Including death. - They left me with a flow of laughing gas that was high enough I had to breathe through my mouth to regulate it as it was becoming difficult to hold my head up. - My husband called to suggest they use at least a heartbeat and oxygen monitoring, but the receptionist downplayed the potential severity. - Beware and request to be monitored while under any level of sedation. They booked us for a consultation initially due to it being for multiple teeth. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly, professional and welcoming. The consultation appointment was short and the extraction was booked for a few weeks out at a convenient time. The surgical appointment went very smoothly and Dr. Schmidt took excellent care of my husband, including a call later in the day to follow up. We had no complications whatsoever. My only real issue was with the initial consultation appointment where they wanted us to arrive 30 minutes early to complete paperwork. We had completed the paperwork online, none of which they apparently had. Then it appeared they were running behind on appointments as my husband was not called back until 30 minutes after his actual appointment time. I find that incredibly disrespectful to any patient, given their time is as valuable as those they are actually paying a service for. I get appointments run behind, but 30 minutes is excessive and with nobody kindly informing and apologizing to patients that this is what is happening is a big miss. Regardless of me being annoyed with that (my husband is so easy going he does not care and would literally sit there for an hour) given the level of care and service with everything else, this place is great!

Dr. Angie and her husband are wonderful. The staff are warm and friendlyendly, they're clean, organized, and do their jobs well. We will continue to go to them for all of our dental needs

In Scottsdale and Phoenix and everywhere else I've lived. I've never had a dental office or doctor refuse to just file the secondary insurance and make you pay what Wen insurance covers only... My dentist in Scottsdale NEVER did that. She made my life harder. It was more work for her, so she didn't want to do it. So I went in and talked to her face-to-face and she said it's something they experimenting with and not to worry about it they would file it for my husband. I told her that paying out-of-pocket isn't ideal when you have double insurance. I mean 30 days later you get paid. But she said they would work it out this time and when my husband came in, she went behind my back and charged him. Not what we talked about!! And I personally don't like being lied to my face. So then they filed the secondary insurance and I had to wait 30 days and monitor it. Just one more thing I have to keep up with... That I shouldn't have to... Once I saw that it was paid, I waited 10 more days without hearing anything from them so I sent an email and told them that I saw that thet had been paid and I would come by and pick up the payment. Again, more work for me to monitor and now ask when they're going to pay me? She said 7 to 10 days... Well, 10 days of nothing. I mean, she demanded payment from my husband before they would treat him, so why should they sit on my money? So they replied to the email and said it would be 7 to 10 days. And I responded back. I would come pick it up that day. They could just cut me a check. It had already been 7 to 10 days, and after all they made my husband pay the day he went in. And they created all this extra work and stress for me... She doesn't want to do her job. And she doesn't want to make it easier on the customer. She even told me it was harder for her... So then I assume that she tells the dentist that I am a problem and they send me a letter saying they're going to discontinue us as customers. Well, good riddance. If the doctor doesn't want to hear the other side of the story and wants to hear this mouthy woman in the office. Go for it. So this really isn't a surprise. But it is quite disappointing. I mean how freaking hard is it to just file the secondary insurance? But they'd rather lose customers. So just sharing our story. Good luck if you go here. Because she's not very friendly and she doesn't want to do her job. But the dentist themselves were great, but apparently are listening to one side of the story from a lazy office person who doesn't want to help the customer. Goodbye. I'm sure I'll find another dentist office that will gladly do their job and not make life hard harder on me.

Worst Dental Visit I've ever Had - Wasted time, unnecessary dental work, and terrible service…read more I booked an appointment here since it had a high Google review and was conveniently located next to my house and within my insurance. I had previously called and confirmed billing, insurance, and that I would be getting a cleaning at the same appointment. However, all changed upon arriving at the office for my basic cleaning and checkup. I had a terrible experience from start to finish. I was told that I had too much inflammation in my gums for a basic cleaning, so I would have to come back to have that scheduled in a separate visit for a premium cost (detailed cleaning). Additionally, I was told that I needed multiple crowns and had 5 cavities. Instantly I knew something wasn't right, as I've only ever had two cavities in my entire life. The dentist was defensive, rude, and insulted me by claiming I had bad dental health and didn't do good home care for my dental health. In total, I was told I needed to make 5 dental appointments, totaling $3000+ out of pocket, $8000+ total... Rather than trust that opinion, I trusted my gut and I waited 6 months for my insurance to allow me to go have a dental check elsewhere. I was told by a reputable dentist that I only had two new cavities, required no crowns, and didn't have much gum inflammation, thus they did the basic cleaning that same day; In total I only had $700 for my entire treatment out of pocket. The teeth that dentist of vail said needed crowns, were not even cavities according to this other dentist. So go to Dentists of Vail if you want to waste thousands of dollars on dental work you don't need, while being insulted and lied to by staff, or go somewhere else, literally anywhere else would be better... Go to Dentists of Vail if you want to have: -Unnecessary dental work -Waste thousands of dollars -Be gaslighted and insulted by staff -Waste your time by waiting months for another dentist to give you a honest treatment under your benefits
