However, how their driver proceeded was very rude, unethical and very empathic to the situation. I would like to know who monitors Lake County Tow's impoundment practices... They are scamming and cherry-picking who they tow. Case in point I parked my truck with a boat trailer attached at South Lake Medical Center on Saturday, May 29th (Memorial Day Weekend) at approximately 11:00 pm. I have done this several times in the past as I know I am not impeding anyone from parking as most offices are closed on the weekend especially over a holiday. The parking lot has a lot of spaces. I live across from the medical center and could see my vehicle from my porch. To my surprise the next morning I found my vehicles missing and after searching the parking lot for a possible no parking overnight sign. I found a very small sign to the right of the entrance which obviously I missed. No other signs are posted anywhere on the property. In the past, I have seen Lake County Tow patrolling the parking lot late at night which I found strange as there have been several cars parked in this lot overnight but not towed. Case in point in the covered parking lot in the back there is an old gray Dodge Stratus with a yellow county tag (paint peeling off the tag) no registration sticker that has been parked in the same spot since 5/29 (17days I have dated pictures). It is obviously not a county vehicle as it is a very old vehicle. I also noticed 4 other vehicles parked in the parking lot at approximately 7:30 am on a Sunday. Hence why they are cherry-picking which vehicles to tow... When I called their dispatch, they said that the cost would be $426.00 cash (really) and I could pick it up at 15409 County Road 565A, Clermont, Fl 34711. I explain the above and to top it off it was the day after my birthday. She could care less they are scammers. To add insult, I had to get another one of my vehicles go to the bank withdraw the money and get an Uber to pick it up as I wasn't even sure someone would be there to let me in. She also told me it had to be the exact amount. When I arrived, there was no attend that I could see. I had to call her again. Finally, an attendant came out and opened the gate... I asked him why he would tow a vehicle so late at night he said the owner of the property called (lie). Really the owner was watching a medical center at 2:55 am according to the Invoice time impounded? He then proceeded to tell me that the cost was $460 which was more than what I was originally told. I had to prove my ownership with a license and registration. I am also curious how they got my truck out since it was parked close to a curb and how do you tow 2 vehicles at once (the hitch was locked to the truck). I then asked who sets these ridiculous impoundment charges. He responded the city council (lie). I asked for a receipt and he said that the dispatch would send me an invoice. June 1st still no receipt. I had to call the dispatch again to get a copy of the receipt... I asked her also who to contact at the City Council about pricing of impounding. She said no one Lake County Tow sets the price. How can this be possible? They take your truck/trailer impound it and then they have you because you have to have to pay the cash to get it out. Think about it this was double-dipping on their part because they are charging me for 2 vehicles with one tow. Even worse it wasn't in their lot for more than 7 hours. Charges (towing) Loaded/Hooked Mileage $35.33, (Towing) Gate Fee After Hours $75.00, (Towing) Towing $120.00 x 2. How does this work when the trailer was attached to the truck? They had one tow, not two tows. I at least want $230.33 back as it was one individual tow!!! I want to make everyone aware of this company that is scamming our Clermont neighborhood. This morning, I had to call Hyundai Roadside Assistance for my car to be towed to Holler Hyundai. Lake County Tow was the company dispatched to us. Dustin called me not even a few moments later telling me he was 5 minutes away. He was incredibly fast, very polite, and matched my sense of humor which makes my awful break down feel a bit better (this is on going since July.) I walked back inside my house and Hyundai Roadside Assistance called to let me know that Lake County Tow should arrive in 20 minutes or so, meanwhile my car was already gone :) This entire tow experience took about 15 minutes total, give or take. I am really impressed and would recommend them to everyone. I think it takes longer to grill a burger honestly. read more

I have never been so disrespected. I called to cancel the service after them not showing up. In spite of the cancellation they showed up anyway pulling in front of the towing service I requested. When I told the driver I was not going to use their service he continued to hook up my truck anyway. We had asked if he was from Our insurance company and he misrepresented himself saying he was. He refused to take my truck off of the lift and pulled to the other side of the road with it, telling me that I'd be charged $100 for dropping it if he did not take it. We were in a remote location, it was dark and the real Tow service truck had to leave, so we were forced to give him my keys. My husbands car would not start this morning and this tow service was called. They were responsive and came at exactly the time they told us they would be here. The car had a bad battery and the driver started it with jumper cables and we were able to get it up to a garage for a new battery. I would highly recommend this business. read more

Put over $9000.00 dollars worth of damage to my car and are refusing to pay for the damages. The dealership will not release my car, so now I am without a vehicle. Ok, I am way overdue on writing this recommendation but last month I was in an accident where my vehicle tipped over in a very muddy road. Andrew from Lake County Tow came out to save the day. Not only was he one of the first people to stop and ask if I was ok, the poor guy got full of mud, got his truck messy, and still with a smile professionally took care of me and flipped my car right side up and towed me and my car back home safety. My insurance told me it would be $15 dollars i would need to pay the two guys who showed up tried telling me it was 25 when they were unable to provide me with a receipt I told them I wouldn't pay anything other than the 15 I was told it would be. Either bring documentation or have proof why it's more expensive or I'm going to assume you try to scam each and every individual you uses your service. Don't recommend. read more

Cameron was wonderful and very helpful. All 4 tires and rims were stolen off my car so it was a tricky job getting the car up on jacks without doing more damage (the front was already on the curb). He was very careful to not do any additional damage and was very courteous at the same time. I would highly recommend. My experience was a good one. I used my AARP road service to get a tow when my starter went out. When they were notified by my road service company they called me within about 5 minutes. The driver Luis was courteous and seemed to care that I got some good service. Not good when the car breaks down but they got me towed to where I got my car fixed. Excellent service to me. read more

This was by far the absolute worst experience I have ever had. I had a tire blow out on my way to work on this day (Saturday). I called GEICO who in turn referred me here to Lake County Tow. They quoted me $125 to tow the car so I agreed they said they would have someone out in 45 min. Fast forward to 50 min after the initial phone call and I am told that the driver is still 25 min out. I am already late for work at this point. An hour and a half after I requested the tow truck, the driver makes it to the 7-Eleven that my car is stranded at only to tell me that he will not be able to tow my car because it's too low and it would need a flatbed and that I should call back to the home office and see how long it would be to get one out there. I call back to the home office and I am told that they will not pick up my car because it has been lowered and they don't want any liabilities as if I care about the damage that can be done to my front bumper at this point. Their website states they are trained to handle most any situation but they can't get a "lowered" Infiniti onto a flatbed but yet they advertise themselves towing a lambo. Makes sense. read more

I needed tow for a flat tire and the car was on the highway so I went to nearby business and guided them to the car from there where he told me he could not tow unless he changed the tire and charged me labor on top of the tow which was going to be way over the 68 dollars quoted to me so I said never mind and he charged me 49 dollars for the 12 miles he had driven to me and 12 miles to the car they refused to help me by giving me a break on the price and over charged and didn't even tow the car read more

A few nights ago my truck died while I was driving and I called my roadside assistance to come pick me up. It took over three and a half hours for somebody to show up and when they did the gentleman told me that he was lucky that he even showed up because of the short distance of my tow. I could not believe that he said that to me. Basically he was telling me that a lot of tow truck drivers passed over my call because it was not enough money for them to make it worth their time. A few days later I needed to have my truck towed to the dealership for service and called my roadside assistance again and this time it was Lake County tow who answered the call. They were there in like 15 minutes! I could not believe it. I was so happy that I was going to actually make it to my service appointment. I would most definitely recommend them to anybody who needs a tow. Nice trucks and Professional Service. Can't beat that!
