This review is for the beach. After our day trip hiking the Hocking Hills on a hot day in August, my husband and I decided to unwind a little at this nearby beach. It's only about 10 miles from HH. The beach area is a little small and right off a kinda busy road, but it does serve its purpose in allowing you to dip in, cool off and relax. The beach was far less crowded in comparison to HH which we really appreciated. The vibes were very laid back. I get the feeling this is more of a locals place since all the tourists spend their time at Hocking. Hocking doesn't have a beach so this is where you need to go if you are looking for one during your trip. As a side note Hocking DOES have places for you to get in the water although its not technically allowed and people do it anyway. I feel as though many people just don't know this beach is so close and overlook it! Overall, It was a nice way to end our day before the 3 hour drive home. read more
