They showed great professionalism and care in how they went about conducting diagnostic procedures for my issue. Dr. Gilbert is nothing short of fantastic. He asked very focused questions, and gave me excellent advice. He actually concluded that my problem is dental, not orthodontal. Not only did he not try to sell me any services, he refused my offer to pay for this comprehensive introductory examination that was so instructive for me. 5+ stars! Right before the pandemic hit, we were due to have our kiddos in for another braces appointment. As soon as Gilbert was safely ready and allowed to open for appointments, Addie contacted us to come in. My kids were like, "heck no" we're not going...scary virus, and TBH we were also feeling a bit uncertain, but yesterday's experience was exemplary. Once scheduled, we received an appointment confirmation along with a Covid-19 survey for us to fill out. It was easy peasy and asked simple questions regarding our kids' basic health and possible exposure to coronavirus. The new process allows for patients, only, to enter the office with masks on for appointments. There is no waiting room option at this point in time. Parents should prepare to drop off their kiddos. Due to the fact that our appointment was a big progress check-in appointment, they set up a special time just for our family to come in. Again, masks required. They had us wait in our car to make sure the office was cleared of other patients and sanitized, and then they let us know when it was safe to go in. When we entered the office with masks on, Addie was right there with a table to greet us and take our temperatures. Boys were sent to the exam area, and we were sent to the office to meet with Dr. Gilbert. They make sure no one is left roaming around. After our appointment with Dr. Gilbert, we left our kiddos and went to the parking lot to wait for them. Once they were done, they were sent out of the office and out to our car. Love this office, and I'm so proud to be a client. Gilbert Orthodontics, you are doing an amazing job, and my kids love it there (except for the occasional sore teeth). just now Dr. Gilbert and his staff are wonderful. They are kind, friendly and get to know their patients and their families by name. The office is clean, bright, and modern. Dr.Gilbert has done a phenomenal job with my son and his teeth. An added bonus is the location in downtown Highland Park. When my son went to Elm Place he walked there (it's almost across the street). He was able to take an appointment in the middle of the day and make it back to school. Northwood kids who will be at Elm Place for the next two years may want to jump on that. Truly a great orthodontist. Smart, trustworthy, kind and a pleasure to work with. read more

We love Dr. Gilbert and his staff. My son just finished his first round of braces/expander and it has been a great experience. My son asks a lot of questions and everyone is very patient and understanding (he would like me to add that it hasn't hurt at all!). One of the best parts is their office staff, especially Addie. She was extremely helpful in setting everything up for our first appointment, returning my calls and e-mails and answering all of my questions. I had taken my son for an orthodontist consultation with someone highly recommended and was happy with the suggestions but was floored by the price. We decided to hold off on braces. Then I met Dr Gilbert and staff at a local Park District event they were sponsoring and we decided to come in for a consult. I was so impressed by them and my son was so at ease we signed up right away. My son is still in braces (we are only 6 months into treatment) but our experience has only been positive so far. They're flexible for appointments, affordable (we used the military discount), and everyone is SO NICE! My younger son is now getting a consultation with Dr Gilbert for his future braces. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Gilbert and his team. I was very happy with my Invisalign experience. At first, I was worried about the process, but it was SO easy. Appointments are quick, and I never had to wait more than a couple minutes to be seen. Addie, the treatment coordinator, explained everything to me and answered all of my questions. She even met me in a parking lot to deliver my rubber bands when the office was closed at the beginning of the pandemic. A few months after treatment, I lost my retainers when I was out of town, and Addie replied to my email right away and helped me order replacements. Dr Gilbert is a very qualified ortho that both of my kids used for braces. When there was any issues with their teeth , he communicated and fixed the problem. The office manager and receptionists are always nice and always willing to accommodate your appointments. They will always make time for you and I highly recommend this practice. Awesome! The office staff is so caring and friendly; I look forward to taking my kids just to see them. The doctors are husband and wife, both great. They make themselves available by cell phone for broken wires or other things that come up, encouraging patients to call, because their comfort is important. All costs were discussed up front, and there were no surprises. My oldest daughter has gotten her braces off and looks great; my youngest just got her braces on, and we've already visited after hours a few times to adjust them and fix wires due to rapid shifting. This facility is absolutely amazing. I've been coming here for three years and they have been extremely wonderful. They have done everything to their power to keep me happy as well as help me achieve the perfect smile.
