We stopped at the first exit for gas when I asked a gentleman if you knew of a place that could help us. He recommended Perkins and gave us directions. When we got to the shop, the owner immediately helped us, repaired our tire while we waited, put it back on our car, and charged us such a great price that we were completely floored, all with a smile and fantastic attitude. It was potentially a terrible situation made all the better by Tom at Perkins Automotive. I just want to say thank you to him and highly recommend his shop. Called the dealer who I purchased it from with a question about a cracked steering wheel air bag cover. I was told by Solomon Ford that any dealer will fix it for me. I have purchased 5 different trucks from Champion. They are more interested in changing their commercials every other week than they are ensuring a good Service Dept. After never receiving a call from Butch or the Gen mgr of Service, I drove to ask status. I was then told that "Ford denied it" I said could you please check again, Solomon Ford has assured me over and over it is a covered item. I was getting no where with Champion and if you ask me one hand doesn't know what the other is doing. No one took the time to further investigate my issue. I told Solomon that I'd try another Ford dealership. BOB FERRANDO took 20mins to see it was covered and called the next day for pics. Within 2 days the part was ordered. Closed on a Sunday, we left a message with Laughlin Collision and the owner called us back and arranged for us to have Jerry work with us first thing on Monday. We were traveling with two dogs and 2430 miles from home and needed to get the car fixed immediately. As it turned out the parts were going to take a while to get. Jerry worked with our insurance company to get us a rental car so we could get on our way. It all worked out! We had to leave our car there, used a rental to continue our crisscross then flew back to Erie to pick up our car. Jerry worked with us every step of the way. The car looked great at pick-up!
