From the parking lot area, we went up the hill towards the trees, away from the lake, and the trails they had there were well marked, but not particularly wide walking paths like Turkey Mountains'. The docks at Cross Timbers are very clean and in great shape. There are electrical and water hook ups at, or just adjacent to, each slip - something the other marina does not offer. All of the staff I have come in contact with (front desk, sales, Lakeside Grill, and maintenance) have all been very professional, courteous, and helpful. Parking could become a problem if we didn't drive a big truck, which it makes it easy for us to get down to the gravel lot, but I have been told by the manager that they are paving the gravel lot in a few months. Another huge bonus is that it is about 10 minutes closer to Tulsa! For the very little difference in cost from the other Skiatook marina there isn't a question on where to dock your boat! I have read the other review for this marina on Yelp and it seems the individual who left the review may have been confused.

My friend slipped and fell, hurt her arm and burned her legs on that bear metal . Those things needed to be replaced long time ago. They did not want to complain about it, because they had problems with management before and nothing was done to fix it. But I say it's not a safe place to go or keep your boat at.

At the center, a nice sized pond and an open area for play. As parks go, I enjoyed my walk this afternoon here despite the wind and rain. Keep to the side of the trail and try to keep your eye out for bicycles as there is definite debate as to who has the right of way (Hint: it's the pedestrians but when your handlebar hits someone and you dump into the road, it's too late.) Playgrounds, picnic tables under a huge picnic pavilion, a basketball court and a disk golf course round out the other goings on here. Oh, and a dog park.
