On my first visit, after a thorough intake, he performed a minimal yet targeted adjustment. When I asked why he manipulated less than other chiros, he simply said, "You have a healthy spine, we just have to help it help itself." He set me up to come back in just a few more times over the following weeks before transferring to an "as needed" basis; not an intense adjustment package of multiple adjustments per week for months like the one of the other chiropractors I saw, who shall remain nameless. After seeing probably a half dozen different chirps in the last 5 years, Dr. Huffman is my favorite. He won't try to sell you on a "3 appts a week" plan like some of those other guys, but instead he'll diagnose the problem, provide excellent in-office adjustments, and give you at-home therapy recommendations to help in between sessions. After about 7 sessions over 2 months, he told me that I could just come in as-needed, because he'd already noticed a lot of improvement. I used to sit at a desk all day, and my lower back has been giving me problems for years. I recently moved to San Diego, and I work from home, so now I sit on a fitness orb to help build my core and back muscles. I still do the daily stretches that he recommended, and have even reached out to him to send me recommendation letters and general tips. She employs multiple different adjustment techniques, which means she can adapt her treatments to each individual's concerns and comfort level.
