I felt like they cared and were so friendly. Gilbert was also so kind and great at what he does too! The finance person, i believe her name is Mya, made me zero pressure as i chose from multiple options I was given to help complete the process.

They refused to accept responsibility for a botched crown they created. I was left with my partial plate flopping around my mouth, even with a brand-name denture adhesive (Fixadent), which required multiple applications throughout the day and made eating a very unpleasant experience, along with a strong, ongoing Zinc taste. It has a warning directly printed on the tube not to be used more than once a day or on poorly fitting dentures, which they created. During the four-plus years of wearing my partial, I had never needed or used any form of adhesive to keep it securely in place. Even the temporary crown just placed by Houghton Family Dentistry (her) was not a problem and fit well. All that changed when they had to CUT off the temporary crown and install the permanent one, which did not firmly lock in place as did all procedures that predated this event, as far back as 4 or more years. And I suffered for a month until my next appointment for a consultation. I explained to the Doctor the nightmare I had been experiencing during that entire month. I expected she would accept responsibility and admit to their lack of expertise in this instance. But to my astonishment, instead of owning up to their inferior crown replacement, the bottom line conveyed to me was that if the insurance only covered part of or none of the corrective procedure needed to perfect the inadequacies that I was left with, it would be my, the patient's responsibility to pay whatever the amount of money even though it was unequivalently no fault of the patient, but rests solidly with Houghton Family Dentistryto make things right. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The office girl who books the procedures was left to deliver their decision, which was quite indignant and showed only indifference to my opinion. I therefore canceled all future appointments for myself and for my wife, and look forward to finding a more reputable Dental practice. K Golden

From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely cared for. Dr. Luke is gentle, clear in his communication, and incredibly thoughtful about working with insurance to keep costs manageable. I needed an urgent extraction, but because of an upcoming procedure, Dr. Luke took the extra step to contact my surgeon for clearance. I know that wasn't easy--my surgeon is notoriously hard to reach--but Dr. Luke persisted until he got the green light. When I returned for the extraction, he numbed the area with nearly painless injections and removed the tooth quickly and without discomfort. His assistant, Jess, was so attentive and kind throughout the process. In the days that followed, I experienced zero pain--truly remarkable. Even when my insurance denied part of the x-ray charge, Dani at the front desk went above and beyond to resolve it. In the end, I didn't pay a thing. This team is extraordinary. They're not just skilled--they're caring, persistent, and truly on your side. If you're looking for a dental office that treats you like family and delivers excellent care, I wholeheartedly recommend Corona Dental.

In Scottsdale and Phoenix and everywhere else I've lived. I've never had a dental office or doctor refuse to just file the secondary insurance and make you pay what Wen insurance covers only... My dentist in Scottsdale NEVER did that. She made my life harder. It was more work for her, so she didn't want to do it. So I went in and talked to her face-to-face and she said it's something they experimenting with and not to worry about it they would file it for my husband. I told her that paying out-of-pocket isn't ideal when you have double insurance. I mean 30 days later you get paid. But she said they would work it out this time and when my husband came in, she went behind my back and charged him. Not what we talked about!! And I personally don't like being lied to my face. So then they filed the secondary insurance and I had to wait 30 days and monitor it. Just one more thing I have to keep up with... That I shouldn't have to... Once I saw that it was paid, I waited 10 more days without hearing anything from them so I sent an email and told them that I saw that thet had been paid and I would come by and pick up the payment. Again, more work for me to monitor and now ask when they're going to pay me? She said 7 to 10 days... Well, 10 days of nothing. I mean, she demanded payment from my husband before they would treat him, so why should they sit on my money? So they replied to the email and said it would be 7 to 10 days. And I responded back. I would come pick it up that day. They could just cut me a check. It had already been 7 to 10 days, and after all they made my husband pay the day he went in. And they created all this extra work and stress for me... She doesn't want to do her job. And she doesn't want to make it easier on the customer. She even told me it was harder for her... So then I assume that she tells the dentist that I am a problem and they send me a letter saying they're going to discontinue us as customers. Well, good riddance. If the doctor doesn't want to hear the other side of the story and wants to hear this mouthy woman in the office. Go for it. So this really isn't a surprise. But it is quite disappointing. I mean how freaking hard is it to just file the secondary insurance? But they'd rather lose customers. So just sharing our story. Good luck if you go here. Because she's not very friendly and she doesn't want to do her job. But the dentist themselves were great, but apparently are listening to one side of the story from a lazy office person who doesn't want to help the customer. Goodbye. I'm sure I'll find another dentist office that will gladly do their job and not make life hard harder on me.

They booked us for a consultation initially due to it being for multiple teeth. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly, professional and welcoming. The consultation appointment was short and the extraction was booked for a few weeks out at a convenient time. The surgical appointment went very smoothly and Dr. Schmidt took excellent care of my husband, including a call later in the day to follow up. We had no complications whatsoever. My only real issue was with the initial consultation appointment where they wanted us to arrive 30 minutes early to complete paperwork. We had completed the paperwork online, none of which they apparently had. Then it appeared they were running behind on appointments as my husband was not called back until 30 minutes after his actual appointment time. I find that incredibly disrespectful to any patient, given their time is as valuable as those they are actually paying a service for. I get appointments run behind, but 30 minutes is excessive and with nobody kindly informing and apologizing to patients that this is what is happening is a big miss. Regardless of me being annoyed with that (my husband is so easy going he does not care and would literally sit there for an hour) given the level of care and service with everything else, this place is great!
