My experience was absolutely perfect, I have a beautiful trailer yes the prices are up because of corona. But that is everywhere the service and willingness to help was definitely over with other companies are willing to offer. If I was ever going to buy a trailer I would buy it from Valparaiso Trailer. read more

Great small business with tons of inventory in stock for your trailer needs of any kind

Updating my trailer from the last excuse Valpo Trailer of Valparaiso, In. made, Well I took my trailer all the way to Kalamazoo,MI. Where I bought and had it made. R&R trailer said we fixed your left side trailer door cable no problem. I said was the spring center axel bent and they said no. I said Valpo Trailer said they could not get it on as the lift spring axle was bent. They laughed and said sounds like they didn't know how to put it on. I said the same thing. They fixed it for free as I was having other warranty work being done to it. Again Valpo Trailer had cheap response for cheap work. Do not go there and waste your money and days of being down. Nothing but liars. read more

They are now calling customers who have already paid and have been waiting for trailers saying there was a 48% mark up since the ordered, and now want more money. This isn't the customers fault. This is bad business. Good luck getting help here, or even getting what you have already paid for. read more

I called to price some custom rails and brackets for my fifth wheel hitch. Bob who answered the phone wasn't understanding what I needed and proceeded to yell on the phone. This is not how you treat customers and will never spend a dime there. Now you see why people order online! read more

I've been dealing with Valpo Trailer for several years now. They have without a doubt the best inventory of parts and I have purchased trailers there on two occasions. The prices I have paid for the trailers have been very fair as well as the cost of the parts. I have gone there with unique trailer issues and they have always solved my issues and I have found them very knowledgeable. I'd recommend them to anyone who would have a trailer or trailer parts need. Glenn Michigan City, IN read more

They have good trailer parts and service however if you want to buy a new trailer find another dealer. They are not competitive and you will pay more here. read more

Great small business. Helped me to understand how weight distribution works. They took their time to educate me so I gave them my business. They always seem to have anything you need for a trailer. The prices are better than other places as well. Obviously do your own comparison but for weight distribution it was half the price of what the RV dealer wanted. Very reasonable on Labor as well. Nice to go to a place that remembers who you are. read more

Go anywhere else - this shop is run by a 70 year old man and his 70 year old wife - they are overworked. I made an appointment to have some work on my camper. Brought the camper in only to find out he has no time to do the things I need done. I felt like I was asking for a favor. His wife explained that he works 7 days a week until 9:00 - why is this my problem? I was told a day to come get it - the bill was not ready - after waiting 20 minutes I said i would come back the next day - bill still not done - waited another 20 minutes. Someone was handwriting the things that were done - He had installed my hitch with the wiring - but I can;t use the lights without the fuse breaking - he charged me $15.00 to change it - took him 1 minute - now i find out the fuse will continue to trip so I will be taking it somewhere else to see what is wrong read more

My experience with Stevens marine, what a Joke, i was referred to Stevens marine by the selling of my boat, we called Maureen the wife of the owner for a quote for the repairs, and it was fair so she picked up the boat we gave her a deposit for work and parts , boat sat for week Nd she called and said we need additional parts ,ok fine , so the price TRIPLED AND SO DID THE LABOR , she marked up the parts 37% and when we questioned her she said if we didn't like the price we could take our boat somewhere else, thinking she had us over barrel Lol so we td her ok we will take it else where. When i got there the next morning i asked if they could load my out drives in my truck , and her son said follow me and pointed to my out drives i said can you load them in my truck , he started to rant and rav swearing at me you take ur s$#$t out of here a d wheeled them to the back of the boat and Through them down in the dirt gravel which I have all recorded on my phone and then he proceeds to tell me why he is $3000 higher then ANYONE!!! Because he dose it better ,and how im going to get screwed from Service 1 Marine how there going to cheat me on parts and level of Work ,and how much work he gets because they screw people Which I have all this I'm recording also, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL THE WHOLE FAMILY THEY LIE, So then i go to office to see if i have to sign anything and Maureen tells me i Questioned there integrity and there work Lol No i just DIDN'T LET THEM STICK IT TO ME ... I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND STEVENS MARINE REPAIR SHOP TO ANYONE.... VERY NON Professional business.. BEWARE..... read more

Bob could not be a more honest man. I have bought two plows and three salt spreaders from the business. On a snow night I got there late, but they stayed open and installed my plow parts without a complaint. There philosophy is to get all the day's work done the same day cause they don't know what tomorrow will bring. Anyone who asks me where to get parts is sent to Valparaiso trailer for sure. read more
