Our spot would always be at pine grove and would go fishing in their crappie pond and were thrilled when they added the new sand beach. Now in 2025, they have made our spot (Pine Grove) where me and many other families have always taken our spring break, fall break and other week vacations at and "annual only site" and closed it off. We thought okay that sucks but we can try out the others sites. We decided to try out Beaver Cove and that has been a MAJOR disappointment. The sites look like they have not been tidied up in who knows how long and their bathrooms are unclean and do not have any soap ever! No decent swimming/fishing areas around it. And ticks everywhere! You would figure if they decided to close off pine grove they would fix up the non-annual spots but no! Seems to be more about the money considering there are more annual spots than non-annual and they are better taken care of. After 11 years of camping here we have decided to look elsewhere to camp. So so so disappointed!!!!

The park is nicely kept. There are real restrooms and latrines, RV and tent camping. Boating and boat launch. Piers and fishing. Lot of picnic tables. Getting to the lake was a little crazy and there were no clear posted signs where to turn. The road from one point off Rt 66 was ROUGH and NARROW. For our first time pulling our camper it was 4 miles of stress. We always leave the site cleaner than how we found it. That being said we found lots of broken glass on the beach and trash. Lots of stickers in the grass. Overall the campground was clean. Restrooms and bath houses were in general clean. No real doors to speak of. they used shower curtains which were torn making it awkward to use the restroom or shower. I would not reserve site 20 or 21. #20 has a lot of wash out and was not level. #21 was a little better. #22 &#23 were much flatter and would be easier to level your camper on. We reserved online and according to the site it was full and site picking was slim. When we arrived there were 10-15 total campsites occupied...maybe? So I would not trust the site. I would suggest calling if you are interested in a particular site. We did not have a boat and did shore fishing with no luck. Lots of turtles. There were large boats on the water and personal water craft. Water was on opposite side of camper. We had to go to walmart and get a longer hose. The water had great pressure so be sure you get a regulator. I would also suggest bringing water to make coffee or cook with or use an intake filter. Just smells a little but not terrible. I just didn't like the way my coffee tasted. I don't think we will return based on sites, navigation and price. $20+ with no septic.
