The twenty minute breaks are good, it gives you time to rest or take a needed break from the water and check to make sure everyone is accounted for. The water is absolutely beautiful, it is so clear for a lake. If you like to camp for a week end they provide a area for that. I can remember making a lot of memorable times at Lake Hudson and hope they continue to run it the way they do. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to enjoy a great day in a very safe environment.

I loved that the kids obstacle course was in the shallow end where it was deep enough for them to jump off but shallow enough for me to stand. The bigger one / adult obstacle course was a little challenging but super fun too! I love that they require a break for guards / everyone gets out of the water. As a lifeguard myself, and a parent, I love it! It was a great reminder to re-apply sunscreen, drink water, have a snack, etc. We look forward to next summer!

Trash receptacles and benches at every other hole, with pro and regular tees for most. Some long shots with gorgeous views of open grass/prairie and short technical shots in the woods. Users of the course seem to be good about using the honor system to pay $2/round and picking up their own trash. VERY nice and clean portapotty at the lot - course is mowed regularly. Help keep it that way and pay :) We call this course "church" because it is the most peaceful/inspiring way I can imagine to spend our Sunday mornings. We've met nothing but good people out there!

At that point I had my dogs in tow and could not leave them in the car (too hot) so I let the written confirmation from the office staff supersede the signage and took them onto the sand. It was not very crowded and so we were able to unobtrusively occupy a little corner and not bother / interact with other beach goers. None of them seemed to mind our presence. The beach itself is super duper pleasant! Loved our day there. Just wish it were easier to know how to follow the rules!

Lake Logan is just south of town. It's on the other side of Route 33 and down a twisting road. The…read morelake itself looks nice with clean water. It just doesn't have much going on here. There is a small older looking marina. If you're going to or coming from Hocking Hills you likely will go right past it. It's a pretty good size lake. There's a couple areas for parking. One is along Route 664 at the dam. There's a small hill to climb to get to the beach, which isn't too dirty looking. Farther up is another entrance. This is where to find the boat launching ramp. It's next to the marina. The marina sells boating supplies and snacks. It's not fantastic but it's good for this area. It doesn't get too many tourists here. Several restaurants are located between the lake and highway.

This is a pretty area that offers a lake for water-based recreation (boating, fishing, a swimming…read morebeach, plus ice fishing when conditions allow during the winter) and woodlands to enjoy. There are three trails, varying in length from the 0.5 mile Cherry Tree Trail to the 3.5 mile Buckeye Trail. There's a nice looking camping area with both electric and nonelectric sites, some of which have great views of the lake and easy boat access for kayaks/canoes/etc., and a fun playground fro the kids. There are some nice picnic areas with tables and benches available in scenic areas. The one we used also had a great shelterhouse with several tables available and was reservable, though there were no events at the time of our visit. Very nice park!

We had a hard time finding a map that had the actual mileage of each trail. We decided to take the white pine trail to vista point and then back down the thunderbunny trail. We found way but the trail splits a lot and is unmarked at points. The trail is also not blazed. We stopped right after a rain so the lake had a beautiful fog covering it.

Like the name of the park suggests, this is a very sensory-friendly park, and there are nature stations set up all around where you can use your senses to explore. There is also a short, paved trail that goes around the park, which is wide and smooth enough for strollers and wheelchairs. The trail goes by a creek, which is nice. As of right now, this is the only sensory-friendly park in the state of Ohio! It's definitely worth a visit.

Along the path are a variety of interactive stations that are also designed to be accessible. If you start near the entry sign, you'll find a Little Free Library, which, on our recent visit, was loaded with a lot of great kids options. Just ahead is a variety of benches and a little music garden, featuring musical instruments that can be played, and you can also interact with the Rough Bark Tactile Display to learn more about different tree barks. A little further down are the cutest animal looking instruments that can also be used. As you continue down the path, you find a swingset with a variety of swings that include both traditional and accessible options. There's a nice little shaded bench area with information about the creek, Fetter's Run, that can be seen from the location. As you proceed along, a very exciting find is the Treehouse, which is built within the forest trees as opposed to up in one, which allows a wheelchair ramp to make it accessible. This overlooks the creek and has things to explore, like neat nature art and a second floor (not accessible) with a fire pole. At the end of the path is a shelter house with picnic tables and nearby grills. Most, if not all, of the signage included Braille translations, as well. There is a large parking lot here, but I do note that this is located behind a school, so I'm not sure how that would affect parking for a visit during a school day.
