The actual theatre part had that fuzzy white mold on back of all the chairs. Im sure it's all in the fabric too. It was pretty musty in there. The ceiling was leaking too. And it was warm. The chairs were just your basic chairs. They lean back just enough for the person behind you to kick it through the movie. I prefer the reclining chairs. Just my preference. Concessions served microwaved frozen hotdogs. And they come in a melted clear tray they were melted in with a giant 3oz cup or mustard. lol very generous The staff was very nice and friendly. The movie was fine. The sound was good too. I think the worst part is it smelled moldy. Doesn't seem to be maintained well. Everything's dated. Just an honest opinion. I did like the fact they had 5 movie and several times for movies. Matinees too.

It was the atmosphere really. The retro, throwback atmosphere. Walking in there you really feel like you're having an experience. It's a very small, old school cinema - only one employee was working on the Sunday I showed up. There's a tiny little lobby leading into the only screen of the cinema. The place is clean and the prices are cheap. It's an experience. Obviously you're not going to watch Avatar 2 there. You're not there for the movie - you're there for the experience and for a cinema fan it's a good one.

The interior concession area is updated but still holds the classic cinema feel. The people who run the place are all very nice and professional. My only issue here is that the seats seem pretty worn. I'm sure it's difficult to have fully upgraded seats in a place where the ticket and concession prices are lower than the average theater. But it still prevents me from giving it a full five stars, but so close. It's beautiful inside with the classic feel of years ago. Truly worth at least one visit. There is a more modern four screen theater at the far south end of town by WalMart and across from St Joseph's College but it has a cold feeling to it with rude employees, plain to no decorations, and high prices.

It had nothing to do with outside food, they just refuse to even hold on to the bag in some storage or locker or something. Which makes no sense because they are right near a campus, pretty sure that's their whole potential clientele. But that explains why there was no one there, which explains why they can't clean or renovate the premise, no one goes there anymore. Shocker. Fortunately the building was purchased by the Wabash Community Foundation and it's being cleaned and restored. This is a beloved landmark to downtown Wabash. The quality of films shown here is outstanding and up to date. In the summers they have free movie Monday's for kids. Keep up the great job Eagles Theatre!

The theaters feature stadium seating so recliners may not be feasible, although there is a flat floor section up front. The theaters have "rocker" chairs which allows the person in front of you to lean back right into your knees. The last time, my wife had a huge guy in front of her that due to his weight was leaning back and practically in her lap. His female companion sitting in front of me was very animated during parts of Lion King, bouncing in her seat (and this was an adult, not a child!) when certain scenes excited her. Luckily she didn't bang into my knees. This would be my second choice for a local theater, only if I can't get the times I want at Eastside.

There are cup holders at each seat. Our view was unobstructed and noise level was low even though there were a lot of kids in the theater. There is a cute little birthday room set up with deals for the kids to get snacks and see a movie. The restrooms were clean (although a number of stalls were non operational. There was plenty of free parking close to the door. The lobby is filled with electronic games to keep the kids occupied before the show. I can't wait to go back without the kids and see an adult show.

We meet the new manager that had just taken over and he was kind considerate and generous with the snacks they bend over backwards to make your visit enjoyable and pleasant. The snacks were great the movie was excellent, the only negative was that the theaters heater wasn't working that night but we have been back and the were working fine He did say(the new mgr) that they had had several problems but were working them out one at a time. They really make you feel like the small local movie theater of the past with the newest technology seating overall experience, the best of both worlds.
