6-Owners friendly and helpful 5-Property Maintenance -…read moregrass cut, no trash, clean. 5-Pool. Small but clean. 6-Boat Slip. Easy access. Swim dock. Electric and lights worked. Clean. 5-Cabin. AC worked, TV worked, shower had warm water, oven and microwave worked. Everything inside was likely from 70s except the flooring. 1-access road to boat slip from cabin. Very steep road. Recommend a truck or jeep. 0-boat ramp and road to boat ramp. It's a long winding road, some places were a 1 to 1 grade, at most its 10 to 12 ft wide, boulders, dried mud, and loose gravel. To make matters worse it's one way. I can't imagine trying to pull over in a ditch or trying to back up if another truck pulling a trailer was going the opposite direction. The boat ramp was 90 degrees to the road. There is not a courtesy dock at the ramp. It was super stressful getting the boat in and out of the water. *The nearest grocery store or restaurant was probably 30-40 min drive oneway. *I would recommend staying on the Southside, near Bull Shoals. There are options for excursions, food, supplies, ramps at the two main marinas are easy, lots of slips, you also have access to the river downstream of the dam. *Sister Creek. Great spot for groups, couples, and families. Just recommend that someone in your party has a 4x4 and your fully stocked with food and drink. The primary reason, I would avoid it, is due to the road to the boat ramp. Which is outside of the owner's control.

You get what you pay for …read more.. First, we felt like trespassers on an old couples back porch trying to check in being attacked by dogs. (They were friendly) Second, cabins were filthy. Soap had separated, dusty blinds (that broke), cobwebs everywhere, shower head didn't work, we had to wash all dishes before use and the pontoon boat was dirty and I didn't want to take my shoes off. We weren't confident that the pontoon would start up if we turned it off. Third, the view was amazing; can't deny that! Lake was fantastic! Bring all your food because the closest spot is 35+ min from civilization. I can respect their "honor system" on ice use and such.

Checking-in was a breeze and We had reserved a boat and were on our way to the boat and on the lake within an hour of arrival. ALL RESORTS around Bull Shoals were built in the 1950's-1960's, Our Cabin "Bat Den" was nice and clean, fresh linens and high thread count sheets. The cabins given their age, are clean. The owners are new and slowly revamping the cabins. As the previous review says, prepare prior to arrival to bring food, drinks, and etc. It is a 40 minute round trip into town. However, the Lakeview marina has pizza to go and only a ten minute boat ride to marina. The boats Battys rent are older, but We enjoyed them. We had a boating malfunction and the resort was quick to respond and swap to another boat. Cheryl, We enjoyed our stay........

This was a great find for a short little vacation on the lake. From the moment of booking on VRBO,…read morethe owners were in contact with all the details needed for check in and a great stay. The resort is remote about 18 miles out of Mountain Home, but that is a charm as there is very little light or noise pollution in the area. There are 6 cottages of varying sizes to accommodate your needs. I stayed in Cottage #2 which has a spectacular view of Bull Shoals Lake from the porch as seen in the pictures. The cottage is one bedroom and very cozy. A fully funding functioning kitchen is useful for a long stay if you don't want to go beck into town for meals. The sitting area is in front of a large picture window with the same great view. A small dining table with chairs sits in one corner and the queen size bed in another. The bathroom is quite small with a color scheme from the 70s, but that is not an issue since you won't (hopefully) be spending a lot of time in there. The ceiling fan is extremely noisy, but that was turned off with the click of a switch. The owners are extremely outgoing and friendly! I was met at the car when I arrived and given a quick rundown of the place before settling in. Even though it rained for a lot of my trip, I thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet and beauty of the surroundings. I highly recommend the resort for even a day or two of relaxation, but it is also a good place for an extended stay for some quiet rest!

The first thing we noticed upon our arrival was the change in cleanliness at the resort.... keep in mind it was never bad, it just keeps getting better! Patty and Charlie are the nicest people you'll meet and willing to lend a helping hand to get you settled in. They are very welcoming and you can tell they are putting their heart and soul into the resort! We always come because the lake is clear, the water is clean, and it's a great area for fishing and wake boarding. In the mornings the water is super calm and it never gets overly crowded. The resort has a pool and great views if you are looking for a relaxing vacation, and I know you can rent boats around at some of the docks. There are brand new grills, nice decks, and the beds are comfortable with new linens. We always visit this resort and are very excited to see it in such great hands!!
