The online pictures created expectations that simply were not met when we arrived. To make matters worse, campsites were not clearly labeled, which resulted in another camper taking our reserved site. Management was very disorganized and, instead of taking responsibility and resolving issues efficiently, seemed to have an excuse for everything. The site we were ultimately assigned was basically a mud pit and not suitable for the premium price we paid. Many of the amenities advertised were either under construction or unavailable during our stay, yet this was not adequately communicated beforehand. We chose this campground and paid the higher rates expecting the advertised experience, but what we received fell far short. For the amount of money spent, this campground was simply not worth it. Hocking Hills itself is beautiful, but we left feeling frustrated and misled. Unfortunately, we will not be returning and cannot recommend this campground to others.

You have to pay for an additional car (they only allow one at a site), price of wood is higher than other places and you have to pay to do the swimming obstacle course. False advertisement for pool on the premises. Shower house on a Friday evening was ridiculous. The first door was locked to a shower, second one shower head didn't work, and the 4th was draining improperly, leaving one working shower. Would not recommend at all.

The cabin was small, cozy and spotlessly clean - we had a great time and loved the hot tub and hiking the surrounding area. Loved how close it was to all the major attractions and hiking spots - and liked the fact that there's no cell service or Internet so it's truly a tech-free getaway. This time, we came down for some winter hiking and stayed in cabin #3. We loved it even more! Slightly bigger with a separate upstairs loft bedroom that our daughter just LOVED. I don't know how Cindy and her team of cleaning elves keep these cabins so spotless - truly cleaner than home! Loved the slightly larger kitchen in #3 and adorable eat-in breakfast nook. We hiked down to Ash Cave and Cedar Falls and enjoyed the gorgeous frozen waterfalls even without any snow in sight. This is a little slice of heaven - so close to Columbus, so pet friendly and SUCH a true getaway deep in the heart of natural beauty. We'll be back!

We enjoyed sitting around the fire pit roasting marshmallows for s'mores. More towels would have been nice.

So happy we stumbled upon this little campground. Out of all the campgrounds we visited this summer (including Jellystone in Mt. Gilead), this was the kids favorite. I felt safe letting them ride their bikes and play at the playground. It is close to anything you'd need and about a 25 minute drive to Old Man's Cave. We also had a small issue (which turned into a non-issue) in the beginning with someone else plugged into our 30 amp and the lady at the office couldn't have been nicer and took care of everything right away. Even though she was responsive, that should never have happened. The people occupying our site were rude and refused to leave despite us showing our confirmation--resolving that mess took two exhausting hours. The toilet was disgusting, clearly hadn't been cleaned in ages. We had to hold it all night and left first thing in the morning. Other sites might be better, but Leith Run was a nightmare. Never again.
