This test was particularly challenging because the remote testing for thisBar had a myriad of issues leading up to the test and during the test. During day 1 essay portion, my start time got delayed by more than an hour for connectivity issues and not having a proctor available. The 5 essays went the way I prepared until the PT essay. The cut and paste feature of the last few pages of the exam stopped working and I had to go back and forth between the file, case laws, and typing page. This affected my time management and rhythm but managed to submit a complete answer. Mrs. Fleming's PT technique saved me from panicking because I pretty much wrote from my outline. The technical issue I experienced with the cut and paste feature became an inconvenience. I did all the outlining during my practice PT's on the authorized whiteboard so I simply defaulted to that when the cut and paste feature stopped working. FFOL helped speed up my issue spotting with high accuracy. Mr. Fleming's emphasis on outlining was so helpful in organizing the structure of the essays, which helped gather my thoughts before I even started typing. I did so many practice outlines that day 1 of the test felt like an easy study day. Day 2 was a lot more challenging because I experienced numerous computer glitches that turned out to be the fault of the software company administering the test. The test was broken down into four 50 question blocks lasting 1.5 hours each. The morning session went smoothly. I finished the first 50 questions 20 minutes early. After taking a 5 minute break I finished the next 50 questions 25 minutes early. I was able to double check all my answers, which increased my confidence for the afternoon session. After taking a 45 minute lunch break I started the 3rd block. I experienced the 1st glitch when my computer went blank at question 35 and had a bunch more the rest of the way. The clock kept running during the glitches which lasted as long as 1 minute. I ended up using all the allotted time even though my pace was finishing with plenty of time to check my answers. My patience, rhythm, concentration was definitely affected the rest of the test. The fourth block was extremely difficult to keep focused because of all the disruptions. What saved me from complete disaster were all the timed practice tests I did during the BootCamp portion of the review. I was doing 100 timed questions the old method of paper testing, either in the morning or afternoon so I was very prepared. The online remote multiple choice felt easier to read which helped my timing improve from the practice tests. The Bar moved from NCBE to Kaplan for the questions and I did not practice any questions from Kaplan but it almost did not matter because I was using all kinds of practice questions. FFOL practice tests were more than sufficient to see similar question patterns whether old or new. The Finz book they assigned, I felt was much more difficult to finish within the time limit because of the length of the fact patterns, which definitely helped my timing during the actual test since they were much shorter in comparison. I highly recommend taking FFOL Bar prep as it helped me pass this extremely hard test even with the added technical issues adding to an already stressful test. I felt so confident on both days because I felt very prepared. Thank you Prof. Fleming and team for helping me overcome a huge hurdle to be able to finally practice law in California. I will forever be grateful.

He should be able to join the prechool level but he wanted me to get in the water and I want to make sure he is comfortable with the new place. They have 4 friendly female young instructors in the class together with probably other 5 families. Which i think is good because other swim school have only 1 instructor to 5 or 6 families. We did a couple songs like humpty dumpty, moto boat and etc. Activities like floating in the back, blow bubble, kicking the ball in the water, pretty much the same routine like other swim school. My kid is 46 months, parent is required in the water he is with me the whole time. He is the oldest in the group but he seems happy and like the pool and the facilities, so I will try the Sea Stars Preschool program and see if it better for him.

It has been almost a year now and my girls look forward to their swim lesson every week (and getting their sticker at the end of their lessons). She brought our nephew back against my better advice and appearantly has had better and more accommodating overall experience with them this time around. Ill give them two extra stars for this. However this tells me either A. Our previous instructor was the issue originally or B. They improved because of our review for us specifically. In addition my spouse has brought our newphew's sibling this time and I was a bit shocked and surprised to see them only giving a $5 per month discount for siblings sign-ups. I would have expected a $50 or 25% discount for this. Lastly, I do wish they had some sort of guarantee for early swimmers such as...kids will learn to swim independently within 3 months of lessons. There is no guaranteed like that here so it may take 1 months 1 year or 3 years for said kids to learn to swim which is a bit concerning for how much that is charged. I do know a couple competitors offer guarantees like this. Regardless overall this review does mark an improvement from last review.

The equipment wasn't clean and wasn't ready to go for my skills test appointment. The bag was missing the mask! I couldn't find the replacement until I looked under the manikins table and in one of the drawers. That wasted time. There should have been a spare set ready to go for my skills test upon check-in on the table. It was extremely hot in the room as well! There was no air conditioning in the room on a hot 90 degree day. I was literally dripping sweat doing the simulations until I realized there was a portable air conditioner. I did turn on the portable unit. It took awhile to cool down the room. Again, wasting time. The proctor had to intervene a few times because the internet connection was poor! It lost connectivity a couple of times and the connection was spotty. The person was very helpful but hard to understand. The instructions that were given were vague. On a positive note, the online portion was "excellent"! The course work was very convenient, easy to follow, and the videos were great! I loved doing the online modules prior and than doing the skills test from 4:00PM to 5:00PM. This saved a lot of time. I appreciate this option. My only recommendation is for the skills test on exam day to be ready to go for the scheduled appointment and better organized with complete kits to perform the skills tests. Also, a more reliable internet connection. Thank you for offering the Hybrid class! I would definitely consider testing this option again because my work schedule and the convenience, but with the hope that it would be more organized. My child looks forward to every lesson and has made so much progress since starting. I came back to Huntington Beach 2 weeks later with my boys and booked private lessons for all 3 of us per recommedation from the owners. They matched the instructors with each of us very well. Mine was 6'3" and could easily handle holding my board and helping me figure it out. My 10 yr old instructor had him surfing within 45min on day 1. The young lady instructing my 7yr old adjusted board, and had him up and surfing on day 2. At 56, with 3 knee injuries, including a torn meniscus, was able to stand up finally on day 3, 4 times, in some frothy (yet not too big) waves. The beach area is an ideal learning platform as it has no rocks, coral, or other obstructions underwater except lots of hard packed sand. In the end we had a special father & sons memory of learning to surf together. We were all successful. We had an amazing time, and the staff could not have been more helpful, encouraging, and supportive. I highly recommend private lessons, because I feel like the ROI is 90+% with private lessons, and about 45-55% with group lessons. IMO group lessons can be good later on as refresher.
