This is a dog friendly park that had a number of walking trails and tables for fun! We went to see the leaves change and we were pleasantly surprised with all of the trees here! It backs up to an "ancient forest"! Everything was easy to find and there were a few parks buildings with easy access to facilities if needed. It appears to be a nice lake as well, even though we didnt do much beyond enjoying the view while hiking!

Ranger's Trail. It took us an hour, had nice views. We are by no means hikers, so anyone can do it.

We usually go to Robber's Cave each year but we found Keystone on Groupon. We spent $103.00 for two nights during off season. The check-in was quick and easy. They have a cute gift shop with some easily forgotten about groceries. Our first impression of the cabin was- holy cow it is so clean!! Robber's Cave never smells or looks so clean. These rooms feel nice and you don't have to worry about anything. They have everything you need in the kitchen and we didn't have to buy anything additional besides paper towels. We climbed down to the lake as soon as we got here and it was gorgeous. Barely any trash, which is unavoidable with jerks who cannot clean up after themselves. As far as things to do on-site: not so much. It is off season, so we totally understand. We still enjoyed the views and saw five different species of birds. Sand Springs has great grocery stores if you want to make dinner like we did, and fast food places if that's your gig. Tulsa is a quick drive if you're looking for something a little fancier for entertainment. We highly enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful area. Would loved to have had a boat to go exploring! There are parking places close to the water, which is great for us older folks that can't walk too far. The whole area is a nice setting. The camping areas are well set up, from tent to motor home

Had a wonderful time glamping at the paradise cottage at keystone lake. Will definitely be coming back!

My friend and I have been trying to visit all 34 Oklahoma State Parks. Keystone State Park is great because it is the closest park to the city of Tulsa. Highlights include a closed state park that you can still access called Walnut Creek. There are great hammocking spots right along the beach. The Keystone Ancient Forest is also great. I recommend following them on Facebook so that you can catch an open hike day. Make sure you grab a state park passport and a sticker from the office so that you can mark this one off your list!

I guess by Okie standards this is a great place to swim and camp. I come from New England and camp in the white mountains and am used to Crystal clear water and sandy beaches. This location was mostly quiet until more local cowboys showed up liquored up more than jack sparrow (pirates of the Caribbean)...the were loud and rude...we slowly backed away and got the neck out as we heard the banjo music playing. All in all it was clean and refreshing!

This is a great park for introducing small children to camping and hiking! It is very clean, we saw park staff cleaning bathrooms and cutting the grass and weeds along the campsites. There was also a park ranger that patrolled the area and drove around quite often. We camped (with an RV and tent) at the lower lake country in the green country area. When the park is busy, you will have close neighbors. During the weekdays we were completely on our own and it was great! If you choose this area you will have trees for shade and be close to both hiking trails, the swimming area, and a playground. The playground was modern with swings, round about things and stuff to climb. The swim area is rocky, but I would take rocky over broken glass any day. There was no broken glass to be seen here...yay! There are picnic tables and if you forgot your floatation device there are some there. The two hiking trails are very easy, great for beginner hikers. The Deer Trail is gravel and very flat. If you needed, you could use a stroller in this trail. The Ranger trail, which has an entrance at the visitor/gift store, is easy with a few rocky areas. This trail also has a small children's pond where the young ones can learn to fish. If you want harder trails, ask the rangers in the information center for recommendations, I know there are some nice ones in the nearby areas of this park. Overall, we enjoyed our time here.

Love this place for paddling, this is our first time to camp in a tent. The spots are great overlooking the lake, and the power boats are not too noisy. We camped at Red Carpet Country. Pros: nice, windy, shady, great view of the lake, clean toilets and showers Cons: rough access to the lake, noisy neighbors (can't be helped, they were frat kids and one was from "back east????), not a lot of wood to gather

The view from our site. Not too shabby.

There are also walking trails that wind throughout the park and along the river! One of my favorite things about the play areas is that towards the back of the park there is a playground specifically designed for younger children ages 2-5 years old! Although with supervision a one year old could easily play on this as well. This is great because a lot of typical playgrounds can be unsafe for younger children and more likely for an accident to happen. Next to this particular playground there is one designed for older children ages 5-12, so for anyone with multiple children they can play on the appropriate set and not get bored. Another great thing I noticed about the playgrounds, they have padded artificial grass underneath and around them versus the typical wood chips or rocks!

There is a nest that resides in the park and you can often see them flying overhead. The park contains so many trees! Which make you feel like your in nature. The park also has newly installed picnic tables. It just really is a nice place to have near by. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because there is no dog park.

*** Review is during Covid-19 ***…read more Going through pictures in my phone and realized I never posted this from when I went in the late summer! This is a nice place for a calm little stroll. There's no playground area or super large/ significant grassy areas to spread out for typical park activities, so it really is mostly for walking around. The main focus, then, is the fountain and pond. Then it's kind of little paths going around it. I really like how there are different levels, so you can be down closer to the pond or higher up. I also think it makes it that much more visually appealing. The paths and levels are made out of large brown stones which I think looks good. There's also some plants around - I think they are called cats tails? Don't quote me on that haha. There are a good amount of benches for sitting spread through the perimeter of the pond. There's also a deck sort of area nearer to the fountain. It looks nice, but could DEFINITELY use a clean up. There was quite a bit of trash, particularly near/ caught in the deck part. It wasn't a completely disgusting amount, but definitely noticeable. To be fair, while I was walking around a didn't see a SINGLE trash can. How can it stay clean when trash cans aren't provided?! This is the main reason for not being 5 stars. If it were cleaned up and then added some trash cans to prevent it getting so trashy again in the future, it'd be great! I saved my favorite thing for last: the view!!! The entire Tulsa skyline isn't visible, but you can see part of it, plus a highway bridge, which is a really cool backdrop in my opinion. Overall it's also cool that there's this semi-tucked away park (though not really the super grassy open kind as mentioned) in a more downtown/ urban area. In fact, it's just a walk across the street to some coffee shops, restaurants, etc.
