What an awesome place to check out a baseball game! We have visited this park several times, and it is the perfect size to bring a younger child. We have been coming here since our daughter was just an infant. But when she got a little bit older we felt very comfortable seeing the Chinooks because it is a small enough park that we can keep an eye her, but my husband and I get to enjoy some baseball. They have some really terrific theme nights. The last time we visited we got to meet Milwaukee Brewers legend Rollie Fingers. parking is free, but it is a little bit of a walk to get to the park. Unlike at other places, they supply a convenient golf cart to take you up to the gate if you have a hard time walking a distance. To be honest, we sometimes take the golf cart just because our nine-year-old loves it! There is a nice variety of food available at the park along with bounce houses and some activities for kids. I highly recommend coming to check out a game here. It is affordable for a family and a great time. read more

After winning a game against the 14u chinooks. In the bottom of the 5th inning the game ended in a forfeit. They then got all mad and players trash talked our starting pitcher. The Chinooks called us "dip shits". A parent from the Chinooks tells our boys to "shut the fuck up" and when we retaliate by saying the parents were making themselves look ridiculous, another dad said two wrongs don't make a right and got mad at our parents for being upset about the swearing at children. This team never fails to make a fool out of themselves, and the parents were absolutely unhinged. nobody felt safe leaving, everyone feeling unsafe about the chinooks parents. do better, this is little league baseball. read more

I've been trying to experience one of these games after reading about the Northwoods league and all of their marketing activities, and it didn't disappoint me. The stadium was very nice, clean and right off of Lake Michigan. The game was very well played (talented) and they all played hard. Balls flying foul into the crowd or out of the stadium. You may want to park further away...The amenities and fun factor was outstanding. Many activities for the crowd throughout the game and between innings. All of this at a really affordable price that you can take the whole family to. The university could charge for parking but they have chosen not to (Yay Concordia!) Not a bad seat in the house and at least for this game, that very full either. I plan to come back and bring my kids along. We actually sat in the Usinger Uecker Upper Deck and the food was good. We also loved being able to buy some Stormin' Gorman BBQ sauce and it was $2 less here than anywhere else we have purchased it. All of this for a short drive north of Milwaukee. read more

I just got back from my first game at the stadium. It's a wonderfully decorated ballpark. Let's get to the breakdown: GOOD: Concessions Prices Ticket Prices ($11 for a reserved seat with a good view? Only the seats at the Minor League Baseball team I worked for were cheaper!) Atmosphere Giveaways (l got a free seat cushion for just coming in, they offer free haircuts for kids who return foul balls, they throw out t-shirts, give away free) Family Friendly (Loads of children and adults enjoying a nice and relaxing evening) OK: The parking is free but there is a bit of a walk. That walk has been difficult for my 80 year old grandma she had told me but luckily a security guard gave us a ride in his cart. The reason I am giving the experience 4 stars instead of 5 is that their first year growing pains are there but not overwhelming. I went to my first Chinooks game last night and it was a blast! The games are played at Kapco Park on the Concordia University Wisconsin campus in Mequon. This is the inaugural season and the team is made up of a diverse group of college players (LSU, Notre Dame, Louisville, Seton Hall, etc...) and their opponents are all Wisconsin teams (last night it was the Madison Mallards!) The prices a low ($4 for a beer and $8 for a great, grandstand seat), the stadium is brand, spankin' new, the parking is easy (and free), and the baseball is fun to watch!! read more

We'll watch baseball in pretty much any form, but I'm so excited the Northwoods League made it to the Milwaukee area. I have visited a lot of minor league parks over the years. While this is college baseball players playing in a wooden bat league, the overall entertainment value rates extremely high. Wonderful setting, free parking, inexpensive ticket pricing & below average beer prices exceeding my expectations. The fireworks show last night also exceeded expectations and was a great way to top a wonderful evening of food, conversation with friends, and baseball. My only downside comments are that there were no reserved seats available for 4 to sit together on a busy Saturday night. Also, the entire field is covered with an artificial surface. Only the pitcher's mound was dirt. I'm a purist & would rather see baseball on real grass. Go. Take the kids. Enjoy. read more

I went to my first Chinooks game on Friday night, and I think I am in love. Immediately following the game, I felt like driving a Chevrolet and eating a piece of apple pie. It's that American. For $8, we got two solid hours of entertainment. Yes - the games go fast! But the team - an assemblage of college players from all over the country, all aspiring to make the big leagues one day - brings back the charm and the heart that baseball deserves and the major leagues seem to have lost. The stadium itself is brand spankin' new and very nice. There are silly activities in almost every inning to keep things interesting for the kids. And there is a diverse menu of food and beverages to please every pallet. I will be back, for I am hooked. (Pun intended.) read more

Looking forward to a Chinooks game at Kapco park. We are Waterloo Bucks host family and have a cabin in Port Washington, 10 miles away, so plan on catching games when we are in the area! Not all the teams are in Wisconsin as someone else said. The Northwoods League covers Minnesota, Iowa, Michigan, and even Canada. Your prices are a bit high as Waterloo has grandstand seats for only $5.00, but beer prices are about the same. Looks like another great addition to NWL. read more
