I had a gut feeling something was off, so I decided to trust it--and that decision led me straight to Dr. Showers . The moment I walked in, I felt calm. The staff was so kind and welcoming and the energy in the office just felt different... peaceful, honest, safe. Dr. Showers was everything I didn't know I needed--wise, clear, and genuinely caring. His presence alone felt like a blessing . Instead of jumping into treatment, he walked me through all my options with compassion and knowledge. He even explained the possibility of going the natural route. That moment of honesty gave me clarity and peace of mind ‍. I didn't need the root canal. I saved so much money but more importantly, I felt seen and respected as a patient and a person. That's rare. That's priceless . I've already recommended this place to friends because when something feels this right, you want to share it with the people you care about . Thank you, Dr. Showers, for living up to your name and showering me in blessings And thank you to the entire staff for making me feel at home

They would tell me that the Maryland Bridge is outdated. Nobody uses that technology anymore, everybody uses implants now . The west coast is ALL about implants. They'll try to tap into your insecurities to persuade you into changing your mind. It's truly surprising how relentless they are. My bridge came out and no one would offer a solution to what I wanted. It was ALL about what they wanted and how they felt about it. It doesn't matter if I go to Beverly Hills, Encino, Venice, the valley, 5 star ratings and reviews, THEY ALL SUCK! Almost $1000 later, a tore up mouth from the new "stay plate" (that didn't stay in my mouth) made by another new dentist, feeling discourage, upset, and mad over every LA dentists pushing implants that would cost me 10k. I got on a plane from LAX and came here to finally get my teeth fixed by professionals!! I can't thank Dr. Michelle Singapori enough for fixing my HUGE problem! I was out of my network for health insurance but they made it really affordable for me. I paid less out of pocket at Dr Singapori office to fix me, then being in network in LA and paying to see new dentists to help me fix my problem. If I was my insurance I would pay them. Cheaper than seeing every single shady dentist in LA. Thank you Dr Singapori!

It's unfortunate that I have to leave a disappointing review for this practice. I had a good…read moreinitial experience with Dr Ballis. He is generally very careful and gentle during any procedure. My reason for the one star is for their deceptive and apparent unnecessary add ons to procedures. I was told repeatedly that I had two crowns that needed to be changed. When I called to confirm my appointment, I was told that I was having an additional crown done at an additional $590 out of pocket cost to me. When I confronted Dr Ballis, I was told that maybe because of COVID masking, that I misunderstood. This is deceptive and a grab at additional costs at the expense of the insurance company and patients. Make sure you get everything in writing when you go to this practice. If you don't, you will find additional procedures and costs added to your file.

Then I find Dr. Ballis and decide to use myself as the test subject for my family. I called to make an appointment. I got voice mail but they called me back. Tina, the receptionist, is a no nonsense person, which works great for me. I don't need someone taking up my time smiling sunshine up my butt. She laid out exactly what I needed to do to get my files transferred electronically. It was so easy it was surprising. Dr. Ballis was friendly, easy to talk to and talked to me about my gums, which were inflamed. I had no cavities (I'm a girl who flosses, thank you!) and he said stress can sometimes make your gums inflamed. Huh. Who knew! I decided to transfer the entire family over to his practice, including my then 5yo and 3yo. I was so worried about going from a kid-based dentist to a grown up dentist. I shouldn't have even wasted a minute worrying. Tina scheduled them both at the same time. We arrived and off they went without even a thought. They did wonderfully (a completely surprise to me) and haven't had a problem going back. Yeah Laurie, the technician, and Dr. Ballis! The office looks unassuming from outside. But when you enter there is a grand staircase and lovely decor that greets you. This building hosts other offices as well. Dr. Ballis' office is soothing, with calming classical music playing in the background. (Admit it. Your dentist plays old 60s or 70s stuff. Right?) My husband has made the switch and we all have been very happy with the services Dr. Ballis does. I don't have any complaints and now I just need to get my husband to make his appointment for the Zoom teeth whitening. Can't wait to see that glistening smile.

If you have a complex dental situation, DO NOT take chances by seeing Dr. Fondriest. You need to…read moresee a board certified Prosthodontist. https://www.gotoapro.org He is not, but would leave you to believe he is. Even his secretary answered that he was when I initially called and inquired. I had a complex situation involving my front teeth. In summary, he was to make me a new temporary bridge, replacing an old one from another dentist that was not aesthetically done well. There typically is no risk associated with simply doing so. He talked me into this as an interim step while more specialists were seen and a final treatment plan was considered and made. My dental history was complex, which he was thoroughly aware of as we spent a lot of time talking about it in detail, and notes were made. One of the teeth supporting the bridge was very fragile and potentially was going to need extraction after a final plan determined. The tooth had been treated very delicately by previous dentists as to not rupture or crack it which could lead to ugly problems. Dr. Fondriest unimaginably used a drill on the inside of the tooth, rupturing it inside the gum. He remained quiet about it, and continued to work making the new bridge, when done, he advised me to find a Periodontist to get the tooth extracted as soon as possible. It took three weeks to get in to see someone and have that done... in the meantime the fractured tooth was eating away bone inside my gums..and when the extraction was finally done it was not nice and neat.... I was left with an enormous void in my front gums that may never be able to be fixed. ...additionally, when he made the bridge, he used a very risky technique of painting acrylic onto my teeth and gums...... two days later my gums were burning... and layers of my gum tissue was peeling off, and certain vital aesthetic areas did not heal. I called him in a frantic,, and he said I was having a reaction to "the medicine" he used... I said, "you mean the acrylic"...you were "painting" on? He thought I didn't hear him talking to his assistant regarding what they were using. He admitted, "yes". Dr. Fondriest claims to practice Prosthodontics. He should not be using the word Prosthodontics to describe himself. He is not a certified Prosthodontist, he a dentist that chooses to take on "cosmetic" cases. Anything that is complex, he should not touch. Additionally, on numerous occasions, he claimed to be officially "rated". ....after looking into it, he pays to be included in a publication that simply lists Dr's who pay to be included. It's a money making, marketing ploy; https://www.google.com/amp/s/abcnews.go.com/amp/Health/top-doctor-awards-deserved-abc-news-investigation/story%3fid=16771628 I'm not sure how I'll come out of this, but it nonetheless is coming with enormous stress, anxiety...and numerous procedures over a long time...and thousands of dollars.. Perhaps by writing this I can prevent this kind of catastrophe from happening to anyone else.

Who likes going to the dentist? Me!…read more I actually know multiple people from Lake Forest and Lake Bluff that go to Dr. Durrett. He was actually referred to me by my dentist in downtown Chicago because I had no idea where to start when I moved up here. The office is small and compact but that doesn't mean you feel like you're in some old practice. The group has the latest technology -- from digital "x-rays" that instantly pull up to Zoom, the blue-lighting teeth whitening process. His technicians are down to earth, chatty (in a good way) and work quickly. I have had the teeth whitening process and was pleased with the outcome. I've never had a cavity (it's true) so I can't speak to his oral surgeon skills. The office managers will work with your insurance company rather than making you submit the paperwork, which saves me from the hassle! He's an easy recommendation if you're looking for a dentist.

This is not the first time this has happened, my husband had caught a cold after a visit to Dr. Durrett a while ago. Now he is very careful to only schedule appointments the first hour of the day to minimize contamination. The problem must be that they are not cleaning their instruments enough or the ventilation isn't good. Not happy to have to go through this cold.

Dr. Mark Steinberg and his team are awesome!…read more I am very grateful for the exceptional experience that I had in the removal of my bottom right wisdom tooth. Fortunately, the only tooth extraction experience I had previously was the removal of 2 upper teeth in my teens for the purposes of braces. As well, I have no cavities, so I have only experienced a dentist for routine cleanings. This was my first time visiting with an oral surgeon. However, after a recent visit my normal dentist office it became clear that it would be beneficial for me to remove my bottom right wisdom tooth given that it was crooked and covered by a flap of gum which made cleaning difficult and was becoming problematic. I had no pain. However, we determined that it was a good idea to be proactive especially since I was not longer a "teenager" or in my 20's and the risk for problems would only increase with time. Upon entering Dr. Steinberg's office I was somewhat nervous about the idea of taking out a wisdom tooth given all of the horror stories I read online. Apart from the fact that Dr. Steinberg is an MD as well as a DDS, he is thorough, compassionate and highly competent. He and his team took the time to answer my numerous questions and to make sure I was aware of all my options and risks. Dr. Steinberg first inspected my mouth, then using the newest technology available took a full mouth 3D X-ray to get the complete picture. I had a previous X-ray from my regular dentist. However, it was not a clear and Dr. Steinberg's office took another one at not cost. Again, he then took the time to explain my options. In the end, he extracted my wisdom tooth and any potential infection in the area was scrapped to avoid future problems. I was little anxious about the procedure and concerned with the post surgery pain that others had warned me of in their experience. As it turned out, the procedure was a success. I had zero pain during the procedure and Dr. Steinberg communicated with me throughout the process, so I knew what to expect along the way. In fact, the pain from the procedure more or less subsided after the first 16 hours. He had advised me that I would experience pain and discomfort for the next 36 hours, but it has not lasted that long. Dr. Steinberg provided me with a prescription for Norco, but I only needed to take it once 4 hours after the procedure and since then I have only needed ibuprofen twice which I have mainly used to aid with the inflammation. Ice really helped alot. The next day the office called me to check on my progress. I was touched that they took the time as these days you mainly only get office appointment reminders. A couple days later, I had questions and when I called his office, his team answered all my questions. If you require dental care that may be more complex, Dr. Steinberg is your guy. I strongly recommend this practice without hesitation!
