visit x 2. The shots arrived in less than 24 hours in a cooler. All in, for two sets of shots we were under $50, including overnight shipping. Highly recommend these folks! They pick up the phone and give you great service! read more

On their website it states that orders received before 11:00 AM CT will ship the same day. We ordered Monday night using 2 day delivery expecting order to be shipped Tuesday. Order was not shipped until Wednesday even though we paid for 2 day delivery, it was not received until the following Monday. When we contacted customer service requesting a refund for our shipping fees, they refused. Said they guaranteed nothing not even their products and that they will not be making any refunds even for lost packages. Why offer services that you don't guarantee and your customers lose money paying for services and supplies they don't receive. Big companies like this don't care about their customers because they have such a large internet presence that they don't care if they lose your business. First time to internet order from them. They had best price on Sentinel 6 month Yellow.. I called to verify they were real and had it in stock. Whoever answered wasn't overly pleasant, but did check to verify it was in stock. So I placed order on line and clicked "contact my vet for me." I was surprised with the $1 handling fee, but shipping was otherwise free. Placed order on a Tuesday afternoon, called our vet to verify they had approved the autofax sent to them by LVS on Thursday (they had received it on Tuesday), got an email from LVS on Thursday morning saying it had shipped, and it arrived via USPS on Friday (NE to TX) in a bubble envelope. That's pretty fast! Expiration date of Sentinel is 2019 - so is fresh stock. Note that their site says they ship only on Mon, Tues, and Wed so plan accordingly. I have a diabetic dog and began purchasing syringes from Lambert'a pharmacy almost a year ago. I just recently began purchasing my dog's insulin from them---even with the shipping required for a refrigerated product, the cost is $20 cheaper per vial than my veterinarian's price. Seems like yelp removed my review! Your on-line sales ad shows Comfortis in the manufactures box. The Comfortis that arrived was in a generic box and there is no mention of this in the ad. You need to make customer's aware of this issue before they order! I'm not sure that this is the real thing! Update 6/20/2017 My dog has taken two Comfortis pills so far (1 pill on the first of each month). The pill seems to only work for around two weeks then we are fighting fleas again. I called them countless times only to find out that they mistakenly and admittedly sent the product to the wrong address...even though they had my correct address on file. I don't understand the bad reviews. I switched to Lambert after using Alli Vet for two years. Their (Alli Vet's) customer service is horrible - you have a really hard time actually getting to anyone to speak to. So I searched for a new company and found Lambert Vet Supply. An actual human answers the phone! I didn't have to wait on hold, be disconnected after twenty minutes, then repeat the process twice. The woman who usually takes my calls is not bubbley, but she's very professional, helpful, and polite. On more than one occasion she has CALLED ME BACK! to confirm an order, an item is in stock, or to answer a question. The prices are great. They have been very up front about what's involved when I order something (insulin) that requires overnight shipping and what happens when I have to return something because I ordered the wrong product (which I've done twice). The woman in returns is friendly, helpful, and clear about what happens when you return a product. She even emailed me their policy information. When my vet's office has taken longer than expected to fax them a prescription, they (Lambert) have emailed me. I'm sure at some point human error on their part will result in a screw up. However, based on my experience with them so far, I find it hard to imagine they would do take a 180-degree approach to the manner in which they do business. I have eleven rescue cats. I order sub-q fluids, IV lines, needles, insulin, anti-nausea meds, Prosac, and allergy meds monthly. The products have been perfect, the delivery has been perfect, the return process has been perfect, the customer service has been perfect. I'd say ignore the bitchy "I know my vet faxed them the order" and "they shipped it to the wrong address" reviews and give this company a try. I'm sure they've made mistakes, but honestly, in my experience when a mistake has been made (so far, mine, twice) they take your call and help fix the problem. The prices are great, prescriptions really add up and some of the medications I have to order every month are almost half the price as all the other online stores. I also really appreciate their customer service and receiving actual emails from actual people, especially when you are dealing with time sensitive medications and correspondence with veterinarians. Absolutely horrible. They were the only company that had the medication I needed for my kitten. The representative took my order on the phone, took all of my information including my credit card for express shipping and when the day came for my kittens medication to arrive, it just didn't happen. I called the company to figure out what was going on and it turned out that the order was never placed (so 4 days later) and they could not find me in their system. Instead of trying to figure out a solution to my emergency, the new representative was rude and refused to understand my frustration. She didn't want to help me. I would highly suggest you come prepared in order to deal with this company. They'll probably try to "verify" this comment to see if I was a customer, but that won't work out because they failed me miserably and didn't take responsibility for it. read more

At first I thought the price was too good to be true, but then felt it was legit when I saw they are a Midwestern company. Then I was nervous about getting it quickly especially since they had to contact the vet for the prescription. I was very impressed and happy when the ordered shipped the same day I placed it! The vet authorized heartworm prevention tablets but it wasn't on file.
