This is an excellent outdoor space to enjoy the trees, the ponds, the ducks, and the trails. It's so peaceful to walk along the Truckee River, too; the sound of water is quite relaxing. There are 49 acres total at this community park, which also features a swimming pool, playgrounds, a skate park, picnic tables, bbq area, volleyball courts, baseball fields, and public restrooms. I was here early enough to witness the sunrise, too--gorgeous. This is a great space in Reno!

Several homeless people were lying in the grassy areas. There are no bathrooms at this park. There is no playground equipment at this park. The lake is very pretty and I an envious of people that have homes with a view here. I am not really sure how the water is safe to fish for mostly trout in, but not safe to swim in. The playground is unique and offers a lot to play on. Wood chips are underneath the playground. There are swings and toddler swings at this park. I…read morehave several fond memories over the years of family photos, baby showers, birthdays and graduation parties here. Inquire within Reno city office to rent parts of the park for your events. I frequently brought my oldest to this park and the Wilbur D May museum over the years for certain exhibitions. It was convenient since we were in NW Reno area. Tea parties and picnics by the playground and hikes up to the "N" during warmer spring and summer months. The playground is currently under construction and might be our favorite. I look forward to bringing my little when it's reopened. This past weekend my kids and I attended the great Reno balloon races and this event never disappoints. It's an annual tradition that I'm glad my oldest still partakes in for now. This was the largest turnout I've seen in all my years of attendance and living in Reno. The staff that organized/worked this event were well prepared and it was organized; thank you for your hard work and for all of the participants. Next year this event will run 4 days! I'm already looking forward to coming back. I look forward to returning when the playground is completed and visiting when I'm in old NW Reno.

AMENITIES: Barbecue, basketball court, pathways, picnic shelter, playgrounds, tables/benches, and year-round restrooms. You need bathrooms on the other side of the park also. Atmosphere - Part of the 1962 acre master community. 8 acres put aside for this park. Open space, wetland, etc. Service - N/A, self service. Price - Free. Owner Suggestion - Thank you for such a nice park, but can I suggest more shade? And another set of bathrooms on the other side of the park.

We used to bring my kiddos to this park a when they were little. There's a good amount of shade, ample parking, There are restroom facilities with bright night lighting. A large stretch of grass and even a walking trail makes for some good stroller cruisin'! I'd say a highlight to this park is the awesome view and location. We paid $250 for the rental through the city of Reno. Just so you know, the power outlets DO NOT WORK. We used our vehicles for power outlets ;)
