Dry noodle with chicken
Shalin P.

One of my Uzbek co-workers took a bunch of us here for lunch, and we had a really good experience. The space looks small from the outside, but it's quite large inside. They've done a nice job of making a modern decor. They start out the meal with complimentary rolls, which were very tasty. For my lunch, I tried the dry noodles were chicken, and I really liked that dish. They made their noodles in-house every day. The dish didn't have any spice to it, but there is a very good spicy oil you can sprinkle on top. There is a varied menu, and my Uzbek co-worker said the dishes are authentic. The only other location of this restaurant is in Brooklyn, so I think it's pretty cool they chose Alpharetta to open in. Service was great also, and there is plenty of parking in the shared lot.

Tashken style Plov - lamb, beef, rice, carrot, raisins, chickpeas

We like the ladziao rou the best. Overall their meat dishes are great - very flavorful. The cucumber salad is more like large slides of cucumber vs what the name suggests "smashed", but flavor wise it is good. It came out last, so we took it home and chilled it in the fridge for a day. The next day, the cucumber absorbed all the sauces and it tasted even better. The dry fried noodle is not too memorable, just a typical Chinese stir fried lomien.

Interior seating - very spacious

Such a great add to the ATL metro area! I love Uzbek food (one of my favorite cuisines), so I was so excited to hear a new place opening up! Laghman Express delivered The interior is really clean, bright, and nicely decorated with lots of seating. We tried the dry fried noodles, spicy chicken (surprisingly tender and flavorful!), and the samsa (beef was soooo tender). Absolutely delicious food - a great balance of spices like cumin and black pepper with good seasoning. Nothing we tried was super spicy, rather just well flavored. They did offer chili oil on the side to add spice if you wish. As an establishment opened just over a week ago, as expected there were some issues with service. However the staff is super friendly and seems to be trying their best, so I'm sure there is a learning curve still in progress. Hope to be back to review again!

Just when you start thinking everything tastes the same, central Asian cuisine shows up. This is Laghman Express' second location, coming out of Brooklyn. Why Alpharetta? I dunno, but I'm grateful to be able to try something new. With the name Express you probably think fast casual. It's not. It's full service. The cuisine varies with great range and flavor. Some things like the spicy lamb is spiced very well, but others were a little bland like the lamb schwarma. The dumplings and Laghman noodle soup were tasty. I'm looking forward to trying other stuff like their fish. Can't say enough good things about the seating. Super comfortable and modern. They run the bill table side so eating with a group is super convenient. Gotta check this place out!

Pomegranate tea

Laghman Express is absolutely amazing! This was our third time coming here, and somehow it just keeps getting better every single visit. Today I tried the Dapanji noodle dish paired with a fresh cucumber salad--both were incredible and full of flavor. The pomegranate tea was truly mind-blowing and something I'll be craving again soon. We also had the wonton soup and lamb shank soup, and wow... both were completely off the chain. Rich, comforting, and perfectly made. Everything about this place--from the food to the experience--has been consistently outstanding. Easily a 10 out of 10. We'll definitely be back again and again! We travel all the way from Stone Mountain, GA

Atlanta's first Uzbek restaurant! It's my first time trying Uzbek cuisine, I'm `pretty impressed! They are known for halal dishes and hand-pulled noodles, i really like Guyurou Laghman and Dapanji Noodles. The fried manty is a must-try for lamb lovers.

This is our second time eating here and honestly it's the best food we have had in Alpharetta. Every dish we have had here is exceptional. It's fresh and you can taste every bite! We love the tea service Everyone is so nice here. Our waitress whom we have had twice is so sweet. She explains all the dishes to us as we have never eaten this food from this region of the world. We love the eggplant dish! Like you want to lick the dish. The dumplings steamed are incredible. The cucumber salad is fantastic. My boyfriend had a noodle dish and I had a chicken kabob which was tender and flavorful! Chicken!! The seats are comfortable and you can have a great conversation with friends. It's our new favorite!

Lots of open space parking available. Outdoor was very cute with the white table cloths and pretty flowers. They had a fan with mist on outside which doesn't settle well with the white cloth table setup. Coming in there was no receptionist standing at the desk but someone approached promptly with a smile. Inside was well lit and clean. I felt like I walked into Central Asia. Food was amazing , limited selection but that's not going to stop me from coming back and introducing others to the first central Asian restaurant in Atlanta. The bread was unforgiving, salad hit the refreshing spot and the meat was well cooked. Service was alright, they could tighten up a bit maybe pour glass of water, check up on the customer sooner than later. If you're into trying new cultural cuisine, this should be your first stop. I could see this turning big. Congrats on the opening!

Went to is Uzbec central Asian Halal restaurant that has recently opened in Alpharetta. The food was busting with flavors, the cumin lamb and the dry beef noodles were amazing, the service was quick and very nice cute ambiance. I would definitely recommend this place, although Atlanta had a bunch of international cusine this is the 1st Uzbek restaurant here. The chain is from Brooklyn NY and it did not disappoint, meat lovers paradise

Central Asian Manty

First visit to Laghman Express and it did not disappoint! In researching the restaurant, we learned that it serves traditional Uzbek/Uyghur dishes, all meat served is halal, and no alcohol is served. Known for Laghman (hand pulled noodles), Plov (rice pilaf), Manty (dumplings), and Kebabs. We tried the Guyurou Laghman and Manty dumplings. Both were fresh and so flavorful. We will definitely be back to try the Plov, Kebabs and other delicacies!

Smashed Cucumber Salad

I used to live in Uzbekistan and it's hard to find Uzbek cuisine anywhere! I ordered a lot of food just to taste and reminisce and it did not disappoint! Get the plov! It's the national dish and it's legit!

Did not disappoint! Very hospitable staff and lovely interior. Elevated but still casual, Laghman is a new favorite in the area serving some delicious food! We enjoyed everything we ordered at lunch and the tea service was a great addition to the meal.

The bowl had greens, rice, japchae noodles, kimchi and an egg. Liberal dose of spicy sauce over everything. Tofu was crispy, noodles were savory. Someone brings you the food, but you put up your plates and stuff at the end of your meal. They also have a station for you to grab your own to-go containers and bags. The first thing to be aware of is to not let any of the photos fool you! The portions are very generous. Many people around me ended up taking to-go boxes (myself included). I got the Kang Nam chicken, the half-sized tteokbokki, and the kimchi fried rice. The chicken was crispy and tender, and the white sauce with onion was incredibly delicious. The kimchi fried rice was also very flavorful as well. The spices balance very well together. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the regular tteokbokki. It wasn't bad per se, but it also wasn't good either. I think there are better places to get tteokbokki, but no worries, their focus and strength here is obviously in their fried chicken. I would come again and would recommend this place to other people.

I understand there may have just been a rush, but in a customer-facing job it's not pleasant to make customers feel like an inconvenience for coming in. We were seated outside pretty quickly, but because it was very hot and we were directly in the sun, we asked if it would be possible to move to another table. When we asked our waiter, he told us to go ask the hostess ourselves. I've never had a waiter respond that way before. I expected him to check for us and let us know if moving was possible. We ended up asking the hostess directly, and to her credit, she did move us to another table. However, the overall attitude from the staff still felt cold and unwelcoming. We were really excited to try the food, but ultimately decided not to stay because we didn't feel comfortable spending money somewhere we weren't being treated as paying customers.

It wasn't packed but there were a couple of big tables already seated when we walked in. We never got the mangu and I had to find ways to distract myself since the food took a while to come. However, the servers were kind and apologized many times for the slowness. They even comped the extra rice for us. The ambiance was family friendly but I could see the place being a spot for adults to hang in the evening because there was open space. I think it would be a perfect venue for a small event. Definitely worth a try.
