This park recently underwent a major remodel, and I couldn't believe the improvements!…read more The park is very spread out with 3-4 different play areas and a splash pad scattered around soccer and baseball/softball fields. There are also walking trails that wind throughout the park and along the river! One of my favorite things about the play areas is that towards the back of the park there is a playground specifically designed for younger children ages 2-5 years old! Although with supervision a one year old could easily play on this as well. This is great because a lot of typical playgrounds can be unsafe for younger children and more likely for an accident to happen. Next to this particular playground there is one designed for older children ages 5-12, so for anyone with multiple children they can play on the appropriate set and not get bored. Another great thing I noticed about the playgrounds, they have padded artificial grass underneath and around them versus the typical wood chips or rocks!

Case Community Park Park is absolutely beautiful!! Newly remodeled. In the summer Case Community center has outdoor movies with popcorn! The trail is very scenic and most of the trail runs along views of the river. My favorite part is to find the bald eagles. There is a nest that resides in the park and you can often see them flying overhead. The park contains so many trees! Which make you feel like your in nature. The park also has newly installed picnic tables. It just really is a nice place to have near by. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because there is no dog park.

I bring my binoculars and always spot a great variety of birds. The trees are absolutely stunning... there are over 100 species of trees. Honestly... it's a little escape from a hectic world. It's the perfect place to bring a book, find your spot, and just relax for a while. Whether you're looking to unwind, enjoy nature, or have a quiet moment to yourself...this park is a hidden gem that never disappoints. Perfect for getting in your steps too! I like to go early morning before it gets too hot or busy. Starting in May they have free canoe rentals!! They also have very good food. Love their fresh fruit cups which they prepare every morning daily, their sandwiches are fresh and very good! I've also had their ice cream and it's delicious. When you first walk into the main building, you can check out chess pieces and other games. Some of the tables have the chessboard design printed on them. Perfect for getting your chess game on. Every Wednesday and Sunday, you can bring your dog. Over at the boathouse on the bottom floor they have a little museum called "Drawers of curiosity." Hard to believe The Gathering Place doesn't charge an entrance fee!! It's just simply amazing!
