I had two holes rusted through the top of the tail pipe of my 2001 F150. Ordinarily I wouldn't care but occasionally where the holes were located exhaust fumes came into the cabin. So I brought it to them on a Tuesday my day off, not having an appointment they were able to assess the damage within a half hour and called me about it with a quote to complete the work. I not only needed a tail pipe but a new flow master muffler and a new exhaust hanger. The work exceeded my expectations I not only got the tail pipe and muffler but new piping all the way up to my catalytic converter's. The welds were very neat and the job only took 2 hours.. price was acceptable and I feel the value for my money. I highly recommend but make an appointment. I have had multiple vehicles here and honestly I wish I would have came sooner. The first time I came to hear my 1998 ford mustang cobra wasn't running and I needed the fuel lines put on and they didn't bat an eye like most other places did. They had taken the vehicle in on a short notice and got it out within a day (I was expecting a day or two) they beat my expectations and the price was very cheap. I later sent both my 1998 ford mustang cobra back again (for different problems that I didn't realize was going on the first time nor did I ask them to look for) and my 1994 ford f150 (still there by my doing due to I was being stupid and didn't do the research I needed till just recently) I made an appointment to drop both off at the same time. Told them to get them done when they could due to I wasn't going to be in town for a while the mustang was finished about 2 months ago and is now in Washington state and by the end of 12/2024 the f150 will be out as well and I will know the f150 will be better than OEM when I get it back. Thank you to Robert, Gary, Trent and the rest of the team for all the hard work y'all do. Even though I now live in Washington state I will still gladly send any of my vehicles to y'all because I know y'all will make sure they are OEM+. Recently was told my a mechanic my exhaust had a leak, he recommended Lakeside Muffler & Welding, who I have gone to many times over the years. My car was making a loud "ticking" sound a year or so after having my engine rebuilt, I thought it might have a very loud fuel injector - John looked at, gave me a quote, and I scheduled the work for the next day. I must of caught them on a bad day, I noticed that all the reviews are 5 stars. I had called on a Friday afternoon to ask about a quote on a axle back installation, and if I could stop by on the following Saturday and have them install it. I got there Saturday morning, I wanted to get there early so I could be first in line. A customer in a truck and trailer pulled up about 20 minutes after I had been waiting there. Not sure if he was a friend of theirs or what, well one of the employees shows up. Goes inside the shop and the customer follows him. I walk in, the customer cracks a joke and said I was a crook and just followed him in there. They both laughed, and the employee ask what he can help me with. I had mentioned that I had talked to John on the phone, and said "I'm not sure if you're John", but I had talked to John about an axle back installation yesterday, he opens his button up shirt and said "there is no name on my shirt, so I don't know who you talked to", "we open at 8am, come back then". I was kind of frustrated that he basically blew me off. Was kind of unprofessional. The installation would of been around $60 or so, I rather take my car to a place that treats me more professionally and pay $120 than deal with what I got that day. read more

These guys are amazing. First time I met them I was really happy, I've met my fair share of mechanics over the years, but when I met them they were very humble and helpful. I had rattling coming from my work van, drove it in and 100$ later and it was done, it was the gasket for the exhaust. I retired that van and got another one that me and my brother had replaced the engine in. After taking it to 3 other mechanics, these guys were actually able to give me a breakdown of everything that was wrong. I just got the smog taken care of on it and they were fast and reasonable on price. This will not be the last time I go here for automotive needs. read more

Gary and his guys saved me a lot of money when I needed some work done on the muffler of my 2014 Escape after accidentally backing over a high curb and knocking the muffler loose. Oops! I was either going to have to turn it into insurance for a $500 deductible, or pay out of pocket. Meineke in Santee completely turned down the job, saying it was too damaged to be fixed and just to turn it into insurance. Even the Ford dealership couldn't do it. I was soooo grateful and relieved when Gary immediately said "yeah, no problem" when he saw the damage. 2 days and only $125 later, my muffler is as good as new! Come to find out it was a much more difficult job that took longer than expected, but he didn't charge me more because of the initial quoted price. My Corolla was making a rattling noise when engine was running. I took it to my mechanic and he said my muffler cover was the cause of the noise. He advised me to take it to a muffler shop. A quick Google search led me to Lakeside Muffler and Welding since they had very good reviews. I found Gary in the office and explained to him what was going on. We started the engine and Gary isolated where the noise was coming from. He took the car on the lift and sure enough the aluminium heat shield was bent, loose and causing the rattling noise.
