Played 18 holes on a Sunday morning. We were finished in just over four hours. Staff are very friendly. Only draw back is currently they do not have a practice green fir putting and chipping..Will be back for sure. read more

Short, beginner friendly course. Nice staff. Would recommend. Price is right and not busy course in the afternoon.

I can't believe this cow pasture is $50. Garbage and they load it up so you're always being hit into or hitting into someone.

They let groups of 5-6 to special people. If you ask the pro shop and ask about it they say that they let 5s go all the time no questions asked. I said okay cool good to know, so a year later I had a group of 3 joining a random two. Thinking it would be fine no questions asked like the said. Well apparently that's not aloud when they are full? Like wtf they just ruined me and some older friends time back year. lol don't get me started on the condition of the course we all know it's like a D+ course with B prices. read more

This is actually a great course. It's only getting better as they rebuild the club house. The downfall is that they don't have a range to practice before you get here. The course is well managed, but just like any city course to the public you will have different pace of play. It is a fun and challenging course and really keeps you strict on your game. I highly recommend playing here. read more

Paying $50 for green fees and the greens aren't green is robbery and they got me. If you like playing on hard dead grass and teeing off from concrete like tee boxes this is the course for you ! 10/10 don't recommend read more

The marshal got off his couch at closing time to usher people off the course but not a single marshal out all day to regulate the pace of play. The course is trashed. I remember it as a fun course but it was hurry up and wait. I will play elsewhere. read more

Short course-5,200+ yds! I did not realize this so not challenging for me. $24 after 2 pm is still too much IMO for a short, poorly maintained course with no distinguishing features. Tee boxes were a mess, bare dirt and soggy. 2-3 holes were modified due to work in progress. 18th was shortened in half, but stater did not bother to mention this! I wouldn't pay $16 to play here...I've played better 9 hole courses than this! Boring layout...no features to remember. A few holes with houses and roads with car noise. Lake Wilderness Golf Course - Tee boxes all chewed up, over-watered soggy mess! - Golf Near Me - Maple Valley, Washington

Took my 10 year old grandson to play golf for his first time and my 1st time in probably 10 years. 1st time at LWGC. The guy at the pro shop at first seemed a little cranky, but then he warmed up a bit when I told him it was my grandsons first time playing. I admit I'm horrible at paying attn to prices so I'm not sure how much it was suppose to be or what our total was. He claimed he gave me a break ‍ The course seems a little run down but to be honest? That worked out great for us. On the 2nd hole, some guy came from out of nowhere behind us, runs up to my ball and proceeds to hit it on to the 3rd fairway. I couldn't really tell it was my ball until we got up there, but yep. He totally did that. Which sucked since I'd had a great drive off the Tee box. Dang it. Grandson had a great time and fell in love with golf. Been bugging me every day since to go again. We were courteous and let everyone play through our slow behinds! read more

This place can be slow and long... One time they were so busy there weren't even enough golf carts. It feels like a lot of noobs or those who aren't so great come here. Greens not great but it's cheap. read more

Can it really be considered a course if I shot under par without using woods? Course was soaking wet, rocks in the fairway, greens were bumpy and looked like they hadn't been mowed since the previous summer. For a course so far off the beaten path, you would think they would try extra hard to make themselves stand out. Too bad for Lake Wilderness they did, by being one of the worst courses out there. read more

This is a decent course. Not the greatest and certainly not the worse. It is a really short course. I drove the green on a few of the holes so definitely expect a low score if you're a good golfer. When I played the course was in pretty good condition and definitely not soaking wet like the other review. That must have been a one off thing. I golfed in July so maybe rainfall wasn't a factor when I played. As far as the difficulty of the course I'd give it a 5/10. Even if I had a bad drive I just had to either chip it or punch out 50 yards. Greens weren't beat up so the ball rolled as it should. Only thing that bothered me was the restaurant inside would close at like 2pm. I went there twice in a row one weekend and they were always out of hot dogs because they were closing up at 2pm. That I did not understand and wish they would change. That's just asking for twilight golfers to bring their own food and beverages to the course. The price is average for this type of course and beers are about $4 for a 16oz so not too bad. Some of the tee boxes on the par 3's definitely need work. It get's eaten up pretty bad and you're basically struggling to find grass on the tee to hit off of. read more

Tried to add a additional person to a group for their VERY FIRST tee time of the day and was told there was no way it was impossible. There were two other groups of two that this person could have been paired with. No common sense running this place at all. Would not have impacted their tee times at all. Also doesn't help that their "pro" shop and most of the staff appear to be around 16. This place is run by kids. No thanks I will take my business elsewhere in the future. read more

This course has improved greatly in the last 4 years! Yes, it's fairly short BUT it's also very narrow. Straight hitters are rewarded! The average guy (handicap 15-25) will enjoy it because it offers some victories along with the normal defeats. For those of us who think placing the word "challenging" in a course only dissuades us-this is a place to play. read more

I recently booked my company party at their "banquet" center/club house based off the photos and info on their website which was a HUGE mistake! I am pretty sure those photos are from at least 20 years ago, before the building became so rundown. This facility is old and in extreme disrepair. Not only that, the banquet manager I worked with was forgetful and several times downright rude. I reserved the space two months in advance as my other top 2 places were already booked. The fact this place was available should have told me something but I was in need of a place to hold my event so I booked the venue. The banquet manager assured me they could handle the group of 100 I was going to bring and we would love the food as he had been the executive chief at the space needle for over 10 years. I thought I had found a hidden treasure but found that there was obviously a reason he was now working at a rundown golf course restaurant / banquet center. I set the date, menu and details paid the deposit and thought we were good to go. They said they would handle the linens, including chair covers, food and bar. The week before my big event I went to the venue to finalize details. At that time I found out they were planning my event for the wrong night. I had to correct them on the date. I was also told they couldn't get the chair covers as promised as their contact didn't have them for banquet chairs and he "didn't have time to go all over Seattle to find some for me". Excuse me? Special events is what you do, right?! Well, finding chair covers was a burden put on me as they were not willing to deliver as promised. The chairs there are so stained and nasty that not having covers was not an option. I was able to do a Google search and in less than 20 minutes found a company that not only had what I needed but would deliver and pick up too. I see why that was so much trouble he couldn't do that for me. My team of miracle workers had to spend over 4 hours decorating to try to make the place look presentable. The ceiling tiles are water stained, the room has an odd layout, the carpet is warn and the bathrooms are scary! The bathrooms were really the worst part as ceiling tiles were missing, the stalls were hanging off hinges and the water came out as a trickle. We managed to make it look festive and it was party time. During the party things didn't get better. The food was over 20 minutes late being served and was mediocre at best. They were not able to get new trays of food out fast enough and several times my guests were waiting in line for food to come out. During dinner the ceiling started to drip water on one of the tables and the power even went out for a bit due to an overload. Real classy guys! All I can say is I lived through this event. Luckily I had planned some fun activities that were able to distract from the facility itself. If you are looking for a nice place to host and event this is NOT it! I will never be back. read more

If you are a golfer I would stay away from lake wilderness golf course "specials" they offer a lunch special which includes a cart, lunch and 18 holes of golf. Well we golfed 9 holes went In For a lunch break. Turns out it is a 20-25 minute wait. So we decide to come back after 18 holes and what do you know still a 20-25 minute wait. So we all figure let's go eat some where else. I go Talk to the guy at the front counter about receiving a refund for the difference between the course rate and the "special" he goes it is a dollar. It is tough to write a review like this because lake wilderness is the only golf course left in the city of maple valley but I feel like it is a scam I there part. read more

We went there for our yearly golf scramble (Over 40 golfers) and they were not accommodating at all! Our tee time was noon and because of a light rain in the morning, they let the beer cart girl go home. We heard the manager say, " I am not gonna pay a girl from 7am till noon just because this group wants to get drunk on the course" When we booked,we were promised a beer girl all to ourselves! The golf pro running the pro shop was extremely condescending and since we were playing too slow, he asked us to skip a few holes because the folks behind us were complaining. We offered to let them play thru but they also were part of a group. We ended up skipping two holes and yet they caught up to us in a hurry. (They were pros, we stink). We skipped a few more holes and then said the hell with it, and went in as they were on our butt yet again. I stated to him, "We were nice enough to skip 6 holes for the group behind us but it is not really fair that we should have had to do that." Instead of offering us something for our trouble, he said "18 holes should take no more than 4 hours, you have had your time on the course. What a jerky thing to say. We wont be back and although we are stinky golfers, the majority of our golfers were regulars there, (With the emphasis on WERE) read more

This course is great for a friendly little course that doesn't give a hooty tooty feeling! But, PLEASE! People! Replace your divots!!! If you don't know what a divot is, then you shouldn't be playing golf!! read more
