When I questioned them about price they threatened to take my car to impound and argued it would cost me 250 To get out. My vehicle was not driving right and before we could get it to the shop, it stopped driving completely. The engine was running, the battery was fine but we couldn't get it to accelerate. At 9pm on a Sunday night we were stranded on Western Way at the intersection of Bear Island Road - with nothing around but vehicles flying by. Then the rain stared to downpour. My parents and three kids were with me, my parents called AAA. After a 30min hold to speak with an AAA representative, they submitted a request for a tow truck to be dispatched - which could take up to 3hrs (until 1am). We called for an Uber to get one adult and two kids back to our resort and collect our second vehicle so we could get my youngest (still in a 5pt harness) back to the resort as well. At 11:30pm I received this text from AAA, "We apologize for not meeting our response time goal on your AAA service request." We called AAA again and after another 20+min hold were told no companies accepted our tow request. I started looking up alternate options on Yelp. My call was quickly answered by Ken with Able Towing and Roadside, he took my information and gave me a quote. I called two other companies, no answer on either and called back Able. Ken arrived in 25mins just like he quoted. He was helpful and personable, which was nice considering the crappy turn of our night. He hooked my vehicle up quickly and followed us to our preferred mechanic. Processing payment was quick and easy, and we were offered an email receipt. While our experience could not have been better with Ken & Able Towing, I really hope we won't need to use his services again. read more

We hit a huge pothole in the middle of the highway on Epcot Center Drive, causing our tire to explode. We had a full vehicle of people on the side of a busy highway. We filed a AAA claim to get assistance and also called the police. Within minutes, Nate F. called us to first see if we were okay and confirm our location. We]called the police due to our location on the highway being extremely unsafe and no space to change the tire. The officer arrived and then left us! We couldn't believe he wasn't going to keep his lights on to not only protect us from getting hit by oncoming traffic but also prevent other drivers from hitting the same pothole. Within minutes, Nate arrived, immediately had his flashing lights on, and started diverting traffic to keep everyone in the safest position possible, given the situation. It isn't very often that you think of giving a tow company five stars. In this case, I do not hesitate to do so. I found Able through Yelp. I placed an email requesting services to tow my wife's car (about 15 miles) for repair. Yelp dished it out to 5 or 6 companies, and Mo from Able replies back within about 30 minutes. The rates were great compared to others ($65 to hook up and $3 per mile) and seeing many other great reviews was a plus. We were able to confirm everything through Yelp messaging. About 20 minutes before pickup, Angel called me to confirm the details. I met him at the drop off location. He was quick, professional and efficient. Payment was easy and quick and we were on our way. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the area needing a tow. read more

Our work truck had to be returned to the dealership in Daytona Beach for an emissions issue so General Motors hired Able Towing to bring the truck to their dealership. There are photos showing the driver incorrectly loading the vehicle. Our employee tried to tell him that he was going to damage the vehicle but he didn't listen. Once the vehicle was delivered to Daytona, we were sent photos of the tire damage. Now the vehicle's emissions issue is fixed yet there are bald spots from where the tires were dragged by the driver from Able Towing. We reached out to let them know there was damage but they said they are not responsible because we didn't pay for the tow-General Motors did. Person (Hispanic male, late 20s, early 30s) arrived 45 mins later from ETA. I tell him i had someone go get me a spare, they are literally 5 mins away and could he maybe assist in the change. He told me he's only here to do a towing. Which is understandable but with the time I had to wait I don't see why this male couldn't assist two females with a tire. I then ask him how much extra will it be to tow to a tire shop a little bit away from my original drop off station. He tells me $100, when it should be $75. Gecio covers up to 25 miles and then your company charges $5 per extra mile. In total the destination is 40 miles away. 40-25=15. 15*5=75. After I decline the price, he tells me to cancel my service because he has others waiting. How rude. I eventually asked him could he stay until we could see if we could put the spare on cause if not i had no choice but to pay the $100. Soon as they arrived he stuck his head out his door and signaled thumps up(asking was he good to go), i shook my head no. About 5 mins later he go out his truck proceeded to walk up then stopped turned around and got back into his truck and left.So not only was I stuck on the side of the highway for 3 hours waiting for help. When the supposely help arrived, I was mistreated, almost took advantage of. I've never been treated this way using any type of roadside assistance and hope in the future you guys will do better and send out someone who actually wants to help and not just make a quick buck. read more
