I love this library. Feels very open and has a good enough selection for most needs that one can find what they want. They do have some large rooms that I believe can be reserved. Bathrooms are really nice and always clean They have always been friendly and happy to help when needed. Parking is available outside or under the library but under is not well lit. Definitely try it out. read more

COVID TIMES : masks required for 5year old and older. They do provide masks at the entrance in case you don't have one. I'd say that most of King county libraries could easily get a 5 star reward because all the effort and sources they offer to each community. But this one in particular gets a 5 star because despite its a small location, you can find a variety of books, DVDs, magazines,etc,, their computers are always available (not too busy as other locations like Crossroads one), clean bathrooms, friendly staff, plenty of parking spaces. Located in a nice commercial area so you can have lunch, or a coffee, or boba tea while you're here. Also you will feel safe while visiting lake hills library. Sadly I've been in other KC libraries and I don't feel safe :( Right next to this library there's a daycare/school with Happy children running and screaming while playing outside , and yet they're not disrupting the library. I'm not complaining about the children, I'm just pointing out that library is well isolated from noises. Oh!! And while you're here take a look to the board that is right in the entrance "library information " because you can find the classes and events held in the coming days. Gahhhhh, a library in Bellevue is open for browsing! I had to call and double check when I read that the Lake Hills Library was open, as it's been way too long since I've been inside a library. It definitely felt good to be back, and am glad to have discovered this Lake Hills branch for the first time. With COVID-19 restrictions, the Lake Hills Library is only open every other hour, as they close the library every other hour for cleaning and sanitizing. I made sure to check the hours of when it was open and visited the first hour on a Saturday. There were a few people inside, and they do keep count of how many people enter. Fortunately, there was no line at the opening hour when I visited. Masks are required. This branch is smaller compared to others, but they have a good selection of books. I found a lot of best sellers here and everything in between. The fiction section isn't very large, but again, I definitely was able to find a stack to take home. As for the non-fiction section, there is more, given the range of topics. Towards the back of the library are where the children's books are. They have closed off all seating, tables, conference/study rooms and the area where magazines are due to COVID-19. Staff is there to help out at the reference desk, but you do self-check out, which is an easy process. An hour goes by so fast! This was my first time at the Lake Hills Library and since it's the only branch in Bellevue that's open for browsing, it won't be my last visit. I'm glad to know this library is here, located in a shopping center with eateries and plenty of parking around. I wouldn't mind spending another hour in search of books here again. read more

I love this library, even though it is quite small compare to other locations. By signing up library card, you can have so many great access to all the books, audios, computer, and printing service. This location has large windows which allows super good sunlights during the day. The meeting rooms are also large and pretty new. It is close to my place, so we come here a lot. It is also a great location for parents with small kids because they have an outside playground where you can have your kids have some fun. read more

NEW ADDRESS 15590 Lake Hills Blvd Bellevue, WA 98007 Given the economy, I am surprised that the Lake Hills library was even able to get built. It is in sharp contrast to the dodgy structures it fronts as part of the Lake Hills Shopping Center, which has seen better days. The new library is new, though it still feels like the satellite library of Bellevue. The old library a block away was comfortable, albeit small. This location does improve on it as there is a parking structure below the library, has study rooms and a classroom, plus the lighting is much more bright here. Though the selection here seems a bit limited, it has a decent foreign language collection which is good given the increasing amount of diversity in Bellevue. For me, it still feels like a community library as this place was quite full on a sunny Saturday afternoon that I visited. This is definitely needed to show justification that libraries are essential to the community in a time of budget cutting. Overall, I like my neighborhood library. It is cozy, is convenient and has long operating hours. read more

Love the library. This location is relatively small, has a parking garage underneath but very limited spots. Some computers for use, but depending on the time of day, will all be in use. Personally, I just come here to print stuff. Perks of being a KCLS card holder- free printing, up to 75 pages a week, however be mindful of how much you're printing and how busy it is, because there are only two printers and you may have to wait around for awhile. read more

I came here to avoid the heat of my place--uuuuuuuuuuuggggh. Nice 73 degree air here (I'm sitting near the thermostat, don't worry, I'm not that good). I wanted to take advantage of the free wifi. It's a little packed here (probably other people with the same idea). Earlier my internet was deathly slow because of another person next to me (I think) and when he left it was fine. Of course, more people came by and we'll see how it goes. I don't think it's the library, though, just a lot of people here. Nice places to sit and cool off. You can sit near windows or just near books. It's friendly and cozy. I definitely will come here again if I'm in the neighborhood. read more

i can read. and not just for work or school (the worst!). i'd go so far as to say i likes to read - for enjoyment (yay!). the library is like a (free) netflix but for books and sh*t! and being that i'm wild low budget, that means reading is right in my price point. yass. this branch of the library is the closest to The Trap and when the weather is nice, i likes to walk here. this branch is also not super big so selection of media readily on hand is limited. i've always had to order for pick-up but the staff is friendly and takes care of me. there's a bunch of computers for you to view the interwebs. there's a few rooms you can book to do your meetings (we hold our annual HOA meetings here). should you go out of your way to drive here? absolutely not but if this is your neighborhood most definitely please support this branch. yes, i can read (without moving my lips even!) read more

I was working on some project on the library, everyone was nice and quiet focusing on their study or reading for a couple of hours, until this noisy couple began to sit there chatting loud their topic as if it were a two-person library. I tolerated for half an hour, until there was no sign they were going to stop. So I moved across them intentionally played some video loud, trying to remind them to keep the noise to a low-level that no longer bother other people around. They didn't lower down at all, instead 3 minutes later this Carolyn came up to intervene, when I trying to explain to her what happened, she lied that she couldn't hear the other's loud noise. As I was trying to stay there a little longer discussing with her who was doing the wrong thing, she threatened to call 911 so In the end I was driven out of the library, feeling terribly mistreated. Thanks Carolyn for your perfectly impartial action, so that these human loudspeakers can be louder next time fearlessly visiting the library to interrupt more people around them. they are rule-less people anyway as they are from the same ethnic group that I frequently see repackaging the packaged fruit boxes in the grocery stores by picking out the large ones from different boxes, repackaging and leaving all the smaller ones to the next customers, effectively trying to help solve the overweight problem for USA. read more

I come to this library about once a week to pick up, drop off and pay fines. The normal library run. The staff is usually nice until yesterday. I came in to pay some fines and as the librarian was searching my account, I told her that I was there to only pay 6$ as I just needed to break a 20$ and this was the best way to do it (in my opinion). She immediately responded with... so you are paying your balance today? Uh. No. I am only paying 6$ today. She explained that it might not be possible for me to pay only 6$ because they do not have enough change. (For a 20$???) She left to ask another person and came back saying that she was certain they did not have enough change in the register then asked if coins would be ok. I said that I did not want to leave them with no money and no coins and that I would just go to another library. I know this is not a big deal and I frequent another library often as well... Just thought that it was annoying that they did not have enough money to be able to give me 14$ and survive after. read more

A nice, quiet library bordered by the Lake Hillz blueberry fields. I come here in the summer to read and take advantage of their North-Pole-style air conditioning. If they don't have what you're looking for, you can order it. This is where I came across Uzumaki, the creepiest manga series ever (really...) My neighbor growing up was the librarian here in the '70s and '80s. This is a good spot to sit around on a hot day. read more

Huge upgrade from the previous lake hills library that used to be just less than a block up the road. This place is super clean, nice, neat and modern although relatively small.....it's kinda like a little brother version of the bellevue regional library. read more

A small library in a nice location, near parks and blueberry farm. My only gripe is it is one of the noisiest libraries I have ever been in. I think this is due to it being just one large communal room. Hopefully, the new location (opening in September) will be a little quieter. Otherwise, staff is great, small but you can get anything from the KCLS system sent there. read more

Today, I was at the new Lake Hills Library, the celebration was very nice. The building has more room and also is more confortable, well...the peacefull that I feel is the same that I felt before at the old building. I love that place. read more

I've visited the Lake Hills Library several times over the past year. Each visit was just like the last. The library is more like a daycare. Screaming and running children are the norm. The staff and parents of these children seem to look the other way and ignore them. The wifi is slow and the staff acts like helping you is a bother. I will not be coming back. read more

I really dislike this library. When I used to go here, it smelled really bad, the layout doesn't make a lot of sense, and there are hardly any books. It's a huge open space, so it can get loud. I like my libraries to have more "nooks" or divisions, to help mitigate noise and have a cozier feel. Kcls has been redoing their libraries, and have been going for a modern, sterile feeling, with cheap modern furniture. read more

Good library to study at. Lots of places to sit and 4/5 nice study rooms. Computers and a teen area. As well as a small children area. Always nicely lit and has great parking lot. read more
