My kids and I started karate classes at Stillwater Martial Arts in February of 2014. My kids had been interested in taking Karate for many years and I decided to check out this school because of the good things I had heard about it from friends. When I found out that if I signed up all my kids for Karate I could take classes too for free I jumped on the chance. I had been in the process of losing a lot of weight (still am!) and I was looking for fun ways to stay active. The instructors are knowledgeable and caring. My fellow classmates in the adult classes have been welcoming as well. I have never felt out of place in this school either due to my age or my limitations caused by my weight. I feel like I have made a lot of progress toward my health goals since beginning classes here and I have done it while having fun!. My kids love it too. read more

I absolutely love taking classes at Stillwater Martial Arts. I've only been here for a couple of months, but I already feel like I've learned a ton. The classes teach so much more than just punching and kicking things (although I'm definitely learning that as well), from self-defense in real-life scenarios to character development to even a little bit of grappling/ground defense. The instructors are all very friendly and approachable, and make it a point to offer guidance when necessary without being critical. The students and parents all interact like a giant family, and I've never seen any kind of disputes or "cliques" among the members. My son has been going to Stillwater Martial Arts for 3 years know the staff is great keeps the kids interest up and with every day dealing with the kids in the after school program plus summer camp.
