I have been going to Dr. Riesburg for over 15 years now. I lived in the city, Wrigleyville to be exact. I therefore went to a local Chicago dentist in order to receive some typical yearly work. This establishment was the worst dentist I had ever visited as they filled teeth that did not have cavities and exploited their services as such. The worst ended with a file being left in my tooth after a root canal that they deemed necessary. At any rate, I digress. I then turned to Dr. Riesburg since he was in the same neighborhood as my employer at the time. I honestly cannot say enough good things about Dr. Riesburg. He is honest and all telling. I later found out the tooth that needed assistance didn't even need help. There was nothing wrong with the tooth! (Note: I had to extract said tooth and get an implant. Chicago dentist refused to compensate me even after I attempted to litigate. I was therefore forced to pay out of pocket for this whole experience. I would not wish this upon anyone as it truly was disadvantageous). Dr. Riesburg helped me with my misfortune throughout everything. He has stuck by me, and is very personable throughout. He is a dentist who actually cares, hence why I travel an hour up north to enjoy his services. He has now taken care of all 3 of my children, especially when my now two year old had broken her front tooth while jumping from couch to coffee table. Do you know who was willing to be exposed to an X-ray whilest taking the pic? Dr. Riesburg! Best dentist ever and the reason while my family of 5 continue to drive to fabulous Highland Park to reach him! His services, personality, and professional atmosphere will continue to make us want to be there. Side note: Erin has been there for some time and we also love her. We were patients there for a few years. But if you experience pain and/or with a cracked tooth and need to see him next day, he will vent anger at your for bothering him. Dental tech there quite outdated compared to other facilities that can do more with X-rays and computer-assisted 3D modeling. I have been going to Dr. Riesberg in his Highland Park office for years and have nothing but praise for him. I had come from another dentist and Dr. Riesberg was appalled at the prices that they charged me for the work I had done. He is fair and reasonable in his pricing structure and is the most accommodating dentist I've ever met when it comes to making payments. He's very very smart and treats you like a person. He explains everything that he will do, AND he explains the options as there is often more than one way to solve an issue, giving you, the patient, a say in your treatment. He is a kind hearted man and never tries to get over on someone - if anything, he takes a little bit of a loss to make sure that you are a happy patient. I have had work done where there was a little too much space between my teeth causing food traps to form. I have gone back to him to explain the issue and he has repaired it without charging me. I have been to other dentists that charge you for their mistakes. This is not the case with Dr. Riesberg. It is a small practice with one or two chairs, and he has good personal relationships with the various service providers with whom he works (labs and such). If there were a mistake made by a lab, he doesn't try to force it to work - rather, he demands excellence from himself and regardless of fault on any lab work, he works diligently to ensure you have the best dental care and that you are happy with his work. In this day and age it is rare to find a dentist that has empathy and is willing to go the extra mile for you without charging an arm and a leg. He always finds a way to work within your insurance limits and budget, which is refreshing. His staff is professional and courteous, and they also treat you as if they know you outside of the office. Aside from pricing structure and demeanor, Dr. Riesberg has a great deal of skill as well. Dentistry is somewhat of an art and he is a wonderful artist.I have recommended him to no less than seven people over the past few years and everyone of them have thanked me for my recommendation. read more

I was seeing Dr. Jeff for a couple of years until I moved to Wisconsin and sure wish he was here. A great guy and a very good dentist, honest and compassionate. Office staff was also very friendly! Small office but always clean. Pricing was reasonable even if you didn't have insurance. read more

Dr. Riesberg is a very good, honest dentist who will not pressure you into doing unnecessary work. He does a wonderful job; from teeth cleaning for my kids to making dentures for my father. If I could give 2 1/2 stars, i would. I felt wrong giving 2 stars because the office staff was so great. I saw this dentist at a location near Chicago and Ashland; not in Highland Park. The office staff was extremely friendly and they were all assets to that business. I actually am writing this review about 8 to 10 months after my visit. I will explain. I had a visible cavity and went in to get the cavity filled. I also went in for a cleaning and to have the dentist xray my teeth and let me know if there were any more problems I could NOT see. Well, he only found the one cavity that I pointed out to him. He filled it. It was quick and he made sure I was numb. It went well. The problem I have is that I mentioned to him when I eat sweets/sugary food, my upper molar feels a slight pain. It concerned me that it may be a cavity. He looks real quick and said no. The thing is, IT WAS A CAVITY that grew very DEEP over the next few months. A new dentist had to spend 5 to 10 minutes (which I have never had someone drill for more than 2 minutes...) to fill the thing and I suspect the filling is close to the root. Dr. Reisberg also mentioned at some point that I should replace my fillings, but he never said when. He DID say they didn't need to be replaced right away though. WRONG AGAIN. The molar right below the one with the cavity had decay under the filling, which should have been visible from the x-rays he took. Because he overlooked that, I also had to get a deep filling very close to my root (since the decay progressed way too close to it). Unfortunately, if the inflammation in my root does not go down, I will probably need a root canal soon. I can't even chew with the left side of my mouth. I wish he would have 1) LOOKED a little harder for a cavity when I said I probably had one and 2) LOOKED AT MY X-RAYS a little harder and 3) If my fillings suggested they needed replacement, he should have just said I should replace them as soon as I can. Would I go back to this dentist? No way. He was a nice enough guy, but someone who can't prevent a much bigger, more expensive tooth problem is not worth the money. It is really hard to find a good dentist when you're using an HMO, I suppose. Again, very impressed with the office staff. read more

I neglected my teeth for decades! This dentist gave me advice from the first visit on what to do with the best pricing and time frame. He is a very knowledgeable person. Understood my needs for a stronger numbing agent. Very gentle. Very considerate. I would recommend him to any person looking for a dentist! read more

Dr. Riesberg truly cares about the well being of his patient. When I see him for my dentistry I trust him completely. He explains to me the most economical way to care for my teeth. If I have a dental emergency he goes out of his way to handle it for me or get me to the right kind of specialist to handle the problem immediately. He is the last of a dying breed. Most dentists today push unnecessary treatments to make money. Dr. Riesberg wants you to have a healthy mouth with out taking advantage of you. He also is very well versed in explaining different dental treatments so you know your options and know exactly what to expect. read more

Wow! Last night I bit into something hard and thought I broke off a piece of a tooth. I took a chance and went in to Dr. Riesberg early this morning and got right in. I'm a regular patient, but Jeff saw me right away. Lucky for me, it was just an old filling that broke, not the tooth. The doctor immediately recognized this and put in a new filling. I was in and out in 30 minutes after walking in on a Saturday morning. Dr. Riesberg really knows his stuff. He is professional and doesn't overcharge his patients (unlike other dentists I have been to in the area). I highly recommend Dr. Riesberg and would give 10 stars if I could! read more

Came in for the first time in Sept 2015. Dr Riesberg and his staff are such wonderful and knowledgeable group. Brought in my 2yr old toddler for his first time dental check and I cannot express how great it was to have his office exam my son. Both my husband and I really enjoy coming in to visit the doctor.
