We were in a situation where adoption from a humane society or rescue was not panning out (we looked for over a year for the type of dog we needed for our family needs) so we decided to research breeders and puppy adoptions. On a whim we decided to check out the pet doctor as we personally knew a couple of people who knew some of the employees. When you first walk in it does have the feel of the old pet stores you used to see in malls in the 90s with the glass wall and kennels lined against the wall behind the glass with puppies barking and playing, vying for attention from visitors. We spoke to one of be owners upon our arrival and explained our needs. She showed us the last remaining puppy of a recent litter and he was well socialized and healthy. She also explained her experiences with the breed and showed us photos of her own dog of the same breed. She explained the warranty of health and life guarantee. As long as you vet your animal everything seems as expected for purchasing a puppy. We picked him up later in the day as we had other shopping to do around town. Another lady helped us upon pickup and was also friendly and helpful. She provided us with some free food (we also purchased some puppy food) and rubbed some toys we'd purchased on his kennel mate so he would have a familiar scent in his new home. We took him home with validation of health and shot records and he took took to our family immediately. He's potty training well and appears to be in perfect health. He even slept through his first night with minimal whining. The puppies here are not cheap, but not out of line from what people ask on Facebook swap pages or regional newspaper classified ads. Do your research on breeds and average sale prices before making a decision. A puppy of any breed or cost is an investment and you have to be prepared to care for them like a child. We would definitely recommend Pet Doctor to anyone looking for a new puppy for their family.

Belmont has been my vet since 2021. They have been so helpful with everything my pets have needed…read more I have a boy cat (11 y/o) and a girl cat (6 y/o). My boy cat deals with urinary crystals, and has had an all of his emergency surgeries through Belmont. They are great at going through every part of the surgery, as well as going through pricing with what's necessary vs not necessary but can be done if I would like. They give me a call 2 times a day before and after surgery to give me updates. Dr. Holz has been amazing to work with. My boy cat is generally very nervous around vets, but he loves her. She is great at giving different options for treatment. After my boy cat's 5th surgery, she recommended anxiety meds, and he has had no relapses since (). The receptionists are also amazing with customer service. I have called with small questions, and they never seem irritated or too busy to answer them. All the staff including the vet techs, vets, and front desk are extremely kind and welcoming. I would recommend this vet to everyone.
