On July 4, 2022, while returning home, I was struck by a car in a hit-and-run accident that left me with a spinal injury. As I began searching for legal help, friends recommended the O'Connell and Aronowitz firm to me. They said this law firm was the finest in upstate New York. After working with Mr. Coffey and his team, I wholeheartedly agree. I am well aware that Mr. Coffey is a highly accomplished attorney, and I have no doubt that my case was not among the big or high-profile cases he was handling. Yet Mr. Coffey gave my case -- and me personally -- his full attention. From the very beginning and throughout the entire process, I felt respected, safe, optimistic, and confident that the situation was under control. The outcome of the case exceeded all my expectations. I was deeply moved by the level of effort and care Mr. Coffey and his team invested on my behalf. For me, an immigrant to the United States from Russia, this experience encapsulated the very spirit of the American justice system. In my view, Mr. Coffey is an exceptional professional who combines extraordinary legal expertise with the highest ethical standards and genuine kindness. I am confident that anyone seeking legal counsel would be fortunate to have his assistance.

They do their job, and they will be quick to tell you that they did it. But in terms of compassion…read moreand understanding to an individuals situation? No, I can't say they do that. I hired this firm after a domestic dispute in 2021 and I hired them because I was told that they were top rated for both the LGBTQ community and in DV. They post this on their website, and they also campaign for local organizations like the Pride Center and YWCA, so I'm going to assume here that they do this, because.... Well how could they treat someone a certain way, when they give back so much?!?!? I imagine, that they are compassionate, as long as you have an exuberant amount of money to pay them, and can keep the flow of money coming, because its all they care about. I was hesitant to retain and I should have followed my gut. While Kayla did her "job" she sent some emails and filled out a separation document (like the ones you normally see in a divorce), it was the lack of compassion and care. She made me feel like crap on more than one occasion. I don't feel like she listened to my concerns, in fact she argued with me and would tell me how I was wrong (kind of like my marriage). When I would explain how her words and actions were making me FEEL, I was told to get a therapist. When my husband doesn't exercise visitation or pay towards his children, I'm still then told by them that I need to pay them over $5,000.00 and should just take out a personal loan. When an individual is going through a divorce, its hard enough. When theres kids, its another layer, when there is abuse, its ANOTHER added layer and divorce attorneys know this, in fact, they are the experts in it. I really feel as though this firm charges an insane amount of money to do as little work as possible and by that I mean, they will do the basics, and then tell you to be grateful. Find another firm. Also I'm going to note here that I fully anticipate this review either being deleted by them or them replying saying how I'm just a dissatisfied client who is upset I didn't get my way. You're the reviewer, so you decide.

I was born disabled but he doesn't have time to do a full consult for free he said on the phone despite him assuring me via email that he would. He's supposed to be the knowledgeable professional. I was supposed to have a free consult. I should add - I called 4 minutes after our appointment was supposed to start and he 'stepped out of the office' for him to call back about 17 minutes after the meeting was supposed to start while I sat with major anxiety. So if I had gone in person, he wouldn't have even been there. Then, he didn't even listen to my case!! Said something about me wanting a case from 10,000 feet high? No dude, I was born disabled and have been fighting this on my own since 2009 and was referred to this abysmal agency. If I could give ZERO stars I would. They should specify that they only want easy imminent physical disabilities, else they have no time or care. I have it all recorded if anyone wants to listen! and then to boot, he sent a reply email that was worse than his phone call. I have pictures of those too ... Saul has better energy than this guy.
