I am looking for a gas station when I'm on my way to camping with my truck and trailer behind. Anyone with experience with trailers will understand that we can not fill up our gas tank at all the gas stations randomly pop up on the road. But this Shell gas station in Lakeville is a perfect setup for me. Super easy in and out with lots of room in between each pump. The price is the same as all the gas stations in California. High, very high! But this is not their fault! The gas station is very clean. I didn't see any pumps are out of service. The pump I used was loaded with paper for receipt printing. My husband put $85 of gas in the tank. The two ladies working there could barely speak English. One wouldn't talk to him and the other was cleaning one restroom and wouldn't let him use the other one. The only thing she would say is squirt squirt clean clean. It was 11:30 in the morning. What a joke! I got gas paid for a car wash and it wouldn't give me the receipt. Says I have to get it from the clerk. Well the clerk went somewhere locked all the doors and I have been trying to call the local phone number and it says they're not accepting a call from my number. I came here despite my awful experience a few months ago because I needed to fill up on gas and I needed some quick cash. I normally go for the Chevron across the street because I just like Chevron better and their service doesn't suck ass. But I needed cash-back (which Chevron doesn't have) and I've gotten it at this station before. So up to the counter I went with a Vitamin Water and requested debit and cash back. The guy looked at me blankly before responding and telling me that they don't do cash back. "Since when?" I asked, clearly annoyed. He asked the guy working with him, who turned to me and said (with far too much attitude): "Since forever. We haven't done cash back in AGES." Car wash: in this design, your car remains stationary, with the machinery mounted on rails, moving back-and-forth multiple times. The six dollar express wash worked well on my Prius. Drive very very slowly coming out to get a good dry. Short gas pump hoses mean you need to park along the side where your fuel tank is but it's a Shell station with competing gas prices. So... not only is this a great and cheap place to wash your car while getting competitively rated gasoline.... It has CLEAN BATHROOMS. I know, I know... It's a gas station right? Yes. And it was a last resort to use the bathroom. It was either pee my pants or use their bathroom. So since I hate urine on my skin, I chose to use a gas station bathroom and it was SOOOOO CLEAN!!! Way cleaner than any boyfriend's bathroom (and I've dated some metro men). So I automatically love them even more. Whoever said a way to a woman's heart was through diamonds? I have purchased gas here for many, many years. For the first time, I needed air in my tire and found that they charge $1.50 for AIR!! a quarter would be bad, but this is unbelievable. Not sure how much air I would get for that amount! The water is the same price. The Chevron across the street doesn't charge for either. The kid working here is all alone and doesnt fully understand english. Theres a line out the door because of it, and Im watching each customer have a difficult time communicating with him because hes all alone and doesnt fully understand simple english. The guy kept asking for a "monopoly" lotto ticket which was right there visible, and the kid repeatedly could not comprehend what the word "monopoly" was. Soupy water for your wind shield, plenty of paper towels and the location feels clean. There's an indoor mini mart and the hour are great. It's a great location to stop at night if you are driving alone. It's close to the freeway and they have a car wash. read more

Was just there again today. The transactions take way too long. Delay after scanning card then asks for zip code. Another delay before authorizing. After you are done pumping, it takes a while to ask if you want a car wash. Then it tells you you could have saved some change if you had a Shell Mastercard. Finally, it asks if you want a receipt. And even takes a while to print the receipt. Prices are never low although Chevron across street was about 6 cents more per gal. The place is usually crowded. I avoid it but thought I'd give it a try after my review just-in-case my last experience was an anomaly. read more

Car Wash is Terrible! Having used this car wash for many years it is now worth crossing the street to use real car wash facility. Here at Shell shorter cycles now which leaves dirt and grime still on vehicle. Don't waste your cash at this car wash! read more
