I asked if she was available for the following appointment and was told she didn't work there any longer. The options I had for therapy during the times I needed were now once a week at best. I've canceled my appointments and will be getting therapy elsewhere.

I haven't been here in a little while (around a year or 2 ago), but thought I would share my experience because I really liked this place. I went here when I was living in Charlottesville, and had an awesome experience with the two physical therapists I had worked with. I am not sure if she is still there, but Hannah was amazing. She was so kind and helpful, and gave great advice. I have worked with a number of pts before from different places, and she is definitely one of my favorites, if not my favorite, and I couldn't recommend her more. I am also not sure if he is still there, but I have worked with Jeff as well, and he is very good too. He gave me more functional exercises, which I liked, and I thought I made good progress with him. I really liked how the physical therapists tried to work with their patients with their exercises for the full hour. This didn't happen all the time, but a good amount of the time, which seems rare in comparison to other pt places I have been to, where the pt tends to hand their patients off to an assistant to do the exercises after the first 30 minutes. The pts were great, but the front staff was very personable as well. If I was still in Charlottesville, I would definitely come back here for my physical therapy needs.

They prefer new patients access their website and obtain paperwork so it can be filled out ahead of time. When I got there, I just had to fill out one more document, and Seibert was ready to see me. No waiting. My initial appointment was thorough, and I found Seibert to be very professional and knowledgeable. He took his time and explained everything well. Spoke at a moderate pace... sometimes medical personnel can just come off as very rushed. He wasn't that way at all. No complaints! Now if I can only do my "homework" as assigned...

Instead it was just the very bare minimum "here are standard exercises to do, please do them while I watch and do my notes for the session." When I voiced my concerns to the clinic director I was egregiously gaslit, patronized, and flat out given erroneous information, and told exercises were the only thing warranted at this stage in my recovery. Thankfully I found a great PT elsewhere who knew I could do my exercises on my own time, and devoted all of our time together to muscle activation, movement drills, stretching, myofascial release, massage, and other healing modalities. Exercises were individualized and tailored for my specific needs - I received none of this kind of care at Move Better. I urge anyone looking for proactive, individualized physical therapy to look elsewhere than Move Better.
