A grown man called us "lazy" for sitting down, and made us go to the art room. He was very rude and pushy. The staff take certain activities too seriously, screaming or even pushing children if they mess up. And be mind there are 5 year olds at this camp. I personally saw one councilor who made a kid cry because they sat in the wrong section. The "boss lady" would yell at kids for expressing their feelings One of the councilors would be very rude and passive aggressive shaming us if we didn't participate. The wait time for activities are also EXTREMELY long. We had to wait almost 2 hours until the next thing. And most of the time the councilors would make everyone sit on the ground. My friend and I went there for one week and I have bruises from having the sit on the HARD ASS GROUND. And lastly the boss was so rude to the councilors, one had to fake talk to kids to make sure the boss wouldn't see her sitting. Do not recommend for any age. Especially teenagers or smaller kids. Horrible environment and staff.

There's a crystal clear creek running through the campground. The creek and the river are magical places for kids to play. They search for tadpoles and other critters and can swim in the protected lagoon, which gets deeper gradually. Finally, you can lay in the rushing river water for the ultimate spa experience. Can you tell we liked it here? The campground is run by a family who has had the land in their hands for generations. They are excited and kind about sharing it with visitors and have created an awesome culture of friendliness and respect among campers and the campground owners. There is a well equipped camp store with everything you might have forgotten and even local pottery. The bathrooms and grounds are very clean. They also run tube, canoe and kayak trips where they'll drop you off upriver and you'll finish at Soaring Eagle. We did a tube float down the river which was the highlight of the trip. There weren't many others on the river with us which was a special thing. They also rent canoes and kayaks. We'll try those next time.

It is VITAL that we have reliable internet to do this, however, so we always call ahead about the wifi. Before we rented, we called, asked about the wifi situation and were assured we would have a spot with a strong signal. My husband owns a software development company that customizes systems for businesses, and we have to be available to our staff of developers and programmers mornings and evenings. The internet did not work... at all. When we attempted to contact the owner/manager(?) by phone, there was no answer. Our voicemail messages went unreturned. Our email was also ignored. We finally got a return text but the owner said we should try getting on the wifi outside (in the cold). She then suggested we should enlist the help of a neighbor to connect (Again, we own a tech company. Not knowing how was never the issue.). She was very rude, dismissive and then devolved from the person we had just seen walking everywhere claiming they couldn't help us, because they can't walk, were tired, in pain and "about to be sick". We discovered that there was an up charge for "premium wifi"... So, if that is indeed the case, we just needed someone to take our credit card number by phone to give us the premium access to the internet. We suspect "premium internet" is a myth, since as soon as we requested it, the owner stopped replying to our messages. The final message we received was an ALL CAPS claim of being practically at death's door. If that's the case, someone else should be onsite to handle issues. We will be requiring our rental fee back. Avoid this place. It's pretty much falling apart, and the personnel here appear to have zero interest in taking care of guests' needs.

The grounds are beautiful. I have watched chipmunks play and watched the deer walk around. The stream is peaceful. The sites are beautiful and I am so happy that I moved to such a peaceful place with my camping family. I love my site with the woods right behind me. There are places for my kids to explore. I couldn't be happier and I cannot wait for the beginning of the 2019 season to start.

It's all in a wooded area, has a nice pool, rather clean bathrooms and showers. The playground was barely holding together, but the little one didn't notice! Prior to my visit when I asked about a trail map, there was no response. Upon arrival at the property, the only trail I was told of was the one that led from the cabin to the lake. This is very misleading, A big part of the reason I booked this place was the nature trails. Post-visit I was told no one has ever asked about a trail map before. Over 100 acres of trails and no map or markers or signage except for the lake trail. That's ridiculous. The cabin needed cleaning. There were spiderwebs in bathroom. Webs in the corners of the bedroom ceiling, a cobweb hanging from the ceiling. These webs looked like they had been there a while. The ceiling fan was covered in dust. I booked a cabin to be able to have use of the full kitchen. The microwave door handle was hanging on by a thread. It appeared someone had previously attempted to fix it with glue, which obviously did not work well. The shower handle came off in my hand, but I was able to put it back on. The toilet was running and then stopped working. Eventually, someone came to fix the toilet. The next day, the toilet stopped flushing again. The kitchen window did not close all the way, allowing bugs to come in. The screen of the screen door is not attached, and the door does not close flush with the door frame. It was not possible to have front door open because there was ample room for bugs to come in. The listing says "Peace and Quite!!! Very Private". It was not private, it wasn't even quite quiet. There is a good amount of streetnoise, the cabin is set very close to the road. Bring earplugs. Private? No. It is a very short walk to the playground because the playground is directly across the street. A fence separates you from house next door, clear view of their home and yard. Not nearly as secluded as you'd think. They asked if I would not leave a negative review in exchange for a refund. I don't do hush money. People deserve to know what to expect from this place.

The team was so generous and helpful. The grounds are clean, there is a game room, pool, indoor showers and toilets and a little store. A friend got their camper stuck in a tight spot and the staff went above and beyond to help us get him out with minimal damage to his camper. There is a beautiful stream and hiking. There is electricity and water at each camp site. Will definitely be back. Heads up most carriers have little to no cell service so get the true one with nature experience
