What a great experience! Affordable baseball fun! There's a ton of different entertaining side shows going on before each inning! Check out the fish fry on Fridays! Pretty good stuff!

The Lakeshore Chinooks games have quickly become one of our favorite summertime family activities. Located on the Concordia University campus, Kapco park is easy to get in and out of and the parking is free. Kids love how accessible the players are - you're probably going to encounter a few walking in from the parking lot with you! All of the seats are super close and perfect for the smaller members of the family. Larger family members will love the ticket prices starting at just $6! The Chinooks keep things moving between innings with lots of opportunities for audience participation - even for the kids. Different theme nights also add to the fun. Even the food is surprisingly good. Our favorite is definitely the wings with Legend Larry's sauce. Better than our local pub's! If you are looking for a fun outing for the family and don't want to break the bank, be sure to check out the Lakeshore Chinooks.

I've been trying to experience one of these games after reading about the Northwoods league and all of their marketing activities, and it didn't disappoint me. The stadium was very nice, clean and right off of Lake Michigan. The game was very well played (talented) and they all played hard. Balls flying foul into the crowd or out of the stadium. You may want to park further away...The amenities and fun factor was outstanding. Many activities for the crowd throughout the game and between innings. All of this at a really affordable price that you can take the whole family to. The university could charge for parking but they have chosen not to (Yay Concordia!) Not a bad seat in the house and at least for this game, that very full either. I plan to come back and bring my kids along. We actually sat in the Usinger Uecker Upper Deck and the food was good. We also loved being able to buy some Stormin' Gorman BBQ sauce and it was $2 less here than anywhere else we have purchased it. All of this for a short drive north of Milwaukee.

I went to my first Chinooks game last night and it was a blast! The games are played at Kapco Park on the Concordia University Wisconsin campus in Mequon. This is the inaugural season and the team is made up of a diverse group of college players (LSU, Notre Dame, Louisville, Seton Hall, etc...) and their opponents are all Wisconsin teams (last night it was the Madison Mallards!) The prices a low ($4 for a beer and $8 for a great, grandstand seat), the stadium is brand, spankin' new, the parking is easy (and free), and the baseball is fun to watch!!

Also, they do this for fun! Realize these women "by day" are lawyers, teachers, nurses, hair stylists, businesses owners and all the like from around SE WI. And the PUNS - at the start they always announce the four teams - Crazy Eights, Maiden Milwaukee, Rushin' Roulettes and the Shevil Knevils. Not only are the team names cool enough, but each woman comes up with her own unique name and persona for the team she's on - my current favorite player's names include: - SUSAN B ANARCHY - MADAME FURIE - ANITA D'GROIN - MILWAUKEE'S BREAST (I mean .... come on!) Also, I cannot count how many times I've been at a derby bout and ran into someone from the "real world" I know - they're always supporting a player - daughter, wife, friend, etc. and it just reminds you what a cool and somewhat underground culture it is, and how many people are actually impacted by the BCB. It takes a little getting use to understanding how the "jammers" score points, but after you watch a couple of bouts, you quickly get into the swing of things. The Brewcity Bruisers rumble usually January through May at the Panther arena which is filled with delicious snacks and beer to squelch those halftime woes. The cheer leading squad "The Beerleaders" always add extra special touches with choreographed dances during half time. If you haven't went yet, get there and make sure to pick up some BCB merch reppin' your favorite team (you'll already have one by the end of your first visit.)

Parking is usually 1-2 blocks nearby and I noticed a few bars offering shuttles. So it's a good idea to support those bars as well. I'm not sure how often this happens but of the 3 times I've went 2 people have been hurt enough to stop the game. Leave it to say this is not a sport for prancing around the oval. I really like how the intros are very professional with the use of the scoreboard and announcers use of Twitter to interact with the fans in the seats.. food 4 Amb 4 expect more improvements at this location service 5 location 5 value 5 23/2016

There was a little rain but that didn't stop us from having fun at the Quack of a Bat! A Mallards game is must-do summer activity especially for anyone exploring Madison. After getting our wristbands, we weren't given any directions on where to get food and drinka. The food selection was very limited: just hot dogs, brats, burgers, chip, and drinks. The players are college athletes, so it's definitely a different vibe than Major League games, but it was still fun to watch the Mallards against the Wausau Woodchunk. There were a few activities for kids, and overall it made for a nice couple of hours. One tip: the seating is extremely uncomfortable. I wish I'd known to bring a seat cushion or foam pad.
