Yes, the wods are tough and challenging. They definitely deliver on a well needed ass kicking every now and then. But what I love the most about RDCF is the community. Everyone is always warmly welcomed and we all quickly become like family. The coaches are all incredible as well. Every workout, no matter who is coaching, they show how much they care about everyone there. They put the time in to challenge you, help you achieve your goals but also keep you safe. Learning form is so important here and the coaches are beyond awesome at helping you improve if you're willing to put the work in. They help cater the workouts to meet whatever fitness level you're at to make sure you get the most out of your workout while also staying safe. I remember being terrified to walk in the door my first time. Being a petite woman with little fitness experience, I was so scared that I was walking into a class full of monster gym rats. I was completely wrong. There are of course some very fit people that attend and are amazingly inspiring but mostly, we're your everyday people coming in from all walks of life and ages just looking to better ourselves and stay healthy. The Stillwater YMCA has gone through extensive renovations over the past year and a half. They were…read morerecently taken over by the Greater Oklahoma City YMCA. This organization runs many of the YMCAs outside of Oklahoma City including the Mitch Park YMCA in Edmond. This has really given the Stillwater Family YMCA more structure and programming.The pool has been completely overhauled, new classes are being offered and all of the locker rooms have been remodeled. Childcare is available during certain hours so that parents can work out without expensive babysitters. The facility has added a youth room with AirHockey, Foos ball and other activities that provide fun. A new spin room provides classes and a fun and colorful setting. Children's sports have been greatly reduced in price often only requiring a fee for the Jersey required if you are a member. The professionalism of the staff has greatly increased. There are many new employees who are dressed and YMCA apparel, where are name tags, and I am truly impressed with the lifeguards on staff. If you didn't like the Y before 2018, I suggest that you give it a second chance. There have been many great changes and I am please to be a member of the organization.

You'll find car tires and concrete in the low flowing creek. You might even catch a draft of El Tapatio's dumpster along the paved trail. But still, the pool is clean, big, and full of fun options, the trail bends along the creek and has little wandering trails that lead off, and that playground is pretty sweet (I'd be pretty happy with that as a kid...or even now). My son trained here in Krav and jujitsu for over 6 years and was his highest ranked minor student…read more Thousands of dollars in tuition, gear, belts, etc. and 6+ years of my sons hard work to find out the belts are not registered and means nothing outside of this school. This means my son is having to start at the white belt level again. The Krav classes follow no curriculum what so ever. So every time a new student arrives the whole class starts completely over to the basics. So you never really get past the basics in class because of the turnover rate and him catering to new students. The belts are not included in the tuition they have to be paid for every rank test along with a rank day t shirt. He starts training all the students all the same moves about 3 weeks before the rank test so they're not tested on knowledge for their actual rank. He makes you buy an $180 basic gi that's his "brand" that he only pays $60 for. (I only know this because when he made the all jiu jitsu students buy the gi he spent the money and I had to loan him the money so he could place the order. The whole time while everybody was waiting for they're stuff and he was blaming the manufacturer in Pakistan then blaming the shipping company to tariffs for it taking so long to get the order wasn't even placed because he spent the funds even though he charged 3x his price.) Which whatever he can charge whatever but it's a very basic gi that's no where near the quality of a Gracie gi that's roughly the same price that he sold me a month before making me buy his gi. (He's dishonest and has no problem lying to parents) He likes to talk about parents and the students behind their backs (very derogatory). He shames and guilts students in class. He thinks your life and family should revolve around his classes. Guilting and shaming students when they can't attend class for other activities whether it be baseball FFA or whatever. He lives in his office in the school and relies on his mother to get by day from day (he's about 60yo), but wants to preach to students about life lessons (not a shining example of self respect and and discipline that he preaches). He does put on a good act for parents with big talk and plans but NEVER follows through. There's really so much more but this review is long enough and I doubt you read it to the end if you did maybe you'll be smart enough to do the research before going here like I wasn't.

At the time of writing this, they've appeared in the NCAA tournament 29 times. That's more than programs like Maryland (28), Michigan (27), NC State (25), Wisconsin (25), Virginia (24), and Florida (21). All of those schools have won at least one NCAA tournament championship. Oklahoma State's 29 appearances is also more than Xavier (28), Gonzaga (23), and Houston (22), schools arguably known more for their basketball prowess over the past few decades than Oklahoma State. I associate Oklahoma State basketball with Eddie Sutton. Sutton played for Oklahoma State from 1955 to 1958 and later went on to become the team's head coach from 1990 to 2006 after stops at a few respectable programs: Creighton, Arkansas, and Kentucky. Sutton led Arkansas, Kentucky, and Oklahoma State to numerous NCAA tournament appearances. In his 16 seasons in Stillwater, Sutton led the Cowboys to 13 NCAA tournament appearances including two trips to the Final Four (1995, 2004) plus an Elite Eight appearance (2000) and three Sweet 16 appearances (1991, 1992, 2005). As a Georgia Tech alum and longtime Yellow Jacket men's basketball fan and season ticket holder, I'll never forget our 2004 Final Four game against Oklahoma State. For Tech, it was the greatest game in program history. For Oklahoma State, it was a heartbreaker. The 2003-04 Oklahoma State team was led by future NBA players Tony Allen (who won an NBA championship with the Boston Celtics in 2008), John Lucas III, and Joey Graham. The Final Four was in San Antonio that year. To date, that Final Four was both schools' last appearance in the Final Four. Along with the aforementioned Allen, Lucas, and Graham, other notable players who've suited up in the orange and black include two-time NBA All-Defensive First Teamer Marcus Smart, New York Knicks great John Starks, "Big Country" Bryant Reeves, 2001 NBA Slam Dunk Champion Desmond Mason, and 2010 Consensus Second-Team All-American and Big 12 Player of the Year James Anderson. I remember James Anderson from the 2010 NCAA tournament when Oklahoma State and Georgia Tech met again. Sometimes in life, you come across a feel good story, when you hear the trials and obstacles…read moreovercome to be a success story, it warms your heart. And although they are rare...but you as an outside observer can appreciate and connect with the underdog. And that's what I'd like to talk about beginning this intro to Lost Creek Safari... I discovered it completely out of nowhere while passing through Stillwater, Oklahoma. I initially arrived in Stillwater to see Oklahoma State's football stadium. And when I stumbled upon Lost Creek Safari from Google Maps, I decided to stay an extra day and check out this animal rescue/sanctuary. Stepping on the grounds, I was immediately introduced to Trevor, the owner, and he shared his background, talked about how this animal farm used to be in dire straits and the animals were suffering. Trevor initially came to Stillwater, OK on a wrestling scholarship for school, but found his passion and ultimate destiny to help save this Lost Creek Safari. Trevor dove head first into changing everything about the old farm and the poor conditions. Fast forward a few years later and although Trevor says there's still more goals to achieve, I could sense what tremendous pride he had in his accomplishments so far, despite all the risks and costs associated in this practically full time, 24/7 job. But the hard work and dividends appear to be paying off. Here's what you can expect out of a visit to Lost Creek Safari... According to Trevor's website lostcreeksafari.com, there are "baboons, mini zebu, deer, emus, monkeys, otters, anteaters, foxes, peacocks, llamas and lemurs"....just to name a few. Price of entry is $11, and they have separate fees for feeding and interacting with whatever animals you may be interested in seeing. But, for an extra $11 and a total of $22, you can have the entire package! This includes, according to their website..."admission, feed cup, parakeet stick, lemur feeding, water buffalo feeding, camel feeding, reptile barn entry, baby kangaroo/wallaby encounter, and baby goat encounter. This All-Inclusive Package is what I purchased and was well worth it. Just strolling the grounds, I felt transported away to a better place. Everything is organized and well maintained. You could sense there was a tremendous amount of thought and effort put into accommodating guests. I was instructed to start at the parakeet enclosure where the birds flew onto my hand and ate from a feeding stick I was holding. Then...the remainder of the experience was simple by following along a paved pathway and meeting and greeting the residents here on the farm. Most of the animals can be fed, but some were off limits due to special diets. The lemurs were exciting to feed. The camel was wonderful saying hello to. The water buffalo was friendly. You pass by baby goats and enter their playpen to hang out with them. Next was a charming adolescent deer who was very approachable. Cows anxiously waited to say hello and be fed. Ostriches optimistically eat from your hands if you don't mind a little pecking. More goats and donkeys to say hi to before approaching the reptile enclosure. This is inside and you can hold a snake around you for picture taking. They have all sorts of different species like lizards, iguanas and snakes from different continents. Before departing the reptile enclosure it was thrilling having the chance to hold a baby kangaroo wallaby. Born a few weeks ago, it was adorable. Then, it was returning on the pathway back to the start. I still had feed in my cup and gave the animals the remainder of my leftovers. Back in the front entrance was a small gift shop. I was totally impressed with my time here and took home a t-shirt. Finally, funny sort of how things came full circle. Trevor returned to greet me goodbye and say farewell. I told him how inspiring his story was. And, I just thanked him for revealing who he was and what motivates him to maintain a beautiful rescue sanctuary and giving back to so many animals. In my opinion, someone like Trevor is called a hero. There's not many of them out there. If you ever doubt kindness or lose belief, then come visit Lost Creek Safari in Stillwater, Oklahoma. I think you'll find Trevor's farm a beacon of hope. If you put your heart and soul into something you're passionate about, you can make a positive impact in this world.

The feeding of the deer always favorite. Some touching or feeding no longer allowed. Safety first the way it should be. Best thing was holding the kangaroo ! They have a place to get drinks and also to wash hands. Looked like now just out houses to use . Other than that ,nice place to take the kids of all ages. So much closer to animals. Still not alot of shade so go early and prepared. We turn on Western in Stillwater and takes you straight until you turn at lost Creek sign on left. Then just a short way.
