She has become noticeably more confident, more social with other children, and her English skills have improved dramatically. What truly sets this school apart is Teacher Monica, a rare gem in the Greater Seattle area. With over 30 years of Montessori teaching experience, she brings a depth of understanding, patience, and guidance that's incredibly hard to find. She also had a knack for recruiting compassionate and loving assistant teachers such as Rebecca, Lori, and previously Gnana, whom we greatly appreciated. While only a very select number of schools in the area have teachers with comparable experience, those schools tend to be quite large, and it's not always guaranteed that your child will be placed with one of their most seasoned educators. At Eastgate, the environment is more personal and intentional, and we felt confident that our daughter was receiving direct support from someone who truly understands Montessori principles and how to nurture each child's growth. We're grateful for the warmth, consistency, and quality of education our daughter received here. Highly recommend!

What I love most about EMG is their Montessori approach to education. My child has flourished under this method, which encourages hands-on learning and exploration. The teachers have created an environment that is both nurturing and stimulating, allowing my child to develop their unique interests and talents at their own pace. But what really sets this school apart is the teachers. Monika and Manisha are both wonderful educators who are passionate about their work and truly care about their students. They go above and beyond to ensure that each child in their class feels valued and supported. I have personally witnessed the impact that Monika and Manisha have had on my child. They both have a unique ability to bring out the best in each child and help them reach their full potential. I am so grateful to have them here. In conclusion, I highly recommend Eastgate Montessori Garden to any parent or guardian looking for a school with caring and loving teachers. The Montessori approach to education, combined with the school's warm and welcoming atmosphere, make for an exceptional learning experience.

We're very happy with the teachers he's had, with the friends he's made, with the extended hours of the school, etc. At first we didn't think he was learning much Chinese, but then his grandma came to live with us from China, and we realized he was just shy, and he could actually speak Chinese very well. Overall, great school, happy with his progress in English, math, Chinese. Happy with a structured curriculum that also gives him free time to choose his own passions.

I would give 0 star if I could. This is a fake Montessori school. It has no Montessori…read morecertification. Unlike other Montessori schools, kids play with toys in the afternoon instead of doing work. The classroom is full of Montessori material, but that's only for decoration. The kids have never touched some of the materials because teachers don't even know how to use them. Also, most teachers don't have certification either. The way they treat student is completely wrong. They dont comfort kids when they feel said. I feel like they don't actually care about their students and their feelings. The school is closed this year in March due to coronavirus. Parents send tons of emails asking for tuition refund and we receive no response. Not even to just acknowledge that they have received our email. The director refund 25% of tuition fee for April while the school is closed for the month. Some parents want to hold off their April payment until school reopens. They received a notice from school saying that if you don't pay for April, we will consider this as an act of withdrawing your child from school. The 2 month deposit would be gone. Their decision is very business driven to benefit their needs. They are still making money from us during this time period and use it to support school development(they are building a new campus) and teacher training program. Would a school without certification spend money on teacher's development? I doubt it.

We came across The Farmhouse School, and I was so excited. The philosophy is exactly what I hoped to find- Play-based, a focus on social emotional wellbeing, open-ended exploration, and great family support. My son had only been with me for his first three years of life, and I wasn't sure how he would take to being away from me, but he's done amazingly well so far. He is excited to go, and even asks to go on the weekend. He always has a big smile on his face while we head to school, and he tells me about how he plays with his friends at pickup. The teachers are all lovely and warm, and are very compassionate. They understand how to work with children and families to ensure the transition from home to school goes well. I can't say enough about the school. It's great, and I wish there were more schools like this in the area so more children could experience what best practices are for this age group!

Some favorite components of the school for my daughter was the rotation of exploratory areas and touch areas. For example, some weeks they have a big bin of leaves and other weeks they have interesting beads, or water play. Some weeks there are tables with writing with interesting things or ways to write your name or guess the smell in the cup. There is even a quaint writing center and student mailboxes for sharing letters. An important component is outside play everday no matter the weather. They have a wonderful outdoor play space complete with garden and live chickens. One of the most important aspects of the school is the teacher interation with the students. For ex: When students are telling a story, the teacher is writing down what they are saying or writes down titles or explanations of the artwork created by the students. The preschoolers feel respected and love that their ideas are seen as important. Last year the students were interested in collectively creating a bug hotel, they worked on this project all year. The teachers helped the students generate lists of what the hotel needed and they were continually creating collaboratively. For a few weeks the students were interested in doing a play so the teachers started writing down their script ideas and in a few days at pick up all the parents got to watch a very charming preschool production on the back porch. When you are thinking about a place to start your child's education, Farm house is a wonderful, creative, and kind place to start.

As a family although we aren't native French speakers, however our kids learnt the language so quickly. It's an excellent bilingual immersion school, which offers a strong academic curriculum in both French and English in an experiential learning approach via projects related to Art, Science, Mathematics, Sports, History etc... throughout the year, field trips, outside in authors visiting to talk to students along with exchange opportunities with schools in France. French Immersion school of Washington is one of the most diverse schools in the greater Seattle area. I would strongly recommend the school for families who are considering Bilingual immersion program in the Greater Seattle area.

What differentiate this school from other bilingual schools or public schools? (1) The caliber of the teachers and staff. Over the course of last 6 years, FISW helps to raise our kids to be open-minded, kind, inquisitive, adaptable, and curious about the world, students are simulated to learn through observation, inquiry, exploration, play and creation, vs pure memorization. The school also has many events and activities to bring the parents and community together. This is the best choice we've made.

We arrived, signed in and she was off playing with only a bit of hesitation and I felt totally safe leaving my daughter with the friendly staff. We picked her up and she said she had 'the best time ever' and wanted to go back again every day. We'll be back! Update: 3/20/2010 We had my daughter's birthday party here- 12 preschoolers and as many parents joined us for an hour and a half for their 'Yellow Light' party package and it was FANTASTIC. The staff were so competent that I didn't have to lift a finger, we arrived 15 min before the party as requested and in just 10 minutes, they wisked the table full of the goodies, had the pinata hung up, the cake displayed and the whole place was perfect. The kids wandered in and each of them were greeted warmly and everyone was able to join the fun in progress. The staff were super with each and every kid, and based on the smiles and giggles, this was the best party ever. The staff had structured activities interlaced with free play and an easy transition to cake time, pinata and then goodbye. Before I could blink, they were loading my car with the cake and gifts and we were on our way home. Best party experience I can even imagine. SO EASY!
