They want the very best experience for the animals they are responsible for finding good homes for. Unfortunately humans lie and deceive sometimes. HUA has had experience with that. My 2 dogs have each been through a lot before they were rescued. I had to put up a 6 foot fence to adopt and keep them safe. They are happy, safe , spoiled and loved and have been with me for several years. JC is such a good guard dog! Quinccy has c only one eye and is deaf (due to bad breading). They are my family. We had ALL -- mothers and kittens -- spayed, neutered and given all shots plus vet care, which was a VERY substantial expense. I recently I appealed (three times) to HUA to help us find homes for four remaining cats, to save them from the coyotes that roam the neighborhood. I was told in NO uncertain terms that they would NOT accept cats. That, despite their website advertsing their cats for adoption, and their professed no-kill policy. I was trying to save these cats from death by coyote, but nothing I said, nor the years of donations, made any difference. I am more than angry. Ifeel used and betrayed. It's a shame that HUA's "humanity" apparently can be turned on and off like the hot water.

My brother has adopted three cats from them in the last year and they remember all three cats vividly! They even remember my brother too, exchanging stories with my mom about him and the cats, cooing over cute pictures of his current cat and they gave us a tour of their cat enclosures. All the enclosures are large and have seats for visitors and about five or so cats. Some cats are shy, some are ultra-friendly, but they all need lots of lovin' and are totally happy with any attention they can get. Please help these poor little kitties stay socialized and maybe even bring home a new best friend!

Also deer in the woods and creek around the property. I had the whole place to myself, and it was so peaceful. There is a camp toilet, so don't expect a glamping experience there. It does the job. Why on Earth would I want to adopt another animal from this facility given the gross negligence? What respectable animal shelter doesn't confirm/test for these kinds of issues prior to putting an animal up for adoption? I'd also like to add that the front desk staff (the welcome desk, not the folks in the back - they are very friendly) are incredibly rude. Consistently every time I've come in here, the social skills and public service has been horrific. I will no longer be adopting pets from this facility. They set the animals up for failure.

From the beginning they responded to all of my questions very quickly. The facility was nice with clean beds, towels, bowls, and kennels. I opted to leave their food which they were ok with. They sent pictures daily and gave me updates daily (sometimes more when I asked questions). I thought their price was very reasonable for 3 dogs and was happy to see they offered a military discount. I will definitely recommend and use the facility for boarding again. I added photos of my pups to make you smile
