Thank God for Eric, who pulled over, took a look at my engine, and gave me a card so I could call him if roadside assistance fell through. Well, I ended up calling! Eric helped us get a new alternator and put it in on the spot. He was calm, professional, clear, and straightforward with all the information he gave us, whether it was his ETA, the cost of parts and labor, or what exactly had gone wrong with our alternator. He even told us we could text him in the future for a second opinion if we had doubts about what a mechanic was quoting us! Eric is a great guy who is great at what he does!

The tow truck driver lied and said he was coming "after taking my money" via app payment and made me wait three hours. I was in constant contact with him in which he kept Saying " I will see you shortly" AND NEVER CAME AFTER WAITING almost 3 hours (with two kids). I ended calling a Portage towing company (Portage towing and recovery) who arrived in 10-15 mins and went over and beyond for my family!

There was a large section of the parking lot blocked off with caution tape partly held up by a trash can. One of the two entrances to the restaurant inside was blocked off with a stack of water bottles and the restaurant space was very disorganized. The drink station had litter on the floor but was fairly busy with people using it so the litter may have happened not long before I noticed. If you need a toilet, you may be in luck with a clean one, but otherwise it's just another average disorganized gas station.

I could spend this whole review ripping Blue Ox,but I'm here to review Mr.Fuel. This place is very nice. Like I previously stated, they have workable pumps, a nice convenience store, and very good hot take out food! The pizza is good, the desserts are good, and believe it or not the store made salads are excellent! I know that sounds crazy for a gas station salad, but they really are good. And their good about giving you extra packages of dressing without charging you extra for them like many fast food joints do. As far as their gas prices go, they're in line with all the other truck stops on Ripley, so give them a try. I think you'll be pretty satisfied with them.
