The thought of going out on the river with the promise of catching a trout lunch was an opportunity I couldn't pass up. I spent 3 1/2 hours on the river with Phil. The scenery was fantastic, his guidance and expertise was unmatched. I personally caught at least two dozen beautiful trout. We kept the best five of the bunch (legal limit) and released the rest. After it was all over, once we got back to shore, he cooked them all up, as well as fries. There is nothing like eating fresh-out-of-the-river trout. Delicious! All in all, an experience I've never had and one that will last a lifetime. Thanks again, Big Phil's Guides. If I ever get back to the area, I'll certainly give you a holler.

You can tell he truly cares about his guests and goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. The cabins were also fantastic -- very clean, well maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. You can tell they take a lot of pride in keeping the property in great shape. And I have to shout out Chad, our guide -- this was my very first time fly fishing, and he made the entire experience so fun and easy to learn. He was patient, encouraging, and clearly knows his stuff. I never once felt intimidated, which says a lot for a beginner experience! Between the hospitality, the beautiful setting, and the unforgettable time on the water, this place is something special. Highly recommend whether you're experienced or brand new -- they'll take great care of you!
