Tasty donut but JESUS getting hit with a $6.50 bill for 2 donuts had me immediately regretting my decision. Definitely made me miss Texas prices for donuts which are considerably less. You could literally walk across the street to King Soopers and get one for half the price. The staff were decently, friendly, but not super happy. The space itself is also a bit outdated with a distinctively 90s feel. They tried to upsell on coffee or lattes, but wasn't really looking for that. read more

Ahhhh yeah, the classic nostalgia of donuts in the morning since I was a wee little goblin. It felt good returning to a Lamar's after all these years. Got a good half dozen, all very fresh and warm. The woman who served me was clearly not prepared for mornings, but a good humor she had made it all well and good. Just a shame the place it a little condensed for seating. Umm yum!! So many awesome donut choices it's hard to pick! Here's some advice: buy them all! Some fun flavors like apple spice, blueberry and cherry, too! Fresh and oh so delicious! We ordered some lattes as well. Almond milk was the only milk substitution so I went with that. This latte was so good! Not only was the food/drink so good, the staff was super friendly! I've heard people raving about LaMar's Donuts so last week I decided to try some. Now do you ever, the morning after a few cocktails, have the hangover where you're not like sick but you just feel kind of blue? These happen to me occasionally and usually my solution is donuts lol. So don't judge me that I had these delivered lol. I decided to only get 4 to avoid the temptation to eat like a dozen donuts. Being the cake loving donut lady that I am I tried a cinnamon sugar and a chocolate sprinkle. Both were good, not dry and a perfect cake consistency. Also tried a maple raised as that was my favorite go to donut all through childhood so it still holds a special place in my heart. Solid. Fluffy interior and tasty maple frosting. And last but not least a raspberry filled Berliner? Is that what's it's called? I forget, this was good, but I feel just me personally for a jam filled donut I don't necessarily need the Icing. Well...it's January 12th again and time to get my daughters favorite donuts for her birthday. I walk into the store at 6AM and I get worried that I don't see any "cherry glazed donuts with sprinkles", I start to panic and suddenly from the back a young lady walks out and asks me how she can help me. Who was this young lady...none other than the amazingly helpful and cheery Sydney! I explain what I was looking for and she said....NO PROBLEM, WE'LL MAKE THEM FOR YOU IN A SEC! Would rather go to Winchells Thought this would be a better chain in this area, so I've been looking forward to trying it. Paid $5 plus generous tip for a simple long John chocolate doughnut. Frosting and doughnut were not as good as Winchells, and it was much more expensive. They did seem to have more unique flavors here, like a candy bar topping. But since doughnuts are sweet as is, I didn't see the need to try it. Had a small sample size so likely not representative of everything here, but not likely to keep trying this place. Also it was around 6am when I got there and the open sign was not on, so I almost turned around thinking they were closed. I told the ladies at the front that the sign was off, and even an hour later they didn't take the time to turn it on. I found that strange. If the sign wasn't working or something you would think they would have said that to me. So it felt like they didn't really care to lose customers. read more

They make some really great donuts, and when you are craving them they won't let you down. I ordered them ahead of time, but since they were so busy you might as well just order when you get there. The donuts seem like the prices have gone up, but it is a great treat when you don't crave them all the time. We will come back for special occasions and when we are craving it. read more

This review isn't about the donuts; they are excellent which is why I gave 2 stars instead of 1. This is about the employees at the Westminster location. I first learned of Lamars at their Englewood location. I've also been to the location in Highlands Ranch. The people were friendly and the donuts were great. We moved to Westminster, and I was thrilled to find one close to my house. My family and I have been there several times since our move. On all but two of ten or more visits, the staff was friendly enough. However there are a few of them that are downright rude, and one (today, 04.11.21) that is particularly nasty. I've not been to a business with this many rude and awful people in a very long time. At this point, I am done with Lamars. I will never frequent another one, regardless of location and will have to look for another donut place. If you don't mind being treated less than human by your "betters" and like a piece of garbage, then by all means, the donuts are good if you can tolerate thee behavior. read more

Holy Moly. The holy grail of donuts is here. The gap between cakey(dunkin) to squishy(KrispyKreme) has been found. 1 dozen donuts, each of them the size of texas, is soft and cakey. Got a nice doughy stretch and at the same time, robust cakey textures. I love it! Their seasonal special Pumpkin Spice Donut is on the shelves now and is perfect. I love Lamar's and was so excited to find out this place was right down the street after moving. Even better that they were open during the stay at home orders. I ordered about two dozen donuts for pick up and they had them ready when I got in. The staff was very friendly but the donuts were not up to par with the consistency I usually experience at this chain. The donuts were stale, even the icing was falling off which shouldn't happen. I had ordered and picked up the donuts before noon. So it means they were likely old. I signed up for the card, but I honestly don't think I'll be using it anytime. It might have just been a fluke given the circumstances but a very disappointing experience. read more

I love Lamar's donuts. We have them at work almost every week. Yesterday (Saturday) my kids wanted donuts after lunch, so we drove 15 miles to Lamars at 2pm. They close at 6, so I knew we would be good. We walked in to 2 donuts in the entire place. The racks were empty, and the kid behind the counter just laughed. Went to get donuts from this La'Mars donut store this morning and encountered the absolute worst service ever. The server was being rude, impatient, and had a bad attitude. I asked her if she could take it down a notch as I'm just here to select some donuts but she kept on going. I left the store and made a promise that I would never, "EVER" go to a La'Mars donut store again. I want to give no stars but 1 is the lowest it will allow. Went in today Wednesday November 24th 2021 Mask mandate went into effect today and half the people in there were not wearing a mask. When I asked the lady working behind the counter asking, arn't people supposed to wear a mask? she responded by shrugging her shoulders and said "oh well" This is a county mandate and if Lamar's can't follow the law then they will lose my business. I understand that does not make a difference, I only hope others see this and avoid it since they are not following the county mandate. read more
