I needed surgery to repair it. The woman's insurance company was threatening to sue me and harassing me multiple times a day to try to get me to dismiss the injuries as false. I also had a concussion, couldn't hear out of my left ear for a few months, had Bell's palsy, shingles and 3 bulging discs in my neck. I told Dr. Grant I thought I was going to have to get a lawyer to get Geico to stop harassing me, and he accused me of being the problem. fine, whatever, have your opinion. something else he did disgusts me. He told me and 2 other family members he released an entrapped tendon and repaired my rotator cuff, but in my surgical notes he changed that. luckily for me he wrote it on my post op note when leaving the hospital in his handwritten statement. it's the only up reason my medical costs were covered. what a jerk! do better Dr. grant! thank god I had a lawyer because my doctor didn't care what happened to me. that's clear. his surgery skills were fine, however.

They were friendly, extremely helpful and very thorough and clear about getting information and conveying treatment options. I ended up getting surgery on my knee. It was done quickly and well and my follow up care was excellent. I could not be happier with the care I received from everyone in the office. The whole operation is very patient-centered and they are very accommodating about everything from appt. times to extra attention when a complication arises . The personal attention is very genuine and they really listened to what I wanted.

So several years ago Dr Chang fitted me for custom orthotics. He did it by putting my feet in the…read moreair and molding stuff to my feet - so creating the ground plane with his eyes not from any actual measuring or other equipment. I wore them (almost $300) for a year. At the end of the year I had terrible tendonitis in my left leg. I then spent a bunch of money trying to solve it, and the opinion of 2 docs at Uva, and 2 physical therapists was that the left orthotic made my foot roll out. I emailed and called Blue Ridge to discuss this, and at least get my money back. I never heard back from anyone. But beyond the money, I suffered a great deal of pain as a result of this improperly fitted orthotic and got no response at all. I finally got it solved by going to Rodney Madigan at Move Better PT. He looked at these orthotics and saw the issues. He worked with me which helped and sold me some off the shelf orthotics that addressed the supination in my right foot and solved the left leg issues. To me this is unbelievable. The worst service/medical experience of my life and I'm 63. Stay away!!!!

I went to see Dr. Murray (recommended by a PA as 'the best') for a Morton's neuroma in my foot. I…read morewas told my high arches has caused it, and a map for an orthotic was made, using an ipad to scat the sole of my foot. I had told Dr. Murray that I had had one prior steroid injection, which worsened the pain, and that I was not responsive to lidocaine as a numbing agent. I agreed to receive one injection from him, as the orthotics would take 2 weeks to be made and he assured me the prior doctor had 'done it wrong.' This is the most unbelievable pain I have ever had- And I have been treated for cancer, had many biopsies, and so on. I hopped out on one foot, and did not regain full weight bearing for a week. The pain at that point (post-injection) encompassed the outer third of my foot- and that has not changed since that time. I wore the orthotics for 2 months, came back, said it was no better, wore them for another 3 months- no better- arches more comfortable, but neuroma worse. This was the LAST visit I will ever make to this place. I was told that 1) I was wrong because 'steroids always relieve pain' so I could not, therefore, have pain. 2) He had NOTHING else to offer- no cryo freezing, no surgery, no alcohol injection- NOTHING. 3) I repeatedly asked if there was anything other than the steroid/lidocaine injection, and he got angry and dismissive, and told me that 'NO, This is all there is. If you change your mind, come back and I will give you another injection.' He had been rude and dismissive on the first post-injection visit, but I thought, 'well, everyone has an off day now and then.' but the next, and last, visit was even worse because the attitude was the same, and no viable treatment options were presented. I feel I wasted time and money here, and, in going here, allowed the neuroma to essentially be "untreated" for the better part of a year, as nothing he did helped it.

I honestly don't think I'd be where I am today without Rodney and the great team at Move Better. Not that the work is easy or that the Therapists don't keep you challenged, but it really feels like a team effort. The fact that almost every week I'm there I see someone else I know walking in the door speaks volumes about the quality of the work they do and the real reputation of the business. My physical therapist never even looked at my injury site in my two visits, let alone examined,…read moretouchEd, felt, or tested my movements or strength. Instead it was just the very bare minimum "here are standard exercises to do, please do them while I watch and do my notes for the session." When I voiced my concerns to the clinic director I was egregiously gaslit, patronized, and flat out given erroneous information, and told exercises were the only thing warranted at this stage in my recovery. Thankfully I found a great PT elsewhere who knew I could do my exercises on my own time, and devoted all of our time together to muscle activation, movement drills, stretching, myofascial release, massage, and other healing modalities. Exercises were individualized and tailored for my specific needs - I received none of this kind of care at Move Better. I urge anyone looking for proactive, individualized physical therapy to look elsewhere than Move Better.
