I have gotten a facial once before from somebody else and they left me with scars I still have to this day...but Cynthia is so careful I would trust her with anything! I always walk into her spa a frazzled, stressed out brick of tension and leave as a blissful puddle of tranquility each and every time. Her space is so inviting (picture a dark room with candlelight and pleasant aromatherapy scents). The massage table feels like a cotton cloud with heat underneath. So incredibly comfortable. Her hands work absolute magic. She is a tiny person, but her hands are strong and she knows exactly where to work out all the kinks. She has a magic power where she can feel the nasty spots and work it out. Lord, it was amazing. She was very gentle but very effective. I'm 8 months pregnant, and if you've ever been in this position, you know it's uncomfortable. Here, I was more relaxed than I've been in a while. I was transported to the deeply relaxed hypnotic state. I didn't need to shift my weight, I didn't need to keep trying to find a comfortable position, I just immediately found it and zoned out. It was incredibly blissful. After it was done, I got that super drunk feeling you get after a good massage. The relaxation was very powerful. I took a long time getting out because I was trying not to fall over, lol. I noticed that the horrible tingling feeling in my legs before I went in there was gone, as well as a headache I had been tolerating for a couple days. Yep, she removed the pain with her magic. I know how to exercise in a way that works for more sensitive bodies BUT, with structural issues in my body, I still need some extra support. I was feeling 3/10 this morning and afterwards Felt 9.5/10! Good enough to run which has been feeling harder for me lately. Gloria talks with you about your body, what you do/dont do, really aims to get to the root. She explains that deep tissue isn't supposed to be as hard as possible but what needs to happen to truly relax the muscle tissue. It's a combination of deep pressure but also whatever other magic she works to get the job done. Highly recommend and I'll be coming back regularly to keep my active body feeling good and able to stay active! This was the missing piece I needed because I already work on all the movement, strength, mobility, emotional/stress release/spiritual thru mindfulness, etc, but sometimes we just need this extra targeted tissue release. It gets so bad I can't even move. My husband researched and looked at many reviews and for Xmas (2 days ago) gifted me a massage with Gloria. He and I were both nervous trying a new massage therapist, as my pain is pretty bad and most massage therapist can't even begin to get to the root of the problem. But Gloria did just that! After an amazing 1 1/2 hour massage, I walked out without pain!! I was shocked. She pinpointed the root cause, explained the issues and gave me advice on how to help myself on my own.
