There's a little lake that has geeses, swans, fishes, & turtles. A lot of folks are picnicking. Some shaded areas. There was a street vendor roaming around. There's slight incline if you plan to do some walking but there is some paved paths where I did see folks walking around. There are poop along the path and also on the grass. This is wonderful park to have in the neighborhood. Wished I lived a bit closer and wished we came prepared with a picnic blanket. Tips: -Small parking lot. -Restroom available. -Basketball courts. -Small playground with 2 swings.

Very open to the community and lots of families and all ages are at this park. It's not a very big park in itself, maybe about 2 miles all around, but there are different trails you can walk to from this entrance. It's not a loud park, even with a lot of people there it seems. Very relaxing and enjoyable. There is limited parking in the parking lot, but you can also park on the curb. Just check out the street parking times. There are city parking times where you're not to park there, unless collecting parking tickets is your thing.

They have a shower and restrooms which was very nice and convenient: pretty clean when we first arrived but over the course of the weekend one of the toilets got clogged and some people would really take their time in the SINGLE COMMUNAL shower. There's a lake nearby with jet ski rentals a lots of families playing in the water which is really nice. I do agree with the other reviews that people don't really follow the nighttime curfew here. We heard people singing karaoke and being loud. Overall we had a nice experience! Despite the downsides we still had a fun time. I would consider coming back here if I were to go camping again.

The worse nightmare! Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Management and Conditions at Lake Perris…read moreCampground To: California Department of Parks and Recreation Superintendent John Rowe Inland Empire District Superintendent Kelly Elliott Dear Superintendent Rowe, Superintendent Elliott, and the California Department of Parks and Recreation, I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding my recent experience at Lake Perris Campground. The numerous issues we encountered demonstrate a lack of proper management, poor customer service, and unacceptable campground conditions. Upon our arrival, Joselyn Ortiz, who identified herself as the campground manager, informed us that our campsite reservation had been canceled. We never received any notification of the cancellation by email, phone, or mail. Furthermore, no documentation or proof of a refund or reimbursement was provided. This situation caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience after we had already traveled to the campground. In addition, the campground appeared to be overbooked and poorly managed. Throughout our stay, we experienced the following issues: Campgrounds appeared overcrowded, with campsites placed extremely close together, leaving little to no privacy. Excessive noise from loud parties continued without intervention. Park staff and rangers were not visibly present to enforce campground rules or maintain order. Dogs barked continuously, disturbing campers. Children were left unattended and entered other campers' sites without supervision. Restrooms were dirty and not maintained to an acceptable standard. Trash was scattered along the shoreline and beach areas, creating an unsanitary environment and negatively impacting the natural beauty of the park. Wildlife, including mice, raccoons, and squirrels, repeatedly accessed campers' food due to poor wildlife management. Flying cockroaches were present around the campground. Large numbers of bees were concentrated near the shoreline trees, creating potential safety concerns for visitors, especially those with allergies. These conditions did not meet the standards that visitors should reasonably expect from a California State Park. We paid for a safe, clean, and enjoyable camping experience but instead encountered poor management, inadequate maintenance, and insufficient enforcement of campground regulations.

I'll give this place a strong 3.75 to 4.0 stars. And when compared to all other locations in the…read morearea, this would be easiest location for most people to discover, hike walk or jog and Enjoy. You must arrive early. As people are already taken up slots in the parking lot as early as 630am. Now, super easy to park on the side of the road, as there are many signs against it and many areas that are welcomed. By 8am, the streets were getting filled, as there are many outlets that lead to the river and many places where on can just the views, without the hike. So please get your 5 dollar windows taken for parking- the local 76 station is a place where you are able to. The hike is self explanatory, follow the people, which you will see many many hikers. And contrary to what people say, it is not an easy hike. You will need to be prepared for a 1.5 mile walk up and 1.5 miles back. It is a super rocky trail. Lots of loose rocks , once on the upper trail, boulders get bigger, the small cascades of water can make the area slippery. You will need to extend your limbs to reach up and pull yourself up. Not for small children and not for the elderly. The only thing here that I had a distaste for was the littering and the graffiti. Just the stupidity of humans not picking up their trash or painting moronic signs on rocks. Made it less intriguing... made it comical that people can be such idiots. The downhill trail becomes dangerous, as people can slip or fall and amid some cliffs that surround the area, being careful is at the most important danger. The area is accessible by various routes. The fantastic point here would be the river, which is wide, always tuburlant but not deep. Some area as 1ft ...other areas can reach 3 feet. The picnic area and the small rest stop are great stop points. The water is crystal clear, cold and just majestic. Bring appropriate foot wear, bring water and snacks and make sure you are physically fit. The waterfall is high...over 100ft. Standing under the falls can be refreshing, the cold waters offering an unexpected cold shiver, the light mist and the gaze of the falls can be spectacular. The river extends past the small pits top bonita falls bathroom and parking...next down the road is the picnic area...which is basically one or two tables for a get together, best to just visit the river and enjoy the stream... and finally the large parking lot..from here you can saddle the edge of the river, enjoy it, have a get together and from there, the Rover twist and turns to another southerner point where long lines of cars gather and can be accessed by the public and by foot. Gentle streams and relaxing moments. Over all, a good small hike with options for picnics and stream wading. Please, no graffiti and pick after yourself- let's keep nature clean!

About 10 years ago I went in there to see if I could get some ice from they have a little store. The girl was so unfriendly and rude to us and others in that store to peopleat that time I was shocked. I never went back until today when me and my worker I've been noticing that there is a cafe there now. Apparently the pastramis there are really good, as we heard they were the same people who ran the similar restaurant in Moreno valley which we used to go to regularly. We are two over-60 clean cut guys. We're not a couple of bums. Although no one should ever judge a book by its cover. We decided to pull in and give it a shot. We had no idea where the restaurant was located. We got you the front gate and out comes this old heavy guy with a pigtail and immediately showed a bad attitude. We asked him where the restaurant was because we wanted to go there. He CLEARLY and rudely said, "Straight ahead!" (There were no signs anywhere showing where the restaurant is...). He said "Straight ahead" in a very nasty way (like he really wanted to say, "Straight ahead, you morons). I am an engineer/business owner and my friend is an electrician---we're not dummies. Straight ahead means drive straight ahead. So we did about 200 ft. So he comes running out of the guard gate yelling at us to "Get the f*** out of there", waving his hands aggressively, like we did something illegal or wrong. We turned the van around around and told him calmly, "We can't hear you clearly with our windows up and you did tell us to 'go straight up')", and that's when we heared him swearing at us. Rather than say nicely, "I apologize, Sits, I should have been clear that the restaurant is to the left, not straight ahead". Instead, he went on some kind of psychopathic (?) rampage, telling us to "Get the f*** off his property". I wish I would have videotaped this---it would be all over YouTube! Next time I will have my car video recorder on. We never swore and we were polite. Next time we will tape it to show you the owners and the restaurant. And we will be back! He refused to tell us where The Cafe restaurant was, so we left for fear of our lives (literally). We pulled over on Oak Valley/ San Timoteo and called the restaurant owner and also the onsite temporary manager girl who answered the phone. She said to call the general manager tomorrow and said she was very disappointed in that type of behavior on the part of the front greeter, our first and only impression. The restaurant owner was very sympathetic, upset, and shocked that he is turning away customers. She said that this fellow was possibly substituting the front gate for today. She expressed the same shock because her and her husband are trying to run a restaurant that is independent of, but located in fisherman's retreat. She's put signs on Oak Valley Road telling people to come on into the cafe. I would hate to be in their shoes and have this kind of a threatening monster turning people away from their business. No matter what happens, this has put a very negative dent on this entire facility and I hope this Yelp review (and the Google review) help change this place. I think the restaurant Cafe at this point can demand that that person not be employed at that facility. What kind of facility puts that kind of a monster as the point first person that people meet. What happens behind the scenes that nobody hears about or sees? Unbelievable. Again, let me describe the guy: he was portly, about 5 ft 9, late 50's (?), he had a braided hair pigtail hanging out of his hat (not professional). No greeting was done initially, such as "Welcome. How can I help you." Just a curt "straight ahead" sarcastic attitude followed by a bunch of obscenities, and throwing us out because HE directed us in the wrong direction. Unbelievable!!! I feel so sorry for that restaurant having to have a monster like this in the front entry. Being local nearby residents, we may try to go back to the cafe and we WILL videotape everything from our car camera this time for the sake of showing the management and the restaurant, if it turns out badly again. I can't imagine how this guy treats Black people, disabled, elderly, or Hispanic people. By the way, the girl that answered the phone told me that she thinks he is the guy that goes around checking people's entry tickets and stuff. It would scare me to think this guy is running around that place at night. I mean this is not normal behavior by any stretch of the imagination. If it were my business, he would be terminated the next hour. This is a business, not his personal domain.
