My first channel kitty. It was about 34 degrees with 20mph gusts. A very cold night lol.

While I'm still not a huge fan of the place I do like it better in the cooler months when there is less bug activity. I'm thankful I don't live in another country where spiders are 20x the size of the ones here lol. I never fish inside. I don't care if it's 38 degrees outside with 15mph winds. I'm just not interested in fishing in there. I like the dock and I've caught tons of crappie and a nice channel kitty here. I'm more into trout fishing but I am excited for the up and coming months when the crappie are bigger and biting is nonstop. When it's cold and windy it can be challenging but I still enjoy myself 9/10 times. The bathrooms are not as well maintained as before. No running water in the sink - faucet is broken. That is just pathetic. Fix that, maintain the cleanliness of the inside dock house and maybe in a few months my rating will go up. I'm there once a week now so it would be nice to see some improvements.

It's been years since I've been camping because I like my bed and running water, but I wouldn't mind camping here. I like how all the camp sites are separated and each one has a parking spot, a little designated area to set up camp, a fire pit and a grill. The pavilions are wheelchair accessible and even many of the camp sites that I saw wouldn't be too hard for someone in a wheelchair. It was quiet and peaceful. Not a lot of traffic driving around or loud people. It looked clean; I only saw a few pieces of trash that had obviously just blown out of the trash can. The restroom was ok. It had spider webs and things like that but it's at a lake so I didn't expect it to be a 5 star bathroom. The prices to get in are high. I was there for about two hours and had to show the ticket stub so I didn't have to pay another $7 each time I wanted to go into another entrance.

Great lake for family fun. The Scissortail camp site is shaded and close to the water. Water is beautiful and not crowded.

This lake does not have a marina, the electricity did not work for our campsite, the customer service was awful.

When my sister and I decided to go to…read moreOklahoma State University we have had graduation parties and family member bring their RV's and stay here since 2014. Our spot would always be at pine grove and would go fishing in their crappie pond and were thrilled when they added the new sand beach. Now in 2025, they have made our spot (Pine Grove) where me and many other families have always taken our spring break, fall break and other week vacations at and "annual only site" and closed it off. We thought okay that sucks but we can try out the others sites. We decided to try out Beaver Cove and that has been a MAJOR disappointment. The sites look like they have not been tidied up in who knows how long and their bathrooms are unclean and do not have any soap ever! No decent swimming/fishing areas around it. And ticks everywhere! You would figure if they decided to close off pine grove they would fix up the non-annual spots but no! Seems to be more about the money considering there are more annual spots than non-annual and they are better taken care of. After 11 years of camping here we have decided to look elsewhere to camp. So so so disappointed!!!!
