Most recently I had the new digital scanning technology to image a tooth that needed a touchup. The tech was visibly frustrated with the difficulty of scanning my teeth because of my gum recession and exclaimed loudly in front of a room of juvenile patients, their parents, and staff as the seats are lined up with no privacy "Ugh It's your teeth!" I was completely humiliated about a health condition that has caused me severe depression and significant anxiety. Staff are insensitive to adult dental conditions.

I decided to get a second opinion from two other dentists, and both confirmed that I have zero cavities. Because of this experience, I felt uncomfortable with the level of care and professionalism. Wait, what? I had a deep pocket at the gum of the tooth, my tooth was strong, not broken and not loose. They made me believe this was my only option and proceeded to explain that an implant would be the way to go since a bridge wouldn't work due to the root issue. The implant procedure would be 8-9 months and I would have a flipper during that time. It was going to cost me $9k for one tooth!!! Can you imagine the anxiety and stress this caused? I decided to get a second opinion. I researched best periodontist in San Diego and after his thorough examination and panoramic X-rays he was shocked and dumbfounded as to why Santee Smiles periodontist wanted to pull the tooth, he saw no bone loss or root issue. All I needed was a minor gum surgery called Guided Tissue Regeneration that costs $1500 (claim to insurance) and get this, once he was done with the procedure he confirmed no bone loss or root issue!!! Be very careful to believe their treatment plan and get a second opinion. I am changing dentists, don't even want my teeth cleaned here, it always costs me something extra... just a money grab.

I came here for a molar extraction, and it was one of the worst dental experiences I've ever had…read more After the procedure, I ended up in the ER from the intense pain. I had reached out to the office multiple times for help, no response. Not a call, not an email. Nothing. They charged me upfront for a temporary partial that was never adjusted or fitted properly to my mouth. I tried to make it work for days, but it was so bad I eventually just threw it in the trash. That's money wasted. They also charged me for a CT scan that, over two months later, I still haven't received. This isn't about whether the dentist is skilled. I don't doubt Dr. Faris or Dr. Alhamdi's education. The real issue is the complete lack of care, communication, and follow-up from the front office. I even emailed them letting them know I'd be contacting the State Dental Board, and guess what? Still no reply. I high doubt Bianca forward my concerns to either Dr. They told me I needed root canals, crowns, and fillings, but I'm still sitting here two months later, in pain and completely in the dark. I'm genuinely concerned for my health and my teeth. Do better please. No one deserves these.
